Firewheel has been bought and reopened as Backcountry Brewery(of Colorado). Great beer, needs a following to ramp up. Check it out.

Just too awesome but closed now :(loved the root beer and sodas there. My hubby loved the beer. A great place for families. I used the soda in my baking too. Made a difference! Such a real taste in their sodas. I was so sorry to see them go! :_(

I’ve never had a bad beer from this brewery. To top it off, it is local and right down the street. They have events and food trucks on most Thursdays. The back patio is amazing. The brewery is clean and comfortable. Everyone here is always very polite. I love the service and the atmosphere. Did I mention the beer is amazing?

This place was fun! I got to meet up with some friends that I hadn’t seen in a long time! We came on a Sunday afternoon. This was a place that my friends frequented. They were surprised that it was super busy! It was apparently their anniversary weekend. There’s indoor and outdoor seating. They have a bar area where you can sit at as well. I can’t remember the first beer I had but it was pretty tasty. The second I had was the A-Sake-Son as a recommendation from my friends. I had a taste of some really fruity IPAs. I absolutely do not drink IPAs but it was fruity and fairly tolerable. I wouldn’t be able to drink an entire glass but it was decent for my taste buds. It was a hot July Sunday but we got a decent spot outside, in the shade. There was an occasional breeze that came through that helped a bit. One that that impressed me was that the kiddos were allowed in and to join in on the fun. My friends brought their son and they make their own sodas there. I got to try a few and it was pretty tasty. I don’t remember the pricing but but was reasonable. The staff was super friendly and the vibe was great. Cool little brewery.

Unique flight tour you pick ‘em. You also pick the complimentary glass by style. They have a dog mascot loves to fetch. Also a tap house so you can purchase additional offerings either by glass or by flight. 2food dart boards, foosball, the usual Giant Jenga then there is the beer related merch. Tshirts, taps, cigars openers etc…

We went when this brewery had just started in a different location and really enjoyed it. Came back this weekend and the beer was great. HOWEVER, the owner seemed like a pompous ass. He «strongly warned» my daughter not to pull on the string for the hook game. I have no problem telling her that she is doing something wrong in your brewery that you worked hard to build but the way he said it to her was very abrasive. From that point, I watched her closely to make sure she was not pulling on the string. Then while he is cussing while doing the«tour» he sends someone else over to «check on us.» Totally awkward and felt like we were not welcome. Our daughter has been to breweries all around the country with us and have never had any problems.

As of today, the only brewery in Dallas that provides a real reason to visit. Music, people, and MANY special beers you can’t find anywhere else.

Nice place with great deals on flights. $ 12 for 48oz beers of your choice. $ 3 flight of 4 shots of beer. $ 7 flight of 4 sodas. The indoors is neat because they demonstrate the brewing process. Right beside it they have a beer wall where their drinks are on tap. They have an awesome selection. I enjoyed their newest release f-ing rye. A dark ale with a nice consistency that isn’t too hoppy. The beer garden is a tad lacking in terms of quality. It’s just some tables and large wire spools turned on their side with umbrellas. I understand it’s kinda on the low budget side but I do prefer a nicer area for when I drink a beer.(–1 star)

Great discovery based on Unilocal reviews. Enjoyed the Tour last weekend with Brad who explained the brewing process which was very informative. I enjoy the Beers especially the Texas Pale Ale and the Redneck Redemption. Also the Indian Street Food Truck when it is there makes some awesome food. Also enjoy connecting with people from different parts of the Country like myself who just happened to move to Texas for work. John is a great barman and is very helpful in explaining the different beers to my wife and me. Will continue coming back as a nice escape on the weekend.

Cool brewery. Did the 2pm Saturday tour, riding the dart in. Be careful if you have an Android phone as it will take you to the old location. Apple will take you to the new location, it really is an easy walk from the dart. The tour works different from others, it still $ 10, free glass and 4 samples. However before the tour, you fill a little card out and select the samples you want out of a choice of 8, and the type of glass you want. Then throughout the 30mins tour, they bring you your beer — pretty cool. We had the owner doing our tour, and he was a cool guy. We stayed after the tour and did a couple of flights, as they have a lot of different beers to try. About 30 or so on draft, they have various fruit flavoured ipas, as well as this basil flavoured beer, which I didn’t like. They also make soda too, which you can buy in growlers and take home. Their soda was good too. There’s also the owners dog, Amber chilling around the place.

Saturday afternoon at this place was time well spent. The Bulls IPA and the Honey Brew Brew amber were both very good. Nice people, too.

To my amazement, there is a brewery so close to where I grew up. I went with my friend on a Saturday afternoon and snagged the last two spots on the noon tour(got there around 11:40am). Made the(happy) mistake of purchasing a pint to sip on during the tour, as we tried 4 good helpings of different beers throughout the one hour tour. When you reserve a spot on the tour, you’re given a card and check off which souvenir glass you’d like, as well as choose 4 of 8 options of beers they offer on tap. I went with the Honey Brew Brew(AMAZING), the Rowlett Red(eh, pretty basic), the StrIPA(strawberry IPA, yummmmm), and a special release Nitro(get the pumpkin one; mine was a poor choice). The owner and founder Brad was clearly passionate about his brews and his volunteers/coworkers clearly believe in the beer too. It was a fun tour and a great atmosphere for a Saturday afternoon. We played cornhole and darts and ate some fine tacos offered inside. You must go! Try a flight of the fruity IPAs to say you’ve done it — the pomegranate IPA is by far the best of the bunch. Also get a Cool Beans as an ice cream float. Brilliant. Can’t wait to go back!

Great beer and a nice tap room with a foosball table and several comfy places to sit make for a fun environment. They also have great root beer and soda, so the kids and other non-beer drinkers can enjoy their time. Only downside is that there isn’t always a food truck on site when they’re open, so there are just a few snacks like pretzels or goldfish available. However, there are restaurants all around and they don’t mind you bringing food or even ordering delivery. The staff is very laid back and friendly, so it’s always a good time.
