Dr Bosquez is extremely thorough. And friendly! He listens to his patients and understands them. I highly recommend this place to any parent with athletes or anyone needing a ortho surgeon. I was extremely happy that we finally found one locally that cares and isn’t there to just take your money.

Avoid this place at all costs! If I could give this zero or negative stars, I would. That’s how bad this place is.
I cannot believe I trusted this staff for my knee surgery. Let me first state that I am pretty happy with Dr. Gillory himself. However, I will never, ever, go back again because of this entire office.
On my first visit, I got three different answers from people about having my x-​rays sent from another doctor. I called first, was told that they could simply request them from my previous doc. I go in for my first consult, no x-​rays. I am then told by the receptionist that I’ll have to pay $ 35 to have them sent over through the mail. I told them no one told me that when I called so she asked someone else. Another person says that I can drive over to my previous doc and get them myself. I protested this info and decided to just go in to my appointment and see what the doctor says. At this point, I wait 45 min. to be seen because, «Oops, we forgot to send your chart back». No apologies for any of the issues.
When I finally got back there and saw the MA first, he told me, «No problem, we can view your x-​rays online.»
I had my surgery, things went well. I started going to physical therapy. This brings me to today, which is when I was supposed to see my doctor for my month recheck. I drive 20 – 25 min. up to Round Rock and NO DOCTOR! The staff merely said, «Oh…Dr. Gillory will be out until next week. Someone called you, I think. They didn’t leave a message.» No one called me and I double checked my phone to be sure. No call. No voicemail. I told her this was very unprofessional and that it was difficult for me to get to my appointments AND have time-​sensitive paperwork to be filled out for my leave of absence at work. Now I run the risk of losing weeks of pay because my doctor is unavailable to fill out my paperwork.
NEVER ONCE DID ANY OF THIS TERRIBLE OFFICE STAFF APOLOGIZE TO ME! I can understand a screw up, I really can. And if you apologize and try to make it right, I’ll get over it. However, it is completely unacceptable to me that I paid thousands of dollars out of pocket for this surgery and then get treated like this. No apology? The receptionist just offered to set up a new appointment. That’s it. I called after walking out of there (and did not set an appointment, by the way… will likely have to find a new doc AGAIN) and left messages asking to speak with an office manager or someone in charge. No one has called me. I doubt they ever will.
PLEASE do not waste your time going here! Pay close attention to the other reviews. I really wish I had not just looked up my doctor’s name when doing research. I wish I’d looked up this center because I never would have come here if I had.

My Son was injured at School at the end of the day; our doctor wanted us to drive him to Dell Children’s Hospital, but we contacted Orthopaedic Associates of Central Texas, a local orthopedic group close to where we lived, and they told to bring my son in and they would get him worked in.
Both the scheduling department, and the staff were amazing in getting us taken care of right away, and they were all very kind and caring to my son. Dr. Valastro saw him within minutes of arriving, and really eased both mine and my son’s nerves. Dr. Valastro determined that my son had fractured his arm, and had him in his first and hopefully last cast right away. He was very kind and patient with my son.
When I received my bill, and needed to call to make arrangements to pay, the young lady that took care of my questions was very helpful, and awesome to work with.
I would highly recommend Dr. Valastro, and Orthopaedic Associates to anyone who has a child with a broken bone, our experience was very good.

I only saw my doctor Mark Parella once over the last 8 weeks and that was the day of my surgery. Since then he showed little interest in my case. I still can’t straighten my leg, and my knee still hurts extremely badly whenever I try to put weight on it. All of which this doctor doesn’t seem to care, they just referred me to PT. I have never gone through such a life altering accident (broke Tibia and Fibula) with little or no follow up from a surgeon or practice. I wouldn’t recommend this practice to anyone, in fact I’m embarrassed that I’ve tolerated such indifference from a doctor/​practice. Please do your research especially if this is your first break. I was naïve and thought they would take care of me. They didn’t.

My experience with Dr. Brotzman as a doctor was excellant. But, I can’t say the say for his staff and my involvement with Orthodpedic Assoc of Central Texas. It would have been better if he remained with North Austin Sports Medicine, because he’s going to lose business with the bad attitudes of staff at Orthodpedic Assoc of Central Texas.
My son, had surgery with Dr. Brotzman. We owe a balance to Dr. Borick in Round Rock because he gave him a $ 500.00 knee braces that only costs around $ 150.00 and didn’t explain to my husband that insurance would not pick up. Since we didn’t decide to go with him for the surgery he got mad and wanted us to pay the entire amount for the knee brace. I offered to make payment arrangements when I went into the office of $ 50.00 but staff told me that they were not allowed to accept this. NOW, as of today at 3÷31÷2015; they will not allow my son to schedule an appointment to be seen by Dr. Brotzman for release until we pay the entire amount of $ 350 to the collection company. REALLY!!! We don’t owe Dr. Brotzman because we have paid him for all his work and every visit that we made to his office. So, how can they refuse to allow us to schedule an appointment with him.
My suggestion is to look else where until Dr. Brotzman become aware that the Orthodpedic Assoc of Central Texas is not the best place for him.

