Firestone Complete Auto Care

In 2014 I went to this Firestone for my state inspection. I was told that I needed a lot of repairs in order to pass the inspection. Among these repairs included fixing the license plate light bulb (which they «repaired» but only three months later it needed to be changed again) and replacing the tires. Firestone represented that the new tires they sold to me would last 70,000 miles. Fast forward two years and 30,000 miles later — these tires are no longer sufficient to pass another state inspection. I went back to this Firestone to exercise the warranty. Without checking my vehicle, the rep decided to make a conclusory as well as false statement that I hadn’t rotated my tires. They would not honor the warranty unless I could take the time to search through my receipts and invoices from the past two years in order to determine which companies I had my oil changed over the past two years and then have each one of them send evidence of rotating the tires. Such a time-​consuming project is not reasonable under the circumstances when faced with the state vehicle registration deadline. More importantly, there is no valid reason that tires warranted for 70,000 miles would last only 30,000 unless someone at Firestone did something wrong. Stay far away from this place!

The guys here are super helpful and honest! Got an oil change/alignment/rotate&balance. My first time at this location and everything went smooth! Randy and Micah were great!

Came here last weekend and they had a good deal on some tires. I bought 4 Toyo tires for under $ 400. I don’t know what sale thy had but I was loving it. The only downside was they don’t install on my BMW. Usually, BMW suggest to go through them but I didn’t want to pay $ 250 for a $ 50 job. Went in Austin and found a place to do that. Works just as well. Now I can schedule my alignment through BMW. Good job Firestone! Way better customer service than Pep Boys.

So sent the info requested & there was absolutely no follow up by The company. Sad as they are the closest place to us– but I will not be going back !!

I went to Firestone to get my tires replaced. I recieved excellent customer service from Randy. He went out of his way to make sure my tire situation was taken care of. I was completely satisfied with the way they handled my car and I got an excellent deal. I am so very happy and thankful. I will definitely recommend them to all my friends and family!!!

Took my car in this morning after calling in and speaking with Andrew
and waited 3 hours after being told the job would take 1 hour only for these guys to tell me that they couldn’t get my alternator off… I ended up having to have my vehicle towed elsewhere to get the job done, right. Going toward, I will only consider Firestone for oil changes (if that). Also, the manager, Jason is very rude and doesn’t seem to be a bit concerned about the customers time and concerns… wonder if he has any previous managerial experience.

Very disappointed with the way my trip to Firestone turned out. I went in there knowing what my car would need to be fixed, they tried to tell me I could not fix what I needed without getting my air conditioner fixed also ($ 822). I took it somewhere else to get a second opinion and that place fixed it for me for $ 40. The one thing I will say is that they were polite when I told them I wanted a second opinion and when I came to pick my car back up from them.

They fixed my flat for free! I have large aftermarket tires on my truck, which I did not purchase from this store. Andrew and the guys at this store fixed my tire for free. Thanks Andrew, you have earned my future service!

Chris and Jason are so awesome! They fixed my two broken lug nuts which the Dallas (Lovers Lane) location over tightened causing them to break off. In addition, they gave me great advice for handling the poor customer service I received at the Dallas location.

From reading previous reviews, if this store was not given 4+ stars since April 2015, then the customer was either very impatient, or they are incompetent and needs their competency level checked immediately. If these reviews were posted a year ago, I would have bowed down and agreed completely. Every since this store has changed management earlier this year, quality couldn’t be better, staff couldn’t be friendlier, and they don’t beat around the bush. Quality takes time and unless you’re the President of the U.S., you will need to understand the «first come, first serve» rule on the weekends. Full staff constantly, the employees are always smiling, and they make sure you’re taken care of.
If you want it done right, and the first time, come to this store. If you want to be «ripped a new one», follow Fadi W.‘s advice.

Unfortunately I had to come back and change my review for this location. This Firestone location is under new management from when I first posted a review and it has been all downhill since this guy took over. The last three times either my wife or I took our cars in, we were denied service because they were too busy. I could understand if we dropped our cars off towards the end of the day but all three times we went around 11 AM. Why even keep your doors open? The employee I spoke to today even told me he has never had to deny service to someone until he worked at this location. The last time they actually worked on my car, I dropped it off right when the store opened. I called at 2 PM to check the status and they hadn’t even looked at it yet.
The last manager did an excellent job running this store. I have no clue what this new manager is doing. I’m wonder if he even has any management experience or training. This is not a good look for Firestone. I have no clue how this guy has managed to keep this position. They always tell me that they’re understaffed. He probably thinks that he’s saving on labor cost but he’s actually losing money by under-​staffing. Or maybe he is unfamiliar with the term «labor cost.» I really hope someone higher up than him looks at these reviews so that they can train him on how to run a business or give him a position that better suits his skill set.
However, I cannot complain about the actual service on my vehicles. But given that they won’t even take my car in unless I get there right when the store opens, I am done with this location and possibly even Firestone. Lamb’s is only a couple of miles away. You may pay more but they’ll never deny you service because of poor management.

Good, friendly staff. Waits can be a bit long if you are not careful in your timing. Good overall experience.

