Carne asada fajita was good but there was barely any meat. The beans were good and so was the guac but we found this metal washer in my wifes lengua taco. Overall it was okay but this rusted metal piece really killed it for us.

After seeing mixed reviews for this place, I decided to give it a try. It honestly has the worst mexican food I have ever had. There was absolutely zero flavor(unless extremely salty is a flavor). I tried the fish taco and the carne asada burrito, both were horrendous. It truly wasn’t even edible. I am surprised they are even still open.

It’s tough to beat a little hole in the wall spot like this to satisfy your Mexican comfort food cravings. It doesn’t look like much from the outside(or inside, for that matter) but these ladies can churn out the real deal authentic down home deliciousness just like your jefita used to. Their breakfast specials are a no-brainer at $ 4.99 and they are FILLING. None of this 8 – 10 dollar a plate rip off Mexican food nonsense. Homemade salsas, food cooked to order and nothing but the melodic tones of the Spanish language filling the air round out the cozy charm of El Frijolito.

Decided to check this out since it’s one of the few Mexican food spots in the area. Pretty empty but it was a bit after 1p. Got a carnitas burrito for 5.98 including tax and ate it there. The burrito was onions beans and carnitas. No rice which is a bit sad to me but that’s how some places do. The cashier gave me a knife and fork. It made sense as the burrito fell apart from the beans and meat juice. The carnitas itself weren’t that great. I got an edge part of the meat were you can taste some of the char. Felt just tough and not tasty. It was at least moist. I’ll probably try the place again and get carne asada. Not a place to go out of your way for though

This place has the best beans! When im cooking a meal for my family that would go great with beans and I don’t have any made. I drive down to the restaurant. Since it’s just down the street and pick up a large container. For about $ 7.00 its very convenient. We have ordered food here too. It’s good! My Son loves the wet burrito!

Ive lived about a block from this place for more than 15 years. I went in once… and Ill never ever go back. I don’t understand how it has remained open for so long. The food was terrible. Im so sorry for being so harsh, but with so much competition out there, it remains a mystery why this place is still open. The food seemed like it was from a can. It was watered down and tasteless. The cheese on the carne asada fries was definitely from a can and there were(maybe) 7 very tiny pieces of meat on top. Thats it… frozen fries, canned cheese and miniscule pieces of meat. Sadly to say I won’t ever stop by this place again.

Well the drinks are good(Aguas). The albondiga soup is tasty. They give you a good amount. Corn tortillas ate tasty! The tacos I did nit care for. They have a red sauce on a lot if there stuff and I don’t like it. It taste sweet! There salsa are okay. Taco Rosas is good! We have gone to the one on jamboree rd. In Tustin La Habra has a Mexican on birch street. On the corner. The name escapes me for some reason, but it is pretty good food. Tues nights half price on all tequilas! 3 tacos for 2 $.

Nothing special. They’re pricey and have weird store hours.

This used to be «Taco Pub» years ago. Some of the recipes remained and that’s is why I go back. As you know Mexican food comes in many varieties and styles and its about finding what you like at each Mexican restaurant. I go here specifically for the chili rellenos plate and wet burritos. They are very good.

First the PROS: the workers are always courteous very helpfully. The prices of the food is good. The selection of foods are great from tacos to burgers to salads. The food is always cooked properly and always clean. 1ONLYCON: the taste of the food is plain… actually tasteless! Believe it or not I do go often due to there are no mexican places to eat in Rowland and because I waste my time eating in other places and for some reason they are very salty! At least at the frijolito I add my salt.

Been eating here for years and I love this place. I have never had a bad meal here and I especially love the breakfasts! I will continue to enjoy this little spot and thank the haters for helping keep the crowds down!

I can’t believe I used to come to this place when I was new in Rowland Heights. Back then I knew of no Unilocal and I was still a noob with Mexican food… This place actually used to be A Taco Pub back then. Looking back now, I can’t believe I was able to tolerate this kind of Mexican food. Of all the food I ate there… I don’t think I can recommend anything. The tacos are just horrible, burritos are a little better, enchiladas are swimming in watery sauce. Oh I think they didn’t totally mess up the quesadillas, lol. Not sure if she’s still there, but the one girl working there seems to be handling everything by herself. She’s even studying for school while waiting for orders. She’s a sweet girl but I don’t think she’s a good cook…

The only thing I honestly like is their Tortas. everything else… I don’t feel it. They’re asada is low quality. This is my last resort if anything.

Since it’s the closest place to my house, it’s my go-to place for Mexican food. This place has my favorite bean and cheese burrito of any Mexican place I’ve tried. Get it! The lengua or al pastor burritos are solid as well. Their small tacos are also good and affordable. They have a free salsa bar in the corner. Recommend getting the regular salsa. No frills or gimmicks; just plain good. The orange one has this crazy delayed spice. Only recommend for those not faint of heart.

DONTEATHERE!!! Seriously, I don’t know how these women stay in business. The food is mediocre, and they are very STINGY! The tacos are $ 1.50 each, they come with a little bit of steak and just about NO cilantro and 5 pieces of onion. I thought maybe they messed up so I went and gave them one more shot and saw that they barely put cilantro and onion again. Unlike other Mexican restaurants, you can just get it from the salsa bar, so when I asked for extra cilantro and onion, they charged me .50 cents per taco and they barely put any on again. I WILLNEVER, EVER, EVERGOBACKHEREAGAIN!!! DONOTGOHERE!!!

I wanted to try this place today because I just realize there was such a close mexican restaurant near my house. So today I finally went and see how it was. The lady was pretty nice when she took my order when I asked her what she recommends and she said torta, burrito, and tacos. So I got a carne asada burrito and a carne asada taco. I went home to chow down on these two items and was deeply disappointed. The taco was plain… just the meat and some onions. The carne asada was not tender and so it wasn’t that enjoyable when I took a bite off the taco. The burrito was definitely different. I mean I don’t like beans… but if I really need to ill eat it. The thing is the whole burrito was all beans. and I’m kinda like whaa this isn’t a legit burrito. There were like carne asada here and there somewhere in the burrito and that was a pinch of onions somewhere in the middle. I think I would like it a lot more if there were more stuff inside… and possibly more onions and less beans. I guess the good thing about the burrito was that it was really hot(cause of the beans). The beans were pretty legit though.
