I had a very bad experience with this company. I will avoid them like the plague and will warn others I know to avoid them as well.

Thank you for reminding me that it was 14 months ago. That just goes to show you how bad the experience was that 14 months later I am still thinking about it and motivated to post a review.

My AC went out over the weekend and luckily it cool down enough outside that I could wait till Monday. Put in an online request on Sunday not expecting a response until the morning. Sunday night got a response, confirming a time the next day. They next day I received a heads up call 29 minutes before they arrived so I could leave work. He diagnosed the problem, which was a crack in my coil, showed it to me to validate the issue and suggested a plan of action. I had 3 different bids emailed to me within the hour. Overall very happy with the service.

All I needed was installation of two new thermostats. They scheduled an appointment for a Saturday 3 days after I called, the technician showed up on time, and the installation was smooth and quick. Everything seems to work great, and he didn’t leave a mess. It doesn’t get better than that!

Eddie (owner) worked extra hard to diagnose an issue we were having with our Nest thermostat. This is one of the few a/​c companies that will go the extra mile to make sure everything is in top-​notch shape. He even worked with the manufacturer of our a/​c unit to cover the part under warranty even though it had just expired a couple of months prior.
Locally owned and it reflects in their customer service 100%. Very positive experience with them and will continue to use in the future. If you’re looking for an honest a/​c company that will stand by their work, this is it!

I was in the HEMOC unit in San Antonio with my very ill son, and after learning that his father died, I was a mess. It was the 2^nd time that I had been in the HEMOC in 1 week. The first time after coming home exhausted, I noticed wet streaks all over my walls. My A/​C had busted and leaked all over my upstairs. In a vulnerable state, I asked neighbors for a recommendation. Greenleaf is who I went with.
At the hospital, the technician told me that I needed a new AC, I knew that was probably the case. They quoted me a price, and while I was absent a friend stayed at my place to see the work was done. I then get a call from Eddie stating a higher price than the originally quoted one. Exhausted I agreed to pay even though I felt badly about it.
When I arrived home from San Antonio, there was trash all over my house and out in my yard. I took pictures and gave them a bad review on my neighborhood site (where he has people that he grew up with recommend him). Then Eddie called, said that he did not do business like that. He did fix it, and gave my money back to what was originally quoted, but he asked me to remove my post on Steiner Moms and Tots… I thought that was strange, and I felt like that request was going a little too far. After all, it should have been done the right way the first time.
Fast forward to this last Friday. The new (4 month unit) stopped working. Not ever wanting to work with these people (especially Eddie, whose ego is the size of a planet) I called Fox.
Having a medically fragile child, I wanted to AC fixed ASAP, but Fox would not touch it, saying that it was under warranty. So, I called Greenleaf. I was met by a rude attitude by the woman who was on the phone, and she would not talk to the FOX tech who was there. She asked me why I didn’t call her straight off the bat, and that my warranty was probably void since I had FOX out.
Being extremely upset, I had to have my boyfriend talk to Eddie, who went on and on about how he «was in the right». BUT– he would fix it the next morning.
Everything was resolved, but I would not recommend them. It was very upsetting to have all that brought back, and they are not very pleasant people to deal with.

This service was such a blessing to us. I’m so grateful for this company they came to find out why my air conditioning stopped working. Didn’t charge me for the call or the check up. It was the switch turned off. I wanted to give him at least $ 50 but

I was going to update my review to a more positive one, especially since I did receive a refund from this company, but then I saw the rebuttal to my review which didn’t apologize but instead tried to shame me into feeling bad.
Your tech DID break my a.c. when your thermostat is at 76 before the tech comes and rises to 90 after they leave, that’s called breaking your a.c.
The tech was supposed to return, but would not have come for 7 hours after. Not 3, but 7.
I have young children. Eddie thought he was being funny on the phone when he copped a who cares attitude when I called them to come back.
Here he goes again, unable to admit he’s wrong.
And he assumes he has properly matched my real name with my profile name and posts It in the hopes of shaming me.
I’m more than happy to continue this and turn up the dial to make it an all out war of you wish. Keep it coming, and it looks like we are going to have to take this further unless you learn to apologize when you are wrong.

