Glad to know this store is open Jan 1. Needed a couple of items that were only available through them. Great store for those art projects and home decors.

This review is for the «5 Steps to a Great Cake» class led by a woman named Samantha Pompey (not sure if this is how you spell her name, but I made sure to get her name before leaving).
I am EXTREMELY disappointed by the customer service from this store, and by this specific employee. I showed up to the class, cake and icing prepared, only to find out that the class was canceled. An employee, I’m guessing the manager of the store, tells me that the instructor left early because «no one signed up.» Nice to know that I count as no one. There was another lady signed up for the class, and her name wasn’t even on the class registry. She had to go back to her house and get her receipt to prove that she had signed up for the class online.
I wouldn’t be so angry if Ms. Samantha Pompey had at least given a two day notice, or if there was an actual emergency which caused her to leave. The manager said that the instructor had tried to call multiple times and even left a message for me, but that is absolutely not an excuse (and the message I received was blank. Seriously?). I signed up online, so I know that the instructor had my e-​mail address, along with my phone number. If she noticed that no one was signing up, she should’ve canceled the class earlier.
I think that it is extremely inconsiderate to just leave a class when you can’t get in contact with the people that signed up. I left work early to take this course, and I stayed up the night before trying to get the cake and icing ready since I work for the majority of the day. I wasted an hour driving to Michael’s, then back home. It’s just really angering and frustrating that they best they can do for their mistake is a refund.
I also cannot believe that the manager just let the instructor leave because «no one signed up.» Really blows my mind. Horrible management; horrible service.

Make sure you have your cashier write on your receipt if original package is opened or torn. In the event of a return, you will get terrible customer service and they won’t believe you when you say you didn’t do it.

I really felt that my husband and I were treated rudely and inconvenienced by one of their employees, D.
I did receive an apology from the manager, Laura. That should be noted, at least.
But it wasn’t enough to make me want to stay and shop.

As soon as I step foot into a Michael’s store I feel like I’m in craft merchandise heaven. Goodies all over! I enjoy coming to this location just for the simple fact that their’s always plenty of parking and it seems as if it never gets too busy.
Love their deals. Every now and then I get emails with 40−50% coupons plus 20% off entire purchase. Score! (For those that shop at their locations often, make sure you subscribe to their newsletter, they always send good deals and coupons through email).

FYI on Sunday’s they close at 7pm!
The Unilocal page says 9pm on Sunday’s but that’s only during the holidays.

Seriously, the simplest thing ever is to update your information on your Unilocal page. Update your hours, what a waste of time traveling to your store to only see you guys close at 9.

I love coupons from Michaels!
Every month or so, there are amazing coupons for Michael’s. The ones I like are 40% off an item and 10% or 15% off entire purchase.
This location has been there for a long time and I am always dependent on them for my art supply needs.
I have done custom framing before and they were able to offer me a decent deal. The price is a bit high but the staff helped me out with a 50% custom framing coupon. I still end up paying $ 150 for the job.
The front desk can be a little more attentive. It was understaffed with 2 people at the register and 7 other customers waiting to checkout. It certainly did not help when a customer came in for returns that took up a register and she didn’t have a receipt.
Overall the place is organized and well categorized. I am familiar with the layout so I am able to find my stuff with ease. I would definitely come back.

Haven’t been here in ages, but I’m sure glad I stopped by here today. I was in the mood to do some oil-​on-​canvas painting and Michael’s had everything I needed to get started. What topped it off even more was the fact that there was a 40% off coupon today for any full-​priced item. It was an incredibly good deal and I purchased seven 12″ x 12″ canvas frames, six 12″ x 14″ canvas frames, six 60 mL oil paints (red, blue, green, yellow, black, white), a set of paint brushes (x15), Pink soap (to clean the brushes), and a plastic paint palette (which is actually really hard to clean if painting with oil) — all for under $ 60. I price-​checked on Amazon while I was in the store and it was a better deal here with the coupon.
Lastly, the staff was very friendly and helpful and I would recommend this location to get arts and craft supplies. Michael’s is a pretty good place to shop in general, if you’re planning on buying some expensive items I would recommend waiting for a coupon because then the savings are terrific.

I asked a worker to help me but she was busy so she sent out a message to everyone who is free to help me but no one showed up and she didn’t check back. I was waiting around for like 15 minutes. I literally was hunting for someone to help me. Some guy was helping me search for a very specific item that was on their site but I don’t think he even knew what it was. Some lady asked him for help and he just left me.

No one seemed like they wanted to be there, let alone help with my questions. Worst Michaels ever!

