Seriously why didn’t I know about this sooner?! Went with a group of 13 and of course we got the deal of $ 11/per person if it’s larger then a group of 10 I believe? Arrived at 3 and Kayaked till they closed at 5. I was on the double kayaks while you can get a single if you want. Life jackets are given and once you’re ready to go they’ll let you get in and push you out on your adventure! Before arriving I pictured a small area kinda like a small pond maybe haha but NO, you get to roam a pretty big portion of the lake. You can kayak as far out as you want, towards the highway even and that’s what we all did. It was so peaceful, so relaxing, and honestly so fun. A really great way to just get away from it all and be surrounded by nature I’ll definitely be back! ;)

We attended the 3 hour Nature/Into to Kayaking course. Just an FYI the extent of the nature side of it was our instructor pointing out what Poison Ivy was. There’s a 30 minute instructional period on land before hitting the water. We had 2 instructors, Dave and Anna, and they were fantastic. It’s well worth the time and money. They give you solid tips, tricks, and guidance for novice users. We ended 30 minutes early and got to spend the rest of the time swapping different kayaks to see what kind we liked the best. Well worth the money and time. I plan on taking the other 2 courses offered through them. We had a blast.

I used the stand-up paddle boards at Kayak Instruction as a part of a birthday party with a group of 6 girls. The paddle boards were very sturdy and comfortable, great for beginners. The staff was also very friendly, easy going, and easy to contact when I was trying to set everything up. This is also one of the cheaper places to do stand-up paddle boarding in the Dallas area. The location is good, with plenty of space to navigate around that portion of the lake, but with no interference from larger boats. I will definitely be going back for stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking.

Friendly staff, sturdy kayaks, and reasonable prices, but too bad the lake isn’t all that clean and the shore is full of rocks so keep your sandals on when getting on and off the kayaks because your feet will get cut. If you call in advance, they will have your kayak ready when you get there. P. S. Don’t use the physical address on the website. The one on Unilocal is correct.

Quick service, organized and efficient. The location of the Kayaks were good as well, you can explore both areas of Hubbard. There are some trees in the water but you can easily navigate around them, definitely a fun area to explore. Recommended.

My wife and I have been wanting to try more new things, so we bought a SweetJack voucher for a three-hour intro kayak tour with Kayak Instruction, Inc. It included all the gear and at $ 19 each, it was a pretty good deal. There were probably eight or so other people in our group(including an 10-year-old) and three staff members from Kayak Instruction. They seemed to be fairlyyyy organized, but the leader(a 17-year-old girl) was very, uh, awkward. Kept making pauses after not-so-funny jokes and explained things to us like we were in elementary school. We were ready to hit the water after about 30 – 45 minutes of explanations, but I honestly could have grasped all that information in 5 minutes. We tried a tandem kayak, which ended up not being very comfortable, but we still had fun. Our guide led us through some fairly calm waters in Lake Hubbard, then we gradually reached some choppier ones later in the«tour.» I say that in quotes, because it was called a «nature tour,» but the only tour part about it was when our guide said toward the end, «Did you guys observe the nature during your tour?» After we reached shore again, we had 30 to 45 minutes to try out different kayaks, which were much more comfortable. Anyway, they could make some improvements, but seem like a great place to go if you’re new to the sport. P. S. If you try them out, bring sunscreen and make sure you get it on your legs! Also bring a snack, water bottle and clothing you can get wet!
