The food is great & there’s a lot of it! The amaretto cheesecake & limoncello cake were awesome! The service is great as well. This is my new favorite Italian restaurant!

New York/New Jersey Itlalian at its finest! Way more than Pizzeria, meat & pasta dishes too! Family run for quality, long term employees too. Always have left overs, so much food! Priced right, about $ 10 for pizza & $ 14 for pasta dishes. A little tight for parking, but worth it. Always taken home desserts, always full. Really nice wine selection and served sodas & tea in carafes so no waiting for refills. Casual sit down Italian, best in central Texas!

By walking through the doorway from a discreet store front, you are moved into a classic Italian diner. A pizzeria, family owned with deep roots(the family tree is displayed by a multi generational photo) with traditional pastas, classic sauces and chilled salads. A nice wine list and excellent service add to the experience and the inevitable to go box(boxes) allow you to continue that experience into the late hours or early morning at home. I suggest ordering dessert to go, actually would suggest several.

Amazing!!! Every dish is great! I regret being in Round Rock for 9 year and barely tried it this year. Will not go another year without Gino’s!

By far the best Italian food I’ve had in a long time. There is nothing bad here that you can order. All their food is authentic and is served in a lovely family friendly atmosphere. 5 stars!

I’d heard about Gino’s and finally decided to go there for a fabulous dinner all by myself. I ordered mussels to start which were bathed in flavorful garlic butter sauce & the bread and olive oil dipping sauce was nice. I ordered their sampler meal of lasagna, chicken parm and fettuccini alfredo and subbed a Caesar salad instead of the regular salad. No upcharge for this either! I was disappointed that the Caesar salad was bagged romaine and the dressing wasn’t house made but from a bottle, hence the 4 stars. My meal arrived and was amazing. No disappointments here; quality cheese, sauces and I had tons left to take home for later. Everyone around me was ordering pizza so that’s what I’ll head back for next. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and busy for a Monday evening shortly after opening. Skip the chain Italian and head for the real deal at Gino’s. You’ll be happy you did.

Gino’s is much more than a pizzeria. I dined here years ago and completely forgot about this northeast(Jersey) Italian restaurant. Gino’s reminds me of Reale’s so much. By that I mean simple Italian food done very well. As an appetizer try their fried raviolis and marinara sauce. I ordered a sample entrée so I could try their chicken and eggplant parmesan, WOW! My dining companion ordered the linguini and clam sauce. I make a wonderful linguini and clam sauce(white of course) and Gino’s was absolutely terrific with plenty of clams, garlic, and of course the pasta was el dente. If you are going to cheat keep cheating you already had fried raviolis and pasta so dive into their warm bread and olive oil dip. I did see a couple of Pizzas go by and as you would expect they looked delicious. Yea I’m going to have to return as I definitely need to explore some of their other options…

This place makes great food. We have been going fairly regularly for a few years now. Service has always been great too. Has a family owned feel to it and they have been around a long time. It gets busy on Friday and Saturday evenings so we do take out a lot at those times. But have noticed it lightens up after the dinner rush. The lasagna beats them all ! Actually everything we’ve tried us been delicious. If I had to get picky it would be about the side salad. It’s pretty simple and plain, and I don’t like black olives. So I skip that and do dessert instead !

Walking into this place I didn’t know what to expect but the food was fantastic. I had the Lasagna and it was a yummy huge portion that I had to take home for lunch the next day. The staff was super friendly. I came back last week for the second time with friends and they loved it as well.

One of the best Italian restaurants I have been to. It had a rustic feel with good atmosphere. Portions are generous, flavor was good. The staff was friendly. Everything you could ask for in a good restaurant.

This is mine and my husband’s go-to spot for Italian. Authentic, homemade Italian. We like to try something different every time we go and have loved all of it. So far our favorites are the mussels fra diavolo, lasagna and chicken portobello ravioli. Chances are you’ll like anything you choose though. Must try!

Since we moved to RR my husband has been asking us to pay this joint a visit, and one day we finally made a lunch stop. I had the most incredible bread with the BEST olive oil dipping sauce. We split a chicken parmigian and a lasagna– both easily some of the best Italian I have eaten(only better being in Chicago.) Our tomato basil soup also hit the spot. The service was terrific, the ambiance intimate and friendly. Can’t eat like this all the time, but super happy to support local fantastic restaurants in my hood.

A five star place needs to have awesome food, great service and fair prices. Food — everything is average with the exception of the pizza which is great. Price — not great not bad Service –first off she never comes by to check on us we had to ask the bus girl for bread 3 times. Server comes back to tell us she lost our ticket!!! It’s lunch time we need to get back to work lady. One apology and no compensation really? She did not act like she was sorry at all. Look out for a tall lady in her mid to late 49s dark skin. If she takes your order rewrite and remember it in case she forgets your order!!!

Our large group of 10 enjoyed a meal together at Gino’s. The service was accurate, fast and very friendly. The food was as expected for a fine Italian restaurant and lived up to our expectations. Highly recommended.

