This was my favorite place to get wings! I miss this place. This place is closed. I had a drafted review that has been waiting to be published. I figure I might as well publish it and ask fellow Unilocalers if you have found a good replacement for Country Chicken. Please share if you have found a good place for wings :) – My review of Country Chicken: Their wings are crispy and full of flavor. Even when covered in sauce, its still crispy. They give you big legs too! Crazy hot is extremely spicy but delicious. I love spice but can’t eat too spicy so I get both crazy and regular to balance it out. My favorite flavor here is garlic soy sauce. It’s sweet and crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. The staff is super friendly, too. You can sit outside in the patio or inside near the gameroom and the staff will deliver the food to where you’re sitting.

I must say the chicken wasn’t fantastic but I survived. Is this place suppose to replaced Kyochon I asked? Anyways I’ve tried this double fried chicken in NY before and wasn’t amazed but since we placed some orders next door at the No 1 Noodle House I figured I’d have a second look at these chickens. For 20 wings it set me back $ 16.99 which I thought was kinda expensive. I ordered the garlic and the hot and they were pretty good sized wings and people in my party enjoyed them but for me it was okay. Nothing to wrote home about or rave to my neighbor.

Great Place! Great wings with a ton of different sauces. The customer service there is great along with the staff that work there. Me and my two cousins went there to order around 100 wings from this store. Never did we eat at this place and the first thing we hear as we step in is «MYFAVORITECUSTOMER!». We step into this place and the owner of the place tells us that we are his favorite customer. Very welcoming. The wings are kind of pricey but they are worth it. When we finally picked up the order we asked the owner to write the flavors on the boxes since we had 4 different flavors mixed into two boxes. When he started to write on the box, we all started laughing. The sauces we ordered was Sweet, Original, Hot, and Garlic. Instead of writing the flavors like that, he wrote it like this: SWISS(Sweet), ORINGS(Original), NOT(HOT), and my personal favorite, GARLICE(Garlic). Check the photos in the album of this Unilocal Page and you will find his hilarious spelling.

I’ve been to this plaza many times, but never noticed this place! So I was wandering around on Unilocal and found this place so I wanted to try it after hanging out by the claw machines. No one was there, but that just means faster service? What we got: Garlic Soy Sauce Combo w/Sweet Potato Fries($ 7): yum! The wings came out big and meaty unlike other places like BWW or something. The skin was crunchy and flavorful and everything was just perfect about it! The drumsticks on the other hand… were kind of small… but I get the wings and the bf gets the drumsticks so too bad for him! I wish it had more of a garlic-y taste, but still overall it was pretty tasty. The sweet potato fries were okay. Nothing super special about them, but for only 25 cents more you get that instead of regular fries so yay! Service: So I thought since no one was there everything would be fast… not so much. We had to wait 15 – 20 minutes for our food. It was pretty hot outside, but there was like only 1 chair so we ended up going next door to sit. The guy was friendly, but still… I wish my food would just come out faster so minus 1 star for no where to sit and my food not coming out fast enough!

FIVESTARSTOYOURFINGERLICKIN’ CHICKENNN! Y(^_^)Y I’ve only tried the spicy garlic chicken wings, because the other soy saucey flavor just seemed boring to me, but ahhh, once I tried the garlic chicken wings, it was like love at first bite, and I kept coming back for more. Probably another dozen or so times, no joke. This place + Jungle Tea Bar(or, uh, Tea Bar Jungle? Wuddevers, you call it what you want, I’ll call it what I want) was the whole reason I spent my time here at least once or twice every week, when I had the luxury of unemployment.(Thank you, crappy economy for providing me with the opportunity to bond with my spicy garlic chicken wings!) The wings were made fresh to perfection — crispy on the outside, hot and tender on the inside, with just the right amount of flavor — not too sweet, not too salty, not too bland. Super friendly service too! Too bad I probably spent all my lifelong savings on the chicken wings, so I had to get a full-time job… but with a full-time job, there is never time for my love at first bite anymore :(Now I know what they mean by work and relationships sometimes conflicting and creating problems :’(

