Super cute cut! I wanted to go short but was afraid of a bad cut but was thrilled when Chanel boldly hacked away over half of my hair to leave a very professional, edgy pixie cut that I get compliments on all the time!

Love the salon and the staff! Would highly recommend. Yendry and Melanie are great with cuts. Yendry is also fantastic with color. I receive compliments on my hair all the time! The prices are consistent with professional salons in the area, if not more reasonable. The salon itself is comfortable and in a unique, quaint old building. Booking appointments on-line is quick and easy too!

My hair was a rats nest. Long, frizzy, split ends and no haircut for a year other than my attempts to trim my own bangs. Had the most amazing experience with Chanel. She educated me on the best ways to get my hair healthy and gave me a fantastic haircut. Exactly what I asked for and I love it! Happy!

Since moving back to the Austin area 9 years ago, I had a hard time finding a stylist I liked. I went to downtown Austin boutiques, Ulta, everywhere I could find good reviews from Austin to Georgetown. The problem was A.) No matter how specific or how many pictures, I never got something I liked, and would move on to the next. B.) The worst part was the snobby attitude of these stylists at the boutiques! Melanie to the rescue! I called two years ago and talked to Melanie and have been a dedicated client ever since. Not only is Melanie one of the owners(love to Yendry too!) but she is as down to earth as they come. She listens to your wants and needs, offers suggestions, all with a smile! I alway walk out of there looking and feeling fabulous! I recommend Envy and Melanie to everyone!

BEWARE! Irene cut my hair– Well, she chopped off all my hair. I gave her specific instructions and she kept arguing and proceeded to cut my hair the way she wanted. After I left and could really look at the damage I made a phone call to the salon and Melanie(owner) called me back. She proceeded to defend Irene and basically made me feel she could care less. She had no understanding and kept making excuses. I have been a long time customer of this salon and will never return. If I were Melanie I would recommend some customer service 101 training and encourage Irene to take some hair cutting classes.

I haven’t had a hair cut in months and needed a complete new look. Diana Cruz took her time, listened to what I wanted and I came out loving my new look! I would recommend her services!

Very cool atmosphere, set in historic round rock, full menu of services. I’ve had my hair cut and extensions done as well as had my son’s haircut here. Love it!

I ran into Melanie out and about, she was clearly very passionate about cutting hair. And I was due, was getting a little shaggy. I tried to call and schedule an appointment, left a message during business hours. Never heard back but e-mailed and got an almost immediate response and confirmed appointment. Melanie was friendly and professional and gave a good haircut for a great price. Place had a good vibe, cool that it backed up to the bar next door. Definitely worth it if you need to get a little prettied up.

We took our daughter here for her Prom hair-do last week. Could not have been happier with the service. They were very patient with her while she decided on her cut and color. And I liked that I was able to drink a glass of wine while I waited!

I have had the same hair dresser for nearly 15 years. They are located near downtown Austin. I started going there when I worked downtown. Now I live in Leander & work in Round Rock. For me to go there it’s at least a 30 minute commute with no traffic… yet an hour or more with traffic. So in the last 2 years… I have been searching for someone close to home. I’ve tried a couple of places and haven’t been dis-satisfied. However, I LOVE Yandry!!! I have a unique cut… When others have cut my hair I typically have to go back for touch ups within a day or two. Not with Yandry at My Envy Salon. The atmosphere is what I call Old Austin… yet it’s downtown Round Rock. It’s very cool! They offer FREE beverages… coffee, soda, water, beer and wine. Melanie did my daughter’s prom«up do.» She looked amazing! The girls at My Envy Salon are fun!!! And they really do a great job… I’ve been a couple of times now. I will definitely be going back!

I really never review a place unless I’ve had a fantastic experience, mostly because I’m just a nice guy(what can I say). I really enjoyed my experience at My Envy. First off, I have been making my way out to Round Rock more often because of work so I don’t have time to be driving all over town to get a quality cut. I stopped in here at the recommendation of a friend, and the first thing I loved was the location. It’s got this old town feel that’s pretty hip and genuine. The stylist took care to listen to what I wanted and was very professional, I felt like I was in great hands… and I’m pretty picky.

I went here for my prom makeup in May 2013, and the only good thing was the price. They were having a special for hair and makeup for $ 60, which was cheap compared to other salons. I arrived to my appointment on time, and I had to wait an hour. My patience was running low because I was on a time crunch to be at my prom on time. The lady who did my hair was VERY rough, and the whole time she complained that she needed to go smoke. I felt like she rushed through my hair so she could go smoke. The staff working at the time I was there lacked in customer service. I was so disappointed. My hair and makeup was nowhere near what I asked to look like for prom. Save yourself your time and money, stay away from Envy!!!

I moved to Austin awhile ago but occasionally visit Dallas and I’ll drop by this Salon place since a friend recommended it to me. It’s been probably around a year since my first visit but I’ve always received great haircut from Melanie so just thought I’ll share my experiences. My hair is thick and stiff so it’s not the easiest to style or cut. I usually give her a picture for reference and she usually does it exactly the way I want it to be done. She’s very attentive and listens. I think the key here is communication guys, let your stylist know exactly what you want and you shall receive.

They are a bit far from where I work and live but ever since I have made the switch to MY Envy, it’s difficult for me to go back to my old hair person! Here are my favorite parts: 1) Friendly and upbeat staff 2) They offer a free alcoholic(or non-alcoholic) drink 3) Reasonable price The only negative thing I would say about the salon is they are closed on Sunday which makes it a slight inconvenience for my schedule. Maybe they’ll change this in the future. Other than that, I’m a happy customer and will keep coming!