I highly recommend Green Leaf A/​C and Heating! Not only did the tech fix my problem in a timely manner, the prices are very reasonable as well.
The receptionist was very respectful and courteous, gave informative information regarding the tech that would be coming out to the house, and asked questions regarding the issue — where it was located etc so that the tech would be aware/​prepared for the job.

Just had amazing service from Henery at Green Leaf. My AC went out last night and we toughed it out until this morning. I call them early, but not quite first thing and within 30 minutes, Henery was here. He diagnosed that my capacitor had gone bad within seconds of opening the unit, found that it is still under warranty and was able to take care of everything, charging only for labor. The fix was quick, my house is now cool and comfortable again, and Henery was able to teach me a lot about how to better care for my unit as a first time home buyer.
Excellence at its best!

My AC gave out and wouldnt cool the house a few weeks back. We had to get through the night without it and managed to find a tiny fan (fit for a smurf) to help circulate air in our bedroom. As soon as I woke up, I searched on Unilocal for relief. The first company with more than 80 stellar reviews was a no brainer. Eddie came by and was professional through and through. He replaced a broken part and was upfront about the cost. It took him less than 30 minutes to replace it. We had a good chat about my dislike for a certain auto service department (see my reviews) and recommended the one he frequented. It was a pretty good day! They also offer a maintenance package that is reasonably priced. Take it! Living in Texas during the summer months without AC is HELL!

Wow, these guys are great. 20 year old a/​c went out in the middle of july. Called them up and they where able to come take a look just a few hours later. Diagnosed the problem and had the fan and capacitor on hand. Replaced both right away.
Unfortunately those items where bad because the compressor was dying and wore those parts out. Ended up that my hvac system was at the end of the line. They did not charge me for the parts and gave me a quote for a new system. Definitely recommend these guys. Thanks Eddie!

I called another company on a coworker recommendation on a Monday and they wound up returning my call 2 days later. I tried Green Leaf Air and Heating that same Monday night based on Unilocal reviews and set up an appointment for Wednesday to check out my AC that was blowing hot air.
I received a text, email and phone call about 30 min prior to arrival time on Wed. Eddie diagnosed that the motor was bad and had it changed out in under an hour. He also hosed off the unit which probably hadn’t ever been cleaned. He checked everything else and let me know what he was looking for at each step. I’m an engineer so of course I asked a lot of questions. He really knew his stuff. He was also super friendly and happy to tell me about the equipment.
It was very apparent that he cared about providing quality service. I felt the price he charged was also very reasonable. I’m weary of service companies overcharging or replacing components unnecessarily but I’m confident you don’t have to worry about that with Eddie. I own rental property in the Austin area and I’ll be using Green Leaf from here on out for all my units.

Let me start by saying that the owner has changed the Unilocal posting on it’s app under More Business Information that DID say «FREE Service calls for all our Unilocal customers! Licensed and Insured.» After my phone conversation with him, complaining that I was charged a service fee, he’s added «during regular business hours». While that halfway fixes the problem for new customers, it does nothing for me. Nor was he willing to work with me in any way, insisting that he had informed me of the service charge in advance.
When I called Saturday morning, left a message and got a call back, my assumption (I know) was that I was speaking with a technician. At no time did the man I spoke with indicate he was the owner. So, even though he told me about the $ 85 service fee, I explained to him that was not in agreement with the Unilocal information. Rather than get into a discussion with someone who was not empowered, I made a decision to have them come out to fix our furnace (it was definitely cold on Saturday), and chose to deal with the charge later. Again, assuming (there I go again) the owner would be more reasonable.
My rationale for disagreeing with the $ 85 service fee became more critical when I was informed by the tech fixing my furnace that the cost was going to be $ 120 for a capacitor. Shocked by the price, I searched the internet and found that anyone can buy the very same capacitor for as little as $ 4.45. Even Sears sells them for $ 18. However, I understand that a business has to make a profit and I now believe that the $ 120 was not completely unreasonable when factoring in labor, overhead etc. BUT NOT WITH THE ADDED $ 85 SERVICE FEE!
The technician spent a grand total of 15 minutes diagnosing and installing the capacitor (with my assistance). So, if you think the service fee is reasonable, and you don’t think the wording of the Unilocal info was misleading, be my guest. Go ahead and use this guy. Just know that, if you have any disagreement with him, you’re not going to come out on the winning side.
I had 3 recommendations for owner Eddie H. Now I only have 2 since he changed the wording on the Unilocal site:
1. Don’t list your business hours to include Sat and Sun. Most reasonable people expect that listed business hours are regular hours and should not be subject to a service fee.
2. On your invoice separate your charges to show Parts, Labor and maybe even Overhead. It would be much easier to swallow a capacitor that costs $ 5 for say, $ 20, and then a minimum 1 hour charge of $ 100 for Labor/​Overhead than being billed $ 120 for the $ 5 part.