You can never have too much chicken wings! After trying those delicious Garlic Chicken Wings from Country Chicken, I am so glad that KyoChon is no longer occupying this space, and I can have my fix for garlic fried chicken wings(8pc $ 5.99) whenever I feel like. Instead of those mini chicken wings, they actually have wings with meat on it! Fried to perfection, tender and juicy. The staff is super nice too. He came over to chit chat with me and my friends and brought us a sample of a new side dishes they are planning to add to the menu. NOTE: This is not a restaurant. It’s more like To-Go shop. I normally just buy my chicken wings and sit at the tables(indoor) by Tea Bar or the outdoor area in Yes Plaza while I munch on my juicy chicken wings.

Uhm, YUM?! How have I been in this plaza a thousand times and never tried Country Chicken?! I came here with the fam for No. 1 Noodle House and my brother wanted to try the wings. Nam and I are always intrigued by this place, but always get pulled back into our trusty noodle house, so I happily suggested the combo meal($ 6.99) which comes with 8 wings, fries and a drink. It was a good 15 minute wait before the meal arrived at our table. When the guy brought over the wings, I was happily surprised. They weren’t dinky little wings but gigantic and meaty! The guy was nice and hooked my brother up with two flavors(the combo usually only comes with one) and he chose the spicy and garlic. I only took a bite of the garlic wings, but they were SOGOOD! Perfectly crispy and juicy. It was reminiscent of my beloved Furaibo chicken wings. A little sweet, a little savory. It was perfection in a wing. My bro upgraded to the sweet potato fries for a mere 25cents more. So cheap compared to normal costs of upgrading. The fries were decent, but a bit small in portion. At least it came with a side of ranch. Glad they’re not stingy like Buffalo Wild Wings! I can’t wait to come back and have the whole combo to myself(and Nam: P)! What yummy in my tummy. There’s a good chance Country Chicken will get bumped up to 5 stars in my book if it satisfies as good as the first time!

I really like the owners there! they are super friendly and nice! It was KyoChon chicken before but now it’s called Country Chicken. The place looks little off, and not too appealing but the chickens are delicious! My friend and I decided to get the special combo, which come with 8 piece chicken wings(whichever flavor you choose: garlic soysause, orange, something and spicy hot sauce) salad or fries and a can soda for about 7 dollars. NOTBAD ! My friend wanted the salad, expecting it was green salad but it was actually cabbage salad DRENCHED in thousand island. we REALLY wanted to tell the guy that we changed our mind and wanted to fries but … that’s just rude. BUTDONOTGETTHESALAD!!! NONONO! so minus one. The food was delicious though! we weren’t really hungry so we though the combo special was perfect and it was! We got a drink at the tea bar next door. The owner brought out the food for us and gave us chopsticks. We might’ve looked real cheap because 3 people were trying to eat one combo, but we weren’t hungry! The owner recommended the garlic soysauce and it was yum! the garlic taste was a little strong so I wouldn’t recommend for first dates…(tic tiac every one!) The owner comes out and talks to you to check if everythings alright! they are SUPERFRIENDLY ! I’d recommend this place if you’re not too hungry, and you just want a light snack but if you’re hungry and you’re willing to eat a whole cow then, it may cost you a little more than you expect.

This space originally was a KyoChon outpost but for whatever reason the franchise owner decided to vacate the space so another person came in to fill the void. It’s pretty much the same thing just not branded. Korean Fried Chicken’s(KFC for short, not the Colonel though) premise is fresh not frozen chicken fried to order — that’s why the wait can be more than 15 min at times depending on the cut of chicken you order. there’s a variety of sauce flavors available but the standard ones are garlic soy sauce & spicy. an order of chicken comes with a shredded cabbage salad w. thousand island dressing and cubes of pickled radish. I give this place 5 stars not for just for the food but the owner & his employees. I first came here about maybe 9 mo ago w. a group after trying to decide where to eat & the last thing someone suggested was KFC, so we made our way here expecting KyoChon but instead saw Country Chicken… the new owner graciously welcomed us & gave a quick explanation as to how Country Chicken came about… I’ve been here multiple times — actually it’s my standard place to take someone new to KFC. Without fail the owner recognizes me & welcomes us warmly. He will periodically check to make sure that we’re enjoying our meal & to see if anything needs replenishing… at times he’s even given me some extra chicken to take home so the rest of my family can indulge. =)

