I called them hoping to get an appointment to discuss a tax situation. The receptionist got back on the phone and said that the CPA suggested that i just call the IRS and talk to them. Then she proceeded to give me the 800‑1040 phone number. Sad!

Very nice people, but over promise, under deliver and way over charge.

These folks spent more time trying to do something, then completing the task. Billing was messy, at best. The development of a comprehensive accounting strategy, seems to evade their expertise. The last thing you want to feel, when dealing with any vendor, is ripped off. I went back and did my taxes, on my own, and for about 50.00 bucks (accounting software), I was able to accomplish, in about two hours, what they billed me for 15hrs. What a waste. I guess I should have read Unilocal first.

I was in a bind over a former business partner. They were understanding and able to help me out of a bad situation. Their ethical handling of my situation has helped me be put at ease and stay out of the IRS crosshairs! Thank you and I highly recommend using their services.

I took my LOI due diligence and ask John to send an email.
All he did was sending one page an email on summary of my first 55min discussion.
after a couple of short emails, then they sent me 5.25 hrs for $ 630 (now $ 500 after I complaining)
Their inaccurate hours is for they are claiming that they saved me a lot of money but they didn’t do any extra work nor saved any money. He is (Ray) mentioning to me that collection agency and his attorney if I don’t pay

I used them for my 2014 taxes and was very unhappy with them. My stuff was very easy to file but I was in a rush due to family issues, buy they managed to have an extension filed. They did not even asked me for my child daycare expenses which would have made me pay less taxes. I have never owed so much money to the IRS in my life than in 2014 even though I was unemployed for part of the year!!! Oh and the IRS came back to me later asking me for more! NOT RECOMMENDED.

Ray CPA was recommended to our family through a neighbor.
We have 2 W-2’s, own a home, have a small child in daycare, and that’s about it. Granted, the person working on my returns said that my husband and I should file together.
At that time, I should have heeded his advice and done turbo tax on my own as i noramlly do — (shame on me…) i had filed an extension for 2013 bc I had some questions. I was told by the company’s saleman that it would likely cost 500 –700 for our returns. I thought that that was a ilttle much, but figured it would be well worth our money.
I get the filed statement and not only do we OWE the IRS ~$ 1500, i also owe the company $ 600!!! They tried to tell me that it took a senior CPA 5 hours and an assistant one hour to complete my taxes. They did not ask me ANY questions regarding deductions, etc…
A) if a senior CPA does what turbo tax does but charges 600 x more, then I am in the wrong business.
B)the company should probably look into some brighter senior CPAs.

After me complaining to everyone on this green earth, they finally lowered my bill to $ 250.00. BUT… they wont send me my oroginal documents until I send them a check.
They are going to be waiting for quite a while for that $ 250.00. I can always order new documents from the IRS.
Ray CPA completely took advantage of my trust. I am consider filing a grievance against their tax license.