YOU WON’T SEE THE DOCTOR — I made an appointment to see Dr. Putney for a knee injury and after 30 min. in the waiting room and another 30 min. in the exam room I finally saw his P.A. Terry, who did a brief exam and ordered an X-​ray. Dr. Putney stopped by long enough tell me he was ordering an MRI and then he was gone. After the MRI, I specifically made an appointment to see Dr. Putney, and not his P.A., to get the results. I was once again visited by his P.A. Terry who walks in and tells me I have a torn ACL and we’re going to fit you for a brace. This P.A.s bedside manner was terrible! The way in which he communicated the diagnosis was rushed and lacked any sense of care or compassion. To make matters worse, when I asked about seeing Dr. Putney I was told that he was in surgery and wouldn’t be able to see me, despite seeing him in the hallway while I was in the exam room and at his desk as I walked out toward the waiting room. Upon leaving, I asked the receptionist if Dr. Putney was in surgery and she said, «No, he’s not. He should be available.»
IF YOU ENJOY BEING TREATED LIKE A NUMBER AND LIED TO THEN THIS IS THE CLINIC FOR YOU.

I really like Dr. DeLoach. When my back was screaming in agony, I was able to get in the next morning to see him. Scheduling an appointment with the doctor is easy and the ability to complete the paperwork in advance online is a huge plus. Dr. DeLoach is easy-​going and takes the time to listen to you. In my case, my issues seem to have eased up to the point where I (hopefully) won’t need to go back.
I also like the fact that the practice is multidisciplinary — orthopedists, physiatrists, and rheumatologists all in one group along with physical therapy.
They could work on their processing of referrals. (Initially, they couldn’t find my referral and the front desk staff almost refused to let me be seen by Dr. DeLoach.) Also, physical therapy appointments are hard to come by, even when referred by one of the practice’s physicians.

Phone system (?) and scheduling are terrible. Front desk girl is wonderful. My doctor seems OK. Support staff should get their act together. Phone tag involving 4 messages and even more times on hold or cut off is not acceptable for ANY business. It took a personal visit and a wonderful front desk girl to finally get a follow-​up appointment. Any other business would be gone and just a memory if they acted like this.

DEAR MEDICAL OFFICE RECEPTIONIST: I know you say the same thing many times every day to patients. But if u want me to understand what u need from me, talk to me kindly, use ur manners and say please and thank you. Look me in the eye. Slow down and don’t run thru ur spiel robotically and expect me to understand. And when I ask you to repeat what you said u might consider it was ur delivery of the info and not me, so repeat with our ur exasperation.

I would first like to state that I have never felt the need to log on and write a review on any service I have received. Good or bad. The visit to this Dr. office has just broken that cycle. Unfortunately, this 3 star rating is only due to the fact that the woman running the desk up front is by far, the rudest and most unprofessional employee I have ever seen in any doctor’s office. This is the Cedar Park office just FYI. Dr. Velastro and his practioners were quite thorough and very helpful when it came to our injury. Everything is healing beautifully and we feel happy with the care and results. We would definitely come back for future ailments if not for the complete disregard and disgust we received when we first walked through the doors for our appointment. Quite frankly, she seemed annoyed that we were even there and bothering her quiet time. She literally snorted and laughed out loud at some of my personal paperwork that I handed her. When I asked her what was so funny about my information, she wouldn’t even look up at me and said «something was on the radio.» Really? No eye contact whatsoever, and god forbid you ask a question. I have never in my life experienced such disregard for a patients time and health needs. Get rid of her folks! No telling how many patients you’re losing due to this rude and inconsiderate woman. What a shame. We won’t be back… and we’re athletes that I’m sure would bring future visits.

I’ll just say I had a not very good experience here. The doctor was very rude. Hey doc am I paying for the visit or is my insurance that I pay for? Yes I’m paying for a rude doctor that didn’t listen !!! I have a bad shoulder which I’m sure is going to need surgery which is gonna cost about $ 60,000 at least that what my son cost. I had rather go with a bad shoulder rest of my life than let these guys make one more dollar of me or my family! Remember your the customer you have choices. My recommendation is go somewhere else !!