Avoid this guy unless you’re starving for drama.
I received a quote for $ 1,200 to replace an AC coil, which I found out later he diagnosed OVER THE PHONE. After the work was done, I was asked to pay $ 1,800. We settled on $ 1,500. The following day, I noticed water leaking through my ceiling and onto my wood floors directly under the AC unit in the attic. Eddie came by, fixed the leak, surveyed the damage — and then proceeded to yell and scream and cuss that it wasn’t his fault. He became so irate and threatening that I called the police.
I’ve now got water damage in attic and ceiling and this clown won’t divulge the name of his insurance company so I can get it repaired. Very hateful.
If I could rate zero stars, I would.

Before my first full summer in my new-​to-​me home, I purchased a Groupon for a Complete Heating and Cooling 64 Point Tune Up. I was totally skeptical about needing it, but my mom made me do it. Boy, was I wrong.
I had very low expectations for the tune up. I expected the service rep to just fiddle with a couple of things and tell me I was good to go for the summer. Again, I was wrong. Green Leaf totally exceeded my expectations in every way!
The service rep was completely professional and so helpful. My expectation of a breezy (ha!) visit came to a screeching halt when he detected a leak in my A/​C coil! Yikes! All I could see were dollar signs flashing in front of my eyes.
He thoroughly explained everything to me in a way I could understand and demonstrated throughout the process how their equipment is the most sophisticated available. After he found the leak, he gave me a ton of helpful information and even called the manufacturer to find out if my coil was somehow still under warranty. And it was — a miracle! I was so impressed by his effort and follow through.
This all happened with only a few days remaining on the first year of my home warranty. Since this was going to be an expensive fix, but was thankfully covered, I had to hand it off to my home warranty company and their assigned vendor.
The awesome Green Leaf rep told me exactly what to say to the next A/​C rep assigned by my home warranty company. He even explained to me what should and should not happen during the visit from the new vendor and how I would know if they were doing a real fix or a quick fix.
I’m certain the experience with the new vendor went much more smoothly thanks to the good work by Green Leaf. When the new vendor arrived, I said everything exactly the way Green Leaf prepped me to ask for the real fix. They could tell I was equipped with a ton of information and asked what company had found the leak. He said, «Green Leaf? Oh, they’re good guys.»
I can’t imagine a better endorsement than a competitor validating your work. When I have the need and opportunity to choose an A/​C company in the future, it will be Green Leaf.

I really appreciate fast, courteous, honest service and that is exactly what I got when I called Green Leaf this week.
My AC broke late last night. With sweat dripping down my face and a sinking feeling in my heart («Oh no, what if we have to replace the whole system?!!») I started Unilocaling, looking for repair companies. Green Leaf was in my area and they had excellent reviews. Then I saw their hours. They were still open even though it was 10 o’clock at night! «That can’t be right, «I thought, «that’s a misprint.» But it was right! I called and Eddie answered right away and managed to squeeze me in to his already full schedule for the next day.
Today he arrived on time, cheerfully fixed my AC in like, 15 mins, didn’t overcharge me, and drove off into the sunset.
My hero!