The owner was friendly and always checked up on us to ask if everything was alright. The food was alright. I was looking at their flavors of wings but apparently they only had spicy and garlic. Nothing special. Spicy wasn’t that spicy and garlic was average. Also nothing special about the fries. And the drinks they had were only diet coke and sierra mist. And I heard that its down to just sierra mist now. Gotta step up your game. Until then i’ll drive to the other plaza where wingstop is. The fries at country chicken can’t even touch the fries at wingstop. lol

My friends and I split the garlic-soy sauce chicken wings. The price was pretty good. We got 8 chicken wings for about $ 6. And the wings weren’t puny. Those wings came out piping HOT! Like you can’t hold them with your bare fingers hot. It took while for the order to come out, because they are made after you order. The wings were crispy and well seasoned. Delicious! My friend went back because he wanted more and the guy said they were about to close. My friend was like«But it was soooo goooooood!» and then the guy was like«Alright, I’ll make more just for you.» Brownie points! :) Plenty of seating next door. The owner tries to find you, but sometimes he forgets your face, so if you see him wandering around with an order of chicken wings you think maybe for you, flag him down. Overall, good stuff. I want to come back and try the other flavors. Yum!

I love all things chicken – wings, livers, feet, whole chickens, half chickens, Hainan chicken, etc. I heard this place replaced Kyochon Chicken – same quality and quantity without the franchise. So I thought I’d give it a try. Service — Excellent — See below. Cleanliness — Excellent — very clean Price — $ 26.35(including tax) Seafood — N/A Meats — Chicken Vegetables — Salad Dessert — N/A Fruits — N/A Other —(1) Parking lot in Yes Food Court Plaza,(2) Health Board of Los Angeles gave it an «A»,(3) Accept Master and Visa credit cards What was ordered: Customer Service(Complimentary) — Excellent — The man was very nice and explained to me the options with the chicken. He suggested that I get half and half of wings and drums. Also, mentioned that Garlic Soy Sauce and Hot Sauce were the most popular flavors that people got. Watermelon(Complimentary) — Excellent — The order took approximately 12 minutes to be made – I was taking it to-go. As I was reading … I mean ogling the girls in the Japanese fashion magazines while I waited, the female Hispanic cook brought me a block of watermelon. I thought that was very nice. Plus, watermelon was perfect for this hot weather we have been having. The watermelon was perfectly juicy and hit the spot. Salad(Complimentary) — Excellent — Finely cut lettuce and purple cabbage dressed with Thousand Island dressing. The salad to dressing ratio is perfect – did not drench the salad. The lettuce and cabbage was fresh and crunchy too. So the salad was perfectly tasty and had a nice texture. (30) Mixed Chicken Wings & Drumsticks($ 23.99) — Good — I chose the Garlic Soy Sauce and Hot Sauce – 15 pieces of each flavor. The other flavors to choose from are Sweet Sauce and Orange Sauce. Note that you have different quantity and pricing packages. Let me just breakdown the flavors for you: Garlic Soy Sauce — Excellent — The flavor is definitely there – you can taste the garlic and sweetness. My guess is they do a combination of garlic and the Sweet Sauce. The chicken wing and drums are a good size – there is moist and flavorful chicken meat there. The skin is nice and thin as well – not battered up to look like huge wings and drums. Hot Sauce — Okay — First off, I am not very acclimated to spicy foods. So at first taste, you can taste the spiciness – gave me a little tingle. And that was it … no perspiration on the nose or forehead, no head throbbing, and no running to get milk. These«Hot Sauce» wings and drumsticks are like regular wings and drumsticks. You still get the moist and flavorful chicken meat like the Garlic Soy Sauce, but just lacking in the heat department. I am a huge fan of chicken so I would come back to Country Chicken again. The wings and drumsticks were flavorful, moist, and nice chicken meat quantity. I could not finish all 30 pieces of chicken so I left them with my friend and his lovely pregnant wife … and the stalking dog( ). Dogs love chicken too!