I was able to fill out forms online so when I got there I was shown to the back immediately.
I did not wait long for the nurse practitioner to come in to evaluate my knee. He told me what he thought the problem was and said the dr would probably request a MRI. He pulled up some xrays to show me exactly what he was talking about. He also gave me tips for taking the prescribed medicine and to go ahead and schedule my follow up appt on my way out.
The doctor confirmed all that I was told. I have a MRI scheduled in 2 days and my follow up scheduled for Friday to review the results. So far so good with these guys. Even though I spent more time with the nurse practitioner than the doctor, I still feel comfortable that I was evaluated properly.
I have had serious issues with orthopedists before, so I was a little leary. But they have been great so far.

Wish I had read Javier’s review before I wasted my time with these clowns.
IMPOSSIBLE to get through to make a simple follow-​up rehab appointment, and no one seems to know what they are doing or where I should call (I was given 3 different numbers…).
I have now invested over 30 minutes of my own time and still have no appointment. The cycle of beeps while on hold goes on.

I was a very active young man. I expected to have at least one injury in my life that might have needed surgery. It didn’t happen when I was younger, it may have happened this year, but I don’t know yet for sure because I went to Orthopaedic Assoc. of Round Rock.
I was volunteering as a soccer coach when I felt a twinge in my knee. It was unstable, it was swollen, it hurt like crazy at first. I’ve had things like this happen in the past and time eventually took care of them. I gave this one a week and while I was at my Primary physician’s office, I asked him if I should be referred to someone else, and he said that he knew of an orthopedist’s office that was close by that I could visit. I was referred to Dr. Velastro.
I have never met Dr. Velastro, so I can’t say anything about his services. This review pertains specifically to the staff and the level of care (and eventually the lack thereof) that I received from the staff at the office I visited which claims to have thirteen doctors.
I called and made an appointment with the office when I didn’t see an end to my pain. I can suffer a lot of pain, but this was going on for longer than an injury should that would heal itself. At the time of my visit, I wasn’t feeling a great deal of pain and I said so. I visited with a physician’s assistant who was a nice fellow who recommended that I give it another ten days to gauge whether or not it would heal due to a sprain or strain.
Ten days went by and my pain increased. I called to see someone and they said that I should have an MRI. I had to have a CT scan of my orbits to rule out any stray metal fragments from a past injury. I got my CT scan done and the results came back negative. Another week passed and I had my MRI. After a several days I called to see if I could get an appointment to see someone. There were no openings for a couple weeks. I asked if they could work me in because by this time I was in a lot of pain and I needed a follow-​up. I needed a plan of care, I needed something, I didn’t know, I am not the Doctor.
After leaving several messages to get an appointment and find out what my prognosis was, I received a call that went as follows:
«Hello Mr D., I have your results. Before I give them to you I have to say that I can not give you any kind of advice as to what you should do with this information.
You have a large radial tear…»
Well, that is pretty convenient that you have a disclaimer all planned out before you call… I can’t expect that my demeanor was all that great considering the pain I was in, but aren’t medical professionals supposed to understand this?
All I wanted was for someone to make a little time to give me something for the pain and give me some hope as to recovery; what I got was transferred over and over again to someone’s expired voice mail that mentions a patient care coordinator that doesn’t exist anymore… no kidding.
So I went to get a pair of crutches. Several more days passed. I had been calling to get an appointment the entire time. Still nothing. When I did get an appointment, it was a week away and that was far too long to wait for the amount of pain that I’m still experiencing to this day. I wanted to get in before Thanksgiving which came and went. Prior to this I was offered an appointment on the 28^th because I thought surely out of thirteen doctors and however many Physicians assistants they could find something if they had tried. They didn’t find anything, did they even try? I can’t know, I only know the result: nothing.
First thing Monday I decided to call and find out if I could get an appointment. It’s been almost 20 days since I had the MRI. I was informed that they didn’t have an appointment for another week. I said that was unacceptable and that I had been trying to get in for two and a half weeks already, I asked that they make my records ready. They transferred me to the records department. When records called me back, I asked if I could speak with her frankly, she asked what I needed and I told her my story. She asked if I wanted to speak with the administrator. I thought this might be my chance to get something accomplished.
I left a message on her voice mail at 10:00am. She called me and I asked her what she could do. She asked if she could schedule an appointment, to which I said I wasn’t sure. I wasn’t sure because after all, should I trust my care to an office who wouldn’t try any harder than they had for me thusfar? Another day went by. It was 4:30 Wednesday that she called and asked what she could do for me after I had to call and leave another message. The onus was on her. She gave me excuses, and said that there was nothing else she could do. She could get my records ready, surely she could do that. We’ll see… I have an outstanding bill of $ 431.00 and no plan of care yet and an appointment with another Ortho who worked me in right away. They want my business, I’ll go there.