They take appointments for Sunday, but refuse to honor them. I went to get an oil change with a coupon specifying 5 quarts of oil. I have changed my oil many times and it takes less than 5 quarts, but they insisted on the up charge and took almost 2 hours for an oil change. Go elsewhere for a professional experience, they have no concept of service.

The manager James is super helpful. Fixed me right up when I was in a hurry. Definitely recommend this location. Customer care was A1.

I will never go back. Made an appointment, they pulled my truck in an hour after the appointment. They wouldn’t top off any fluids or wipe off the oil from head gasket cover, that smelled wonderful by the way ! Jus completely not customer satisfaction I would expect from such a large franchise.

Molasses moves faster in the winter than these guys. Slow, Slow, SLOW.
I feel like it was at a cheap brake place that is trying to work you for every penny you got.
If you need honest mechanics I would go to Round Rock Automotive & Muffler — right around the corner not these guys.

Seriously avoid this place at all costs! They have made dangerous errors that could’ve caused serious damage to our vehicles or harm to us. Unfortunately we discovered most of the errors at a later date or we would’ve never went back multiple times. Once, they didn’t latch my husbands hood all the way down and luckily we realized it while we were under 30 mph. The second time we bought new tires there, they didn’t tighten the lug nuts all the way, causing severe knocking and shaking of the tires after about 1,000 miles. They also lost our wheel lock, not dangerous but a real inconvenience since we had to go to Ford and have them issue a new one! When we notified them of their errors they couldn’t be less concerned with their mistakes.

My husband has used this location for several years, and, without fail, has to wait several hours for any service. It seems there is often a mechanic out, so even when he made an appointment for 9:00 Sunday morning, there was still a several hour wait for a simple oil change. I went there once at 7:00 am (when they opened) to get a tire changed. Not only was my (standard) Suburban tire not in stock, but it was going to be at least an hour before someone else came in who could go to their Hutto location to pick it up. I ended up volunteering to drive over and get the tire myself, and was back in 30 minutes. My husband went this morning at 7:10 and there was already a 2 – 3 hour wait for an oil change. He went to another oil change place and got in immediately.

The facility looks clean and the employees seem knowledgable, but there is a whole lot they aren’t telling you.
I went in to have my A/​C repaired since it stopped working a few months back. They told me the repair was simple, but a little pricey. The A/​C control relay (a part that cost 106.99 + 30 labor) had shorted and it needed to be replaced.
They recommended an A/​C evac. and recharge (which is nice but unnecessary) with an additive tune up. They also recommend a flush of my anti-​freeze, an aliment service and a tire rotation (which are all recommended services for my vehicle mileage.)
They also seemed to have found a leak in my engine gasket which is a noticeable problem because your engine cover will leak oil across the seam. (This was actually the only legit problem I thought I might have had with the car… turns out that was crap too)
Heres the kicker (s): I didn’t have any of these services done and I’ll tell you why.
The A/​C control relay is a $ 38 part and it is literally a plug (fuse) that is easily located next to my battery. The repair took me 5 minutes after I ordered the part.
My A/​C blows cold just fine and didn’t need a recharge and my anti-​freeze is something I keep topped off myself
I had just had brand new tires put on my vehicle the week prior to taking it in, not only had they been brand new, but I also had them aligned. So the jackasses at Firestone hadn’t even looked at my car before asking me if I want to pay them $ 100 for a completely unnecessary service.
Also, the valve cover gasket they said must be broken because of the seeping oil. I cleaned that oil leak up to see where the seep was coming from exactly before I considered having it repaired. Its been 3 months with regular driving and there isn’t a leak in sight. A $ 170 repair I just avoided.
How much was the total of my visit for completely unnecessary repairs?
$ 685.95
THATS WHAT THEY WANTED ME TO PAY THEM FOR CRAP I DIDN’T NEED!
Think about this the next time you send in your mother, sister, wife, or child to a shop that doesn’t shoot you straight.
Oh while I was there I listened to a guy sell a woman a brand new set of tires I could tell she didn’t want. I seriously wish I had stepped in.

Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep, the car went Beep, Beep, Beep!!! The other night the Batmobile cruised into a nice restaurant. When we left the restaurant it was dark, when the Batmobile was cranked up, there was no front lights. DOH! Oh Batmobile what is wrong you have no lights? This is going to be fun!
On the drive home, ekes, watch out for that tree, there’s a mail box, that was close, just follow the white lines, drive slower!!! Anyway we make it home in one piece and were lucky not to be seem by the man!
The next morning early I drove to Firestone, no problem since it was daylight. When I entered I was greeted by a nice young man and he took all my information and told me it would be about two hours. Ok that is fine the Batmobile needs a fix, so I went next door to eat breakfast while I waited. When I was done eating I went back and waited in the lobby playing with my phone. It took about 2.5 hours which was OK with me. They also did a few other items I needed done. The service that day was fine and the cost not as much as I envisioned. So I was OK with the service, I drove away and tested the lights and they were fine. So that night I could fly like the wind again!
The Batmobile was A-​OK!
Would I go back? Yes when I need service for the Batmobile.
