Taste is bad. Service was slow because a lady was watching some tv drama. Parking stinks in this spot. Dirty outside, dirty sidewalk, cigarette butts all over. Guys spitting in the front door. I recommend the pace down the street at Colima and Nogales next to Domino’s.

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and now about to have my own, my baby is making me crave this place 24⁄7! We have tried/recommend: Sul lung tang(my go-to dish) Yook-geh-jang Dduk bok gee Spicy seafood mixed plate Everything tastes home-made here. They offer only a few sides and they are all delicious. Service is also great. Tip: PARKING– most of the surrounding stores in the plaza reserve their closest spots for their own customers. Watch for signs. There are 2 spots in front of the restaurant, usually with cones blocking the spots. You can move the cones and park in the designated area.

New favorite Korean soup restaurant. Surprisingly their soup wasn’t oily. I had their herb chicken stew. It was perfect! The dumpling stew beef broth wasn’t too salty. Although, they might be pricer. It’s worth it because I’m a big fan of restaurant making delicious Food without putting too much oil. Pretty close to homemade.

Love the korean beef«hangover» soup. Just wanted to let you know that this place is NOT open on Sundays. I was suffering needing this delicious soup, and contrary to the restaurant hours posted on Unilocal,no miracle recovery soup here today. :(thus 4 stars vs 5

I’ve been to many sullungtang places and this was the worst. Extremely bland, nearly like I was drinking hot water with beef. Didn’t have the rich, bone flavor of a well-made sullungtang. Three stars cuz their radish kimchi was amazing.

This place is good if you want to have a quick sul lung tang. The kimchi is good, but the service is just ok. By the way, the air in this place is stuffy and smelly. I recommend take out.

Wow I’d give them a zero star if I could… I’m so speechless. Came here because I was craving their specialty soup but when we got here, they had 20 things on their menu instead of 5 like their other locations. I got their yook gae jang and that was so bland! I added sea salt to it but it still didn’t Tate right! I was so irritated! And so was my cousin. I’ll never come back.

When I have a cold, only one thing will do: samgyatang. The best samgyatang on earth is made by Mr. Handsome. That said, I have never had any made by ommahnim. Okay, okay. Maybe your mom’s is better, but I haven’t had hers, either. Therefore, Mr. Handsome’s is the measure for me of all samgyatang. We were all feeling a bit under the weather. Our little food critic in training wanted broth and I concurred. Since we were north of home, we stopped here for a little warm, liquid solace. This isn’t a fancy place. This is a sit down and get your grub on sort of place with minimal décor, perfunctory service, and decent banchan. I simply adore kimchi and have to agree with Frank S. This isn’t all that great. While I wasn’t here for the kimchi, it is a definite staple for me. On to the samgyatang, the star of my show. It showed up hot, steam wafting from the bowl and tickling my nose with promise. A whole Cornish game hen, stuffed with sticky rice and appropriate fixings, languidly bathed in the broth. Stuffy nose be damned! I’m digging in. I promise that I shall not wax poetic about Mr. Handsome’s culinary prowess. Suffice it to say that I have happily slurped and nibbled at many other bowls of samgyatang from other restaurants and can be entirely fair. That said, I liked the broth. I enjoyed the game hen. It was tasty. It wasn’t a soul-satisfying meal, however, so I must give it(and the kimchi) three stars. As for the cold, it’s nearly gone. Apparently Mr. Handsome needs to get to cooking!

It’s not the best korean restaurant in this area but if you’re craving bibi naeng myun(korean spicy cold noodles) like me, then this will have to suffice. After my favorite and arguably the best naeng myun place in hacienda/rowland area closed down a few years ago, I was on the hunt for a restaurant that will be my go to place on a summer day for some cold noodles. I finally found this place and it definitely hit the spot. It wasn’t AMAZING but it’s filing. Pros: –friendly service –craving satisfied –it’s cheap($ 5.99 specials for bibi naeng myun or regular naeng myun) Cons: –BanChan(small dishes) sucked –only one, yes, ONE piece of meat in the whole goddamn bowl.(my friend got naeng myun and only had 1 piece of meat and my bibi naeng myun only had a hidden piece of meat the size of my pinky at the bottom) .LIKEREALLY? –_–

Went here for their bibim nengmyun(mixed buckwheat noodle) and mul nengmyun(buckwheat noodle in cold broth) specials($ 5.99 each) today. The buckwheat is nice and elastic and cold. It’s refreshing and perfect for a hot afternoon. The sauce for the bibim nengmyun is tasty! It’s slightly spicy and sweet. It suits the texture of the buckwheat noodles, well. The mul nengmyun is also solid. It’s a refreshing dish. It’s not the best mul nengmyun I’ve had in a restaurant, but the place that does the best mul nengmyun is gone, now.

a friend of mine took me here today for dinner. their menu are pretty limited and we ended up ordering their soon tofu for $ 8.99 and dokpoki for $ 12.99. the tofu came with some beef and squid ring. it was okay, a bit watered down and i dont think ill think of this place when im craving for soon tofu. the dokpoki came with some korean noodle and fish cake. it taste average, the rice cake was a bit too thick and the sauce wasnt spicy enough. we didnt finish both our dokpoki and tofu because we werent hungry. this is what the leftover soon tofu( ) and dokpoki( ) looks like. as for the banchan, they didnt really have that many varieties, only basic stuffs like kimchi, potatoes in sweet sauce, seaweed, radish, and cabbage. i only like kimchi and seaweed. the rest was just mehh. the kimchi was fresh and we even buy it to go( ). i also enjoy their korean rice which is healthier than regular rice( ). its soft and chewy with some beans and barley inside. customer service was good and i would give 4 stars for the service. but the food was only 2.75 stars.

