The Sage Closer

You know me, I was just out innocently making a multi-​billion dollar enterprise out of my little company: networking.
Networking events! Delicious dishes of smiles and handshakes lightly dusting a hearty bed of «what can you do for me?» Well Dave Manzer at The Sage Closer did it for me. With hands extended in 3 directions shaking, nodding, smiling, schmoozing, I heard the seraphim sweet sound tinkling in my ear from somewhere off to my left: «free press release». FREE press release? Well sure I was skeptical, I mean (leans in to camera) who gives a FREE press release? (shakes his head, looks out the window, eventually starts crying)
And so it began, Dave interviewed me for about an hour and a half. My field is what non-​technical people call «technical», and yet his first draft was shockingly accurate.

I mean, I went to school for five years for my engineering degree, and this guy… this guy is able to sum up my industry after an hour and a half? (stares at university degree in hand, takes childproof scissors out of pocket and makes a paper snowflake of it, cries more)
It gets worse, Dave recommended multiple avenues of publication, expertly explaining the ROI of each and informing us where he had a special «in». We chose a few and published.

So a couple days later my buddy posts to my facebook wall a clip from Google Finance showing the company that we partner with and provide training and development for, they’re a billion dollar company you know. Well Dave’s press release is sitting at the top of the related news right beside the stock ticker! I’m just… I’m just so rattled right now!