Went for dinner at nearby Jaurez Restaurant but it was closed so we decided to try Gino’s. It was around 815pm or so. It was pretty empty and it still took a few minutes to be seated but the staff seemed attentive to our presence. The olive oil was lighter than I would have preferred and had no taste or body. The herbs were good though. Bread perfect. The big issue: THEYPUTLETTUCEINTHEIRINSALATACAPRESI! And there was no fresh basil and barely any balsamic but tons of their herb blend and cheap olive oil. Do they serve this bc they think Americans eat this cr*p?! This sham of insalata capresi was $ 10! I ordered spaghetti with marinara. The pasta was not al dente and the marinara had too much liquid. For two adults plus tip it was $ 50 of sub par food. I had better Italian cuisine off a hot plate from an Italian cook in Austria! Blech blech blech!

I wish I could add another half star to make the review truly accurate. Not being the case, I’ll continue… There is a movement in making restaurants«nice places» by offering very swanky and contemporary décor, settings and location, bit Gino’s maintains the«old school» Italian Joint with class– Set in a small strip mall location, it still achieves the proper family feel that it’s had likely since opening; dark wood, slatted windows, bottles of woven-reed covered bottles fill place. One could be convinced the corpses of past business associates have been discovered in the alley behind the place(«it’s nothing personal. It’s just business. «) which lends to the Old Italian vibe. The wait staff is busy and attentive, and not a one of them looks like they are the type that need to be enticed away from a smart phone addiction to be serviced, as happens a lot in a college town. From my half dozen visits, I’ve noted that most of the clientele are families, professionals and older folk, and there is no fear of obnoxious parties Indeed, the food comes out as soon as it’s out of the oven– occasionally volcanic, which is No Bad Thing in my opinion, but the kitchen runs never leave diners more than a minute or two from everyone having their food. Now, about the food. I’m a middle-aged self-professed Foodie and I’ve eaten the run of the Italian Ouvre all across the US and many countries, but the lasagna here is the best of ALL of them. There is a melding of the cheese blend and the meats that is simply divine and not to be found anywhere else. If you stop reading here I will feel that my job here is done. The garlic cheese bread is good and served with a homemade marinara, but honestly you can pass it up unless you’re really hungry as they bring a complementary Italian loaf basket and a fresh garlic and olive oil dip that is similarly satisfying without the extra(but affordable) four bucks. The side salads are not piled upon with toppings and extras(tomato slices, black olives and onion slivers) but the greens are a really nice mix where Iceberg doesn’t seem to make an appearance. The House Italian is a simple mix of cold-press olive oil, red wine vinegar, garlic, and a few spices, but the addition of(I’m guessing) parmasan in it pairs with the salad quite nicely and is a family favorite– make sure you mix it with your fork in the small ramekin before pouring it on; the ingredients settle. If you do opt for a dinner-type salad, they have the antipasto style and other options that pile on Really Good Things. The pizza is a solid offering, with a light but semi-crunchy tooth, and they avoid something that I consider a sin, which is not putting enough tomato sauce on the pie which a lot of the Bistro type places commit; nor do they create a puddle like a chain place. The cheese blend is fresh and stringy(kids love that sort of thing). Summation– This is the sort of place that becomes a «default» by weight of solid offerings and quality around the board. Enjoy. And try the lasagna!

This place is absolutely on the«DeeLish» list! I’ve been stalking this restaurant for almost a year, I pass it when I head down to Pluckers or that burger joint. Finally a Friday night when I get a craving for real Italian food. I notice the parking lot was full and thought dang it’s not even 6:00 and it’s pack. The place is small meaning it’s not like your chain restaurant where there is lots of tables and not enough servers. As soon as we got we got a table for 2. I looked around and there’s a lot of families that dine here. Looking at the menu, you will see dishes on there that you can find at a place like this. Creasy ordered pasta the way he liked it and I ordered Chicken Piccata. Our meals were out within 15 minutes and piping hot. Creasy loved his dish, said he loved the sauce and the pasta was perfect. The portion on the Chicken Piccata is enough to have left overs for lunch. I saved enough room for dessert, so I got a Limoncello Cake. It was very moist and the perfect serving size to end the meal. As we left, the waiting area was packed. I would suggest getting here early if you are hungry, if not it is worth the wait. The staff here is very friendly and patient even though you see them hustling all over the place, they still take their time to hear your order and fill your drinks.

My husband and I were there tonight for dinner. We went on a whim so we did not make a reservation, but we will next time. We say right away, but by the time we left, the waiting area was packed! Pam waited on us and was outstanding! Because it was or first time, we tried a little of everything. High points: the desserts were not too sweet and that was a huge plus. My husband got a calzone and he was blown away. The lady(we didn’t get her name) who brought the bread and pre-bussed or table was right on point. The tomato soup was yummy! The only complaint that I have was that the breading was a little thick on the calamari(I would likely order it again though) Thank you, Pam and Happy 2015! Next time, we will surely be requesting you.
