I gotta say, after reading all the good reviews she had, I am sooo disappointed by the poor job Carmen did on my hair. First of all, If you if you’re trying to save some money she is NOT the person to go to. I had a groupon which I paid over $ 60 for and it was supposed to be for a basic haircut, full highlights and a style. She told me before hand that it would be extra if my hair was too long, which I understood and agreed to… So I went in and after looking at my hair she gave me a price of 40 extra bc my hair was long, fine. The whole time I was there she kept complaining about how much hair I had and this and that. She cut my hair shorter than what I told her, after I told her I just wanted a trim she ended up cutting at least 4 inches () and she also did a thinning (which she charged me 10 extra in the end). (WARNING: always expect to pay more than the original price she gives you, she did it to me and she did it to the person before me) so anyway, I told her originally I just wanted the highlights on the bottom part of my hair kinda like an ombré. She told me she would not accept my groupon for that so ok. I told her I just wanted partial highlights then since I really didn’t want them all over my hair. She said fine, I can do a balayage (after she cut my hair and thinned it out) I ended up paying 110 for a haircut and for a few streaks of bleach (she called a balayage) AND she didn’t even use toner on my hair, my hair looked hideous and now I’m gonna have to go pay someone else so they can fix it! Urghhh!

I visited Exquiste Salon and spa for hair color, Owner agreed to matchup the Groupon rate that was very reasonable. Once hair color was done, she charged me $ 90, stating that my hair are longer then 6 inches. Completely agreed, but At least she could have notified me before coloring my hair about the price difference as a courtesy.
Soon after, I sat in my car in the parking lot outside her salon, and I see all gray hair in the front. I went inside immediatly, she looked at my hair. Rather than re-​touching my hair again, she inturn justified her bad job by saying, it is not possible that the color will reach every strand. I just walked away with the intention of never ever returning to this salon, whose owner is so rude and really does not care of how to retain the customers.
I have been coloring my hair since last 10 years, and have got it done in the top salons. This kind of bad job I have never experienced after paying good sum of money.
Extremely terrible experience.

I had just purchased a Groupon for this salon. When I called the salon, I ended up speaking with Carmen, who wanted to discuss my hair, length, color, etc and continued asking odd questions over the phone that would normally be discussed in a salon. I immediately started to feel that she doesn’t know much about her profession, or at least how to color hair. She could not seem to understand my goal for hair color that day — which was really not complicated at all. She brought out color samples and looked through them and even tried selecting one for me without even confirming the color plan with me! When I asked her to tell me what she was planning on for color, she got defensive and said she could not tell me her recipe, or however she phrased it. That was when it became clear that I needed to leave this establishment and never return, and walked out. I have never done that before. Not only does this store not have the expertise, but the customer service was so poor. No smiles for me, a customer, walking through the door. Only evil glares. Groupon buyers beware!!!

Carmen was so nice! My color turned out great. I’ll definitely be back.

Had an extremely terrible experience with carmen. Her definition of a Keratin treatment is different from the entire world. After the treatment, she reveals that her treatment does not straighten hair BUT only restores, whatever that means. She is probably good for a a hair trim but definitely nothing more than that. Would definitely not recommend her.

I called the salon to check on a groupon I was thinking of purchasing. I wanted to know if the coloring I want would be covered in one of the packages. Carmen was extremely rude on the phone when I was asking my questions. She even hung up on me in the middle of me thanking her for her response! Safe to say I won’t be going there anytime soon. Or ever.

I was looking for a hair salon near by home and found this place at Grupon. This location is very nice and easy to find. Carmen is friendly and knows her job. She is very accurate with what suggested for my hair, both the style and products that need to be used. As I explained her what is my style, she was able to fulfill my expectations. I love how my harbor looks now.

Carmen took care of my sister and I today. What a really sweet lady! I had tried to get my hair cut in a certain style a couple of yrs ago, but the lady had no idea how to do it. Carmen was able to do EXACTLY what I wanted. It’s so perfect! Thanks so much. I can’t wait to come back again.
Also, my sister has super naturally curly hair and has had troubles in the past with finding someone who knows how to work with that type of hair. Carmen knew just what she was doing. Great job!!!

I’ve been coming to exquisite salon & spa since they opened ! I love the way Carmen cuts my hair and colors it for me. I got it blonde last summer and kept it like that for about 6 months but now I got black hair with my tips done & I just love it. It always smells amazing in the salon. You get a tropical feel in the salon it’s beautiful & very clean in every room ! Everyone there is very nice and flexible for appointments. Defiantly go visit you’ll love it !

I was referred to Carmen at Exquisite Salon & Spa by my cousin who recently had her hair cut there. Carmen did a great job cutting my hair. The cost was very reasonable (she washed my hair, conditioned, cut, and blow dried into a simple style) all for $ 25!
I had no problem getting an appointment and the location is convenient — right off the 35 and Sam Bass Road.
I’ll definitely be going back! Thanks Carmen for the great haircut and service!
