I’ve always been very happy with this place. Of course, I’ve been a member for over 7 years so they have no need to try to sell me a membership, and it looks like most of the complaints are regarding the membership issue. I need deep tissue massages just to get relief, and have been super happy with Heather and Jeremy. The only issue I have is that they don’t work 24 – 7 and it’s hard to get in to see them! The only time I’ve not been happy is when I’ve tried a new therapist that supposedly does deep tissue. Sometimes it works out and the therapist is great; other times, not so great. Some of them say they can do deep tissue and they really don’t have the skills. I just remember the names of the therapist’s that I don’t like and make sure I don’t schedule with them again. I should also mention that I’ve had some facials here as well. I don’t remember the name of the employee who gave them to me, but she was super, super nice.

I was really skeptical going in. My darling husband bought me a very generous gift certificate for Christmas 2014 and I used it to buy the year membership. I figured this place would be way under average as I have had massages in resort spas and upscale places. I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are comfortable, music is very nice, and the therapists were all very good. I never saw the same therapist twice, I always scheduled my massages around my schedule rather than the therapists schedules so I was able to get a sample from all different kinds of styles. I have been happy with everyone I have met, I have never left unsatisfied. I would like to mention two therapists by name: Mohammed and Cynthia. Mohammed is wonderful and very knowledgeable on the musculoskeletal system, if you are an athlete and have athletics related injuries, GOSEETHISMAN! Cynthia gives the best massage, I was light headed when I left and had to sit in my car for a minute before I drove. I was really able to relax. Her touch was just light enough and had just enough pressure. She is VERYGOOD! If I was not moving in a week, I would book with her again. I give the massage therapists 5 stars as they were all great. I give Massage Envy 4 stars because I have a suggestion… Perhaps, in order to remind people who have bought memberships to come in and get their pre-paid massages, a courtesy reminder phone call is in order. I have heard a lot of negative feedback about Massage Envy because people get memberships and don’t book appointments so they are mad when the money comes out of their accounts. This was never a problem for me, I set a reminder in my phone to book the appointment, but maybe Massage Envy could be proactive and make reminder calls. You have enough staff, it can be done.

For my birthday, I decided to pamper myself and get my first massage. I hear great things about massages for relaxation, de-stressing, and how great it is for runners. Arrival: Everyone was courteous, no issues. I filled out some paperwork, and communicated my tense areas. There was a guy who may have been the owner there, who told me about some«bragging» points for this location as I was checking in. Massage: I met Danny, a therapist that was knowledgeable and a new massage school graduate. I have no issues with Danny, he knew exactly how to address the knots in my neck, back and shoulders. He told me about the techniques he was using as he went through them, which I liked. I was comfortable with his method and that he explained what and why he was doing what he was doing. Great pressure and time spent in trouble areas that I knew i had, and other troubled areas I didn’t realize I had. Room: My biggest issue was environment. Being this is my first time, I had no idea there was supposed to be a table warmer. I told my therapist I was cold, he said it was his first time in that room, and he had no idea that when he turned on the warmer, it wasn’t working. The AC Vent was blowing directly on to the table/me, so every spot on my body that was uncovered and getting massaged/kneaded was very cold to the point that I was tensing up, and the therapist Danny kept reminding me to relax. He agreed the temperature was colder than usual, left the room 2x to complain about it being cold, and brought me an extra blanket to accommodate. He even leaned over me to block the vent from blowing on me because I think it was obvious that the chilly air was working against us. I could not feel relaxed with that temperature. I even had to cover my face and nose with blankets. Danny apologized a million times for the AC and the table being cold. It was a new room for him, and both of us knew it was not ideal conditions. Leaving: I was glad to just get the introductory rate, $ 75/90min massage. I told the ladies at the front about the room being so cold, that Danny tried his best and I couldn’t fault him for the environmental conditions, especially since that was his first time in that room. I tipped him well. The worst part about paying and leaving, was that these ladies could not stop trying to sell me on a membership. I had to cut them off, and reiterate calmly and slowly: NO, I did not have a great experience(as I just finished explaining), I am cold and I hate feeling this cold, I just want to pay and go home to take a hot shower. I was clearly tense, and they were perhaps too young to know how to stop following their closing script to accommodate me. At this point I just wanted to leave instead of complain to a manager. This was a very un-happy birthday. Hi Morgan, my appt. was on 10⁄11 at 12:30.

I really enjoy coming here. Leanne and Lisa are great! With a busy schedule and very busy job, it helps to be pampered sometimes. I enrolled in the membership to remind me to come every month. I’m working on trying to make it every 2 weeks! I hope that can happy soon. Very clean and comfortable atmosphere, the staff are always friendly and helpful. I have gotten a facial too and will be doing the quarterly now!

My husband bought me a 1 ½ hr massage as a gift because he knows I’ve been stressed lately. I was excited about my appointment and the relaxation it would bring. The atmosphere is nice and quiet and the receptionist was friendly. They ask alot of questions and have you fill out paperwork but I really don’t think they pay attention to your needs or requests. I specifically told them that I did not want a deep tissue massage but I felt like thats what I got. Even during the session when I expressed discomfort, the technician continued to press deeply on very sore spots. I wish I had been more firm about how uncomfortable I was. After the session, I told both the technician and front desk that I was extremely dizzy and nauseated. They said that was normal and to drink lots of water. Then they spent the next 10 minutes trying to sell me a membership package. I finally told them I was really feeling sick and needed to get home. I continued to get more sore overnight and by midnight I couldn’t even turn my neck side to side. My back ached all over. The following day I called in sick to work because I was in so much pain. When I called that day to complain I was told to try Epsom salt and a warm bath. Then she recommended that I come back for a more relaxing massage after I got to feeling better. She said, «Dont worry, we will even charge you just the introductory price again». I thought, «Are you kidding me? The last thing I want is another massage at Massage Envy. I just wanted to call so that maybe in the future they will really listen to their clients needs. I am very disappointed:-(

HORRIBLESCAM!!! I went on a gift certificate and was talked into joining and signed a 6month contract and only went once in that time and after my contract was up I thought it was over. WRONG they kept billing me and I didn’t realize it for a few months so I called to complain and they said it auto renewed! I told them to cancel and I faxed the form and still kept getting billed for a few more months and again called and they say I had to come in to do it! I went in and filled out the papers to freeze it so I wouldn’t loose all the massages I per paid. My paperwork says froze until August but they say it’s frozen until April! I told them I want to just cancel and that say when they unfreeze it I will be billed again for the time it’s frozen!!! Wth!!! They do all they can to keep getting your money! Scammers! Crooks!!! The massages aren’t even great. I will never recommend this company and will blast their scam to everyone I know and keep posting and letting ppl know. I found numerous. Complaints all over web as well. It’s not just me!