I got sick over the weekend and I came here a few days after since I needed some good soup. I tried the chicken ginseng soup, and I must say, I’m a very big fan of it. I was wolfing it down and I still couldn’t believe that they give you an entire small chicken for just one soup. I was half expecting a feel pieces of chicken meat. I don’t think you can go wrong with ordering this dish, and the fact that I was sick made it taste extra good because I was obviously craving something like that. The side dishes were aite, nothing too spectacular. I came during lunch time so it was a pretty good price for something I would have to pay at least 11 –12 for in norcal. Fyi, Pictures on this place do this place a big disservice lol.

Their sullungtang is not too bad. And compared to the other place on Colima and Fairway that specializes in sullungtang(Gungjung), this place gives you way more meat. It was nice for once to eat sullungtang around here and not worry about running out of meat; at that other place, I was often doing catch-and-release with the meat because I was afraid of finishing all my meat early! Their kimchi however was pretty subpar. Both kimchis didn’t taste fresh and were a little too fermented. That’s too bad because the kimchi accounts for maybe 30−40% of sullungtang enjoyment, IMO.

ORDERTHEIRSPECIALTY DONOT order their bibim naengmyun or naengmyun. You’ve been warned. This restaurant is not known for naengmyun. bibim naengmyun( ) comes with da daegi sauce(which is used for sullung tang) ON the noodles instead of gochu jang!!! For those who haven’t had this dish before, it’s like adding ketchup into your spaghetti instead of marinara. Sounds gross? Indeed it was! Even the owner doesn’t like their naengmyuns. this is why… you order. SULLUNGTANG( ). Just order their sullungtang w/beef only and dang myun(cellophane noodles). That’s the only way to go! mandu( ) this was actually yummy. kkakdugi( ) quality used to be so good, but now it’s meh. not a fan. kimchi( ) this was way too fermented. seaweed( ) i like this. :) haejang gook( ) was just okay. but i’m sure if you have a hangover, this will do anywhere you go. Note: Parking here is a total nightmare x 100. I have seen some people park in other plazas and cross the street. Park elsewhere at your own risk! Another thing: They are closed on Sundays!

I am very disappointed with my su lung tang from here. It was just plain meat su lung tang; no brisket, tripe, etc. Banchans were: napa kimchi, radish kimchi and saucy seaweed. Very cheap for $ 6.99 but I’d rather pay more $ for better quality. The broth had no depth. It was very bland even after I added salt, pepper, green onions and kimchi sauce. The worst su lung tang ever. The pepper shaker needed to be cleaned too because it was hard getting any pepper out of that thing. They have all kind of combo dishes but I am not coming back here. Credit card is accepted here. 1 star! Jang Mo Jip is not yummylicious!

My soup had tiny little piece of meat. I had to ask for more. Weirdos giving such a tiny piece. The soup was like water. I wont be back. I don’t even want to waste more time writing this. I will post the pictures so you can see yourself. I am so not kidding. Half a spoon of meat. I fished through the whole bowl an put it all on one spoon. BTW, nice toothbrush on the bathroom sink. Is this for cleaning or for me to brush? On a positive note. the people were totally nice!

Jayne L. brought me here for lunch one day with her hubby and it will be the last time I’d go back to eat. This is the type of restaurant for blue collar old ajusshi’s who can’t cook and doesn’t have anyone at home to cook for them. It’s a place where you’ll get full from eating but don’t expect any deep flavors or good tastes. I ordered their Hae Jang Gook and was shocked by how the veggies were hard and crunchy. The ones that I’m used to eating had deep flavors from the bone that was boiled for many hours and the veggies were very VERY soft. This one seemed like the bone was in the soup for«presentation» but they barely boiled with it. It was watery and flavorless. And what’s with the hard veggies??? I came here before they added new things on their menu. Then again, looks like Jayne didn’t enjoy their new item(Naengmyun). They carried more of the leg bone broth soups when I went. Any place that carries Sullung Tang should have good Hae Jang Gook. Those two are ALWAYS sold together no matter where you go! If you’re known for sullungtang, its just a given that your Hae Jang Gook tastes just as great! Same broth!!! Which tells me that the Sullung Tang that Jayne and her hubby ate were also nasty and flavorless. But they didn’t seem to mind their soup. We were all very hungry so I just forced myself to eat as much as I can. Like I said, it’s cheap and quick. Borderline fast food without the drive thru and plastic trays. However, I’d either make this at home and save my $ 8 or find another place that makes a decent leg bone soup. Another reason why Rowland Heights have the shittiest restaurants!
