Hands Off My Funnel Cake

Hands off my funnel cake indeed! Usually only available at fairs and amusement parks, the aroma lead me to the food truck like a zombie in search of brains. Such a sweet smell, such a rare sweet, such… SO cheap! A mere 3 bucks for a small (a little extra if you want fruit on top)…aaand they offer shaved ice (aka snow cones).
For any of you who have read my previous reviews, you know I profess that I don’t really have a sweet tooth (except vanilla ice cream and crème brûlée, because in my mind that don’t count), even I couldn’t resist almost strong arming my husband into deciding he wanted one… just so I could have a bite… turned out to be more like three. So good! Not overly sweet, not greasy at all, served in record time, and presented in a very unique way… a perfect square of delightfulness. Turns out HOMFC employs a handmade, one-​of-​a-​kind metal mold when they get the fluffy goodness. It really is more like a «cake» with that still present nostalgic flavors of pancakeish shaped flop, but much easier to eat. Wowza! Great invention!
Great treats, unbelievable prices, and the guys who run the place couldn’t be any more friendly. Everything served with a smile. Now, I just like that. :-)