Pretty nice Michael’s. Very well organized and the few times I’ve been in here it’s been pretty clean. Customer service was great from lady who rang me up but on the floor was amazing. They just helped to get it over with. No interest at all. Overall pretty good Michaels.

I hate this location with a passion! There is one guy who has gray colored hair (he is young and did it on purpose, why? Who the hell knows!) and he is horrible! He acts like he has something better to do than his actual job. Bro, you work at Michael’s, suck it up and do your job. I was checking out one night close to closing and he literally says over the loud speaker, «we will be closing in 10 minutes, bring your stuff up and pay. I’m closing the registers.» I know it’s not exactly Disneyland but come on, you’re being paid to be there, don’t be such a jerk! I don’t understand how they can hire jerk after jerk! I work retail too, I understand, but you don’t have to be rude to your customers!!!

Nothing special about this Michael location. It’s about average size… and for whatever reason, I feel they are cheap with the AC here because the store usually feels hot! Anyways, this is my go-​to Michael store because of convenience. It’s literally down the street from me! However, it’s not the best Michael’s I have been to. This store is a bit more messy it seems like, and the selection is not always there. They do generally have what I’m looking for, but I the stuff I usually use is pretty basic.
The workers here are a hit or miss. Some are cranky and not very nice nor helpful… they won’t honor prices they post. It’s NOT my fault your workers did not go around taking down the expired signs… IF it’s still out on the item, then they need to honor that price. One of the cashiers one time, an older lady acted as if I was trying to cheat because the «sale» was over, yet the sign was still out. I thought that was very wrong… but didn’t want to make a scene or big deal as it wasn’t something I needed and just something I bought on a whim because it was cheap… That’s probably the only really bad experience I had…
It seems like the workers turn around rate is fast because I seem to always see different people working. Today when I went, I found lots of daisies I wanted for my EDC outfits this June… and at half off so I was thrilled! The problem was that there were so many cute ones that I had trouble deciding what I wanted!
I never bother with the clearance section at Michael’s because it is a terrible mess! I think they are trying to improve because I see more workers now around… asking if I need help, cleaning, and more cashiers to cut down on wait time.
Make sure you use coupons because some of the things are quite pricey… but generally speaking, prices are not too bad… but it does cost more then say Walmart. However, generally speaking, the quality is also better here. Take advantage of the 40% off coupon that’s sent out weekly can be found in ads or the app and it takes it off the most expensive item! You’ll find me here many times because I love to do crafts!

Didn’t find what I was looking for here. All their wedding stuff looks kind of cheap so it just didn’t agree with me. About 4 different employees passed by me and not one said hello or asked if I needed any help. They looked so unhappy. The cashier wasn’t the friendliest… even yelled at some customers just because she couldn’t really understand her. It was horrible. I walked out without purchasing what I needed. Blah!

The exterior of the store was the best I’ve seen from the 3 – 4 Michael’s I have been.
Looked for Christmas stuff in the Christmas section, did not find anything. Asked staff, and she pointed me to the Holiday section. There was a bigger variety than other stores. However, checkout was brutal. It took them 5 minutes and a long line to realize that the one lady needed backup.

I’ve been to many Michael’s stores and I don’t think this one even comes close to top 3. Maybe even top 5. The only upside to this place is that every other store is a little like a ghost town in the plaza so there’s always ample parking.
Staff always seems like they don’t want to be there and they try to help you, but I get the vibe that they don’t seem to care. The store itself is really big and they have a wide selection of crafts and items, but I feel like it can be a little disorganized as compared to other Michaels.
PS: Don’t forget the coupons!!!

This is a big store and they never give me trouble. The only problem with this one… is that it’s hard to find someone to help you. Very understaffed.
STUFF:
It’s a big store. I found a lot here that the store in Pasadena did not have. I found lots of sticks for my costume and more options for punch outs. This one IS a big store.
COUPONS:
They accent coupons off your phone too. WIN.
SERVICE:
Very little staff. One of the girls gave me attitude but I brushed it off.

Tons.

This place is good to find your crafts! Just make sure you use coupons! or else it’ll be overpriced.

I have been coming here for years. I like strolling on each aisle to get inspired, to get artistically stimulated, and to relax. Yes. Relax.
Today, we came to search for something specific. I am a scrapper. Period. Crafty and such, nope. For some reason today, not one employee was on the floor to ask for help. I had to circle twice around the store since the cashier was by herself and she was busy with the customers in line.
Anyway, I finally found someone. And she was somewhat helpful. I always like going here because they do have a lot of things I use on my personal projects. I was just disappointed today because of the lack of staff they have present when I came in. Oh well. I will still come back:)