My friends know that I’m a Unilocal addict and will not go to places that are 3.5 stars and below, so I was very skeptical when a friend suggested I get a hair cut from My Envy Salon. Granted, they did have a lot of positive reviews in the«not recommended» section and it was a little weird to see mostly negative reviews from three years ago. But I really needed a haircut ASAP so I figured I’d give them a shot and help out a small business at the same time. First impression: Very Texan and felt like home in downtown Round Rock. The antique furniture makes it look unique, the space is very wide open with tall ceilings which is refreshing. Friendly staff and they even provide FREE wine/beer/soda…SCORE! So I had my haircut appointment with Melanie and the first thing I asked her was the negative Unilocal reviews. She said that it was mainly because of the old ownership and they had no control over it. Makes sense. Anyhow, I thought she was personable and professional, asking how I would like my hair. I like giving my hair stylist free reign and creativity on my spiky hair, with the only consideration to make my head look smaller than it is(I have a big fat head!). Melanie was careful yet efficient, making my hair look great in about 20 minutes. I would think that it takes new hairstylists several times before it’s perfect, but I would say Melanie did a great job for the first time! Overall, I was extremely happy with the experience, the price was very reasonable. I’m glad I did not follow my Unilocal instinct this time around or I would’ve missed out. Easily 5 stars!

I recently relocated my office to Round Rock about a mile down the road from this place. Recently decided to get my haircut after stopping by the coffee shop and these guys/gals were great! I used Melanie(one of the stylists) and for a guys cut I can say I was quite impressed because most stylists are not always barbers. They offered a wash and a cold drink while I waited and my wait time(since I was a walk in) was only 10minutes! I told them I found their business and the coffee shop on Unilocal and they mentioned that they other reviews are from an old owner. Don’t hesitate to try them out!

I recently moved to Austin and have been looking for a salon. I saw a Living Social deal that I could not pass up. I went today to redeem it and had a great experience. I met both of the owners, Melanie was my stylist, and they were very sweet and professional. The salon had a great vibe to it and was very inviting. I would highly recommend Envy.

I really wanted to like Envy – it’s locally-owned, in a really great location, employees all seemed nice. But the manicure/pedicure I got there this weekend was just awful, all the way around, bad. My toe nails are too short, the French tip is uneven, my fingernails are uneven and cuticles are a mess. Beyond that, the chairs were so uncomfortable, I ended up squirming for the entire THREEAND A HALFHOURS it took for the mani/pedi. If some of that time was taken up by pamper treatment – soaking, massage, hot stones, oil, anything! – that would be one thing. But there were no frills on this one. Unfortunately, a lot of that time was spent on chit chat and correcting mistakes. The girl who did it was really cute and nice, but the job she did was not good. As for the salon, again it’s a really cool place, but billing itself as «high-end» is not terribly accurate – not when you’re offering me wine at 10 o’clock in the morning, «chocolates» in the form of mini Snickers and hair products you can find at Wal-Mart. There’s nothing wrong with that, but why try to be something you’re not. Anyway, kind of a bummer all the way around.

I moved to Austin back in Oct. and was having trouble finding a good hairstylist that could cut men’s hair. After looking near my work for places I could go to, I decided to try Envy Salon. The price for my men’s cut was more than I was used to paying, but I don’t get my hair cut that often and I was willing to pay more for a really good cut and experience. I read from the Envy Salon website that their stylist, Kayo, specialized in men’s cuts, so I decided to have her cut and style my hair. I went in months since my last cut(probably due to apathy from having both thinning hair and a receding hairline) and basically told her do whatever she wanted, «just make it look good.» She took her time using scissors for nearly the whole cut instead of cutting corners with the clippers, which was nice. Afterwords she shampooed and conditioned my hair, gave me a mini-scalp massage and then blow dried and styled me for the finish. It came out really great! There was lots of texture and it looked better(and fuller) than when my hair was longer. Also, Kayo is really nice to chat with during the hour long session and it’s her I think that makes the experience that much more enjoyable. The shampoo/conditioning/scalp massage also doubled as a really great stress reliever, and made getting through the rest of the work day that much easier. I’ve been going back ever since and have never been disappointed thus far. The salon itself is thoughtfully and eclectically decorated with good bones and character. And if you have to wait long/show up early for an appointment, you’re offered the occasional coffee/vino, though since I always set appointments I’ve never really had to wait. Would recommend.

Finally! A salon I really like in Texas! I’ve been here going on three years and haven’t settled on any place i want to keep coming back to until now. First of all Envy is a gorgeous space. Jay, the owner, has done so much with it! Its spacious and open and feels comfortable as soon as you go in. I don’t know how he did it, but Envy has an atmosphere that is both trendy AND friendly, a rare combination! I had to reschedule my appointment twice because of an unfortunate bout with bronchitis(I won, but it was close). Jay was so gracious about rescheduling me. He never made me feel badly for for changing my plans. When I was finally recovered enough to go in everyone was super friendly, offering me wine or a selection of other beverages, and my stylist Irene came out right away. I liked Irene right off the bat. She listened attentively as I explained what I wanted, then she repeated it back to me with a few small suggestions, so I knew she got it perfectly. Then she jumped right in and gave me a fantastic cut and color. I loved how it turned out! Irene was also super cool about the couple last minuet requests i gave her. I haven’t been this happy with my hair in a long time!!! The only bad part is now I want Irene to come over and style my hair every morning, I could never get it to look half as good as she did!