Kyochon was better for nonspicy chicken. The wait to get your food is ridiculous… like 15 – 20 for 2 pieces of chicken. Really?! We tried the spicy thighs and it was freaken spicy as heck. I think my tongue and lips were burning from just taste-test of the sauce. The size of these pieces were super big too but honestly. this is not my thing. My friends loved it because they love spicy food but. I’ll pass. however, I do love the area because there are a lot of shops around it and a big screen tv if you site outside. Cool place to hang. there are a bunch of other food places around… so try them out. play at the arcade and watch some tv.

So this is my favorite wings place in Southern California! Okay… that’s a bit dramatic, but their wings are truly delicious. The wings are plump, crispy, and flavorful! Awesome!!! I have nothing but positive things to say about the wings(and big chicken legs!). The hot and spicy sauce really is spicy… but delicious(it’s my favorite!). The owner is awesome… very friendly, generous, and inviting. One of the reasons I go back is because of the owner. Although there is no service, the owner will kindly bring the food out to you… and he even took pictures of me and my friends! Can’t wait to go back(often!)…

Spent a day hanging out in Rowland Heights and decided to go to Yes Plaza. My two friends and I stumbled upon Country Chicken by accident. We decided to try it out. The manager/owner is a very nice man, he was very helpful and friendly. He even gave us salad on the house! The chicken was good, though we ordered SPICY and it wasn’t as spicy – if at all. We spoke with the owner and I guess people previously did not like the chicken that spicy… but I mean it is SPICY chicken wings, isn’t that the point of it being THATSPICY? Anyway, that was not a big deal for us. We ordered the spicy and the garlic wings, and they both were good, except for the spicy part like I just mentioned earlier. We got two orders of french fries, they are equiv, to hot dog on a stick fries, if any of you have gotten fries there… lol. We sat outside since it was a nice day and it was a nice place to hang out and catch up with some good friends. Overall, it was a good choice in grabbing something quick to bite.

This place did not replace Kyochon, repeat did not replace Kyochon. Although it’s true Kyochon is no longer there, but this place is not the same even though they serve pretty much the same type of food. Wings and fries with different sauces. We got the soy garlic to try. The wings were bigger than Kyochon, but the flavor is just not the same. It’s good but not better. I guess this place has it’s own quality though. Bigger chicken and more sauce if you like that, also price is a bit lower than Kyochon as well. Nice and friendly staff, and the usual 15 minute wait while the chicken gets cooked.

I went to this place looking for my Kyochon chicken… what happened? No more Kyochon? It’s the same chicken as Kyochon but we are not Kyochon anymore because the franchise is too expensive… that’s what the owner said. He even offered us if we want to buy the franchise. No thanks… I just want to eat some chicken. Just like Kyochon, we waited a while to get our chicken. I ordered garlic soy sauce and hot sauce. They also had sweet sauce and orange sauce. The chicken was not bad at all but Kyochon was better. Not sure if I would go back there but the service was great. 3 stars! Country Chicken is almost yummylicious!

When this place first opened a couple of months ago, frankly, I was disappointed. Of course, they had big shoes to fill taking over Kyochon’s location. The first batch I tasted were bigger than Kyochon’s but overwhelmingly bland. But it only took them a couple of weeks to correct it, and now they serve up huge, intensely flavorful, juicy wings! On top of that they’re considerably cheaper than Kyochon’s tiny, dry, emaciated wings. So long, Kyochon… Country Chicken all the way, baby!
