Placed an order online, took an hour to deliver it. Found out it was the wrong order after he drove away. They sent the correct order after that but it took over an hour to get. The second order had one of the containers of olive oil spoiled all over it. We waited 2 and a half hours to get our food and my wife’s ended up having olive oil spoiled all over it in the box. Edit: The management was quick to respond to this review in order to address the issues my family and I had last night. I’m glad to see the quick response and that they care about issues like this.

Came here twice and the pizza was great. Third time we went ahead and placed an order for delivery and was told it was be about 30 minutes. Called 50 minutes later to check and was told my pizza was ready and sitting on the counter, but the driver was busy and I could just come pick it up if I wanted it. We cancelled the order and got dinner somewhere else. Disappointed in their customer service.

Food taste heated up, wasn’t hot enough, too expensive. 3 meals 50 $ not friendly at all. Tea not sweet enough.

One of our favorite local spots! The fresh ingredients and creative dishes and pizzas always keep it interesting and original. We tend to order delivery from them 2 – 3 times a month. The price is always reasonable and the delivery is prompt. There are a few national chains in our area, but none of them ever compare in quality, freshness and taste.

This pizza is so good that I have to remind myself to not eat the whole pizza. It’s not like those pizzas that feel like they double in size once in your tummy.

We just had our first meal from Palio’s, and if the rest of their food is as tasty as this order we will definitely add it to our go-to list. We ordered delivery, as this is the only way I can get my restaurant food. Delivery is reasonably timed and very friendly. We ordered the Chicken Il Palio(Chicken, Mushrooms, Artichoke Hearts, & Alfredo Sauce) and it was absolutely delicious. They were very generous with the main ingredients. We also ordered Spaghetti with Meatballs, but it arrived with Meat Sauce instead. I didn’t complain because the sauce was fine. I’ll get the meatballs on my pizza next time. I love Gyros, so I had to order one of those to save for lunch later. Maybe because I didn’t eat it right away, the meat was a bit dried out and it seemed to be cut too thick, but it was tasty. I prefer more of the meat and a thinner slice, but that is a personal choice. We ordered the Apple Strudel Pizza and all of us were happy. There is plenty of flavor and they use fresh, thin apple slices on the pizza. Can’t beat that. Now, to the highlight of the meal. Don’t miss the Canoli, both chocolate and regular. They are addictive. The cream inside the shell is sweet, but not overly so. The shell is beautifully crisp and tastes great. My granddaughter bemoaned the fact that we only bought one of each flavor and had to divide them up between all of us. She wanted more, and will probably stop there for one on her way to work more than once in the future. The menu is quite extensive so I can’t say more until we’ve tried a bigger variety, especially the pizza, but I’m sure we’ll be doing that soon.

Been here a few times and the food is always super. We recommend the Italian sub sandwich, the chicken and cashew pizza, or the Alfredo if you want pasta. But all the food we’ve had here is really good. It’s a small place and that’s what adds to the appeal. It’s BYOB allowed, with a Tom Thumb nearby to add to your dining pleasure if desired.

So we came here at 8:10pm last week and were told that they were closing in 20 minutes… As far as I know, when you walk in a restaurant you are able to sit and enjoy your meal even though they may be closing. Not much to clean when its a table for two and a pizza tray. However the girls at Palios were too lazy to accept one more to add to their two tables. They are lucky I was hungry and ordered to go. I will however not recommend this place to anyone nor eat here again even though I was a frequent customer.

Their pizza was decent, but they said it would take 30 minutes for delivery and it took an hour. Mind you, this was on a Monday night, not a Saturday. When you’ve got a hungry 4-year-old waiting, 30 minutes seems like forever. I called at 45 minutes and they just said the driver was on the way. If you’re not in a hurry, give them a try.

With 20 minutes notice showed up with high school softball team on a tight schedule. Lunch was out ASAP and it was great! Fresh and flavorful… not greasy fast food pizza taste. Service was excellent!

We purchased a Groupon for Palio’s and ordered the gluten free classic pizza and meat lovers pizza which tasted great! A lot of flavor. The only issue that we had with ordering was they did not bring out gluten free and had to remake the pizza. The groupon cost $ 15 for $ 30 worth of food. I ordered carry out totaling $ 31.50. I was supposed to only pay 1.50 and they redeemed my voucher and I was told to pay $ 16.50. We did not realize it until later after it closed. My husband and I went to the restaurant twice and was told only the manager can correct the issue and the manager has never contacted us. This does not show a good impression for first time customers.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the pizza at this place. While I have only been one time(so far), the pizza that night was absolutely perfect! This place is «bring your own wine» but its right next to a grocery store with a very good selection. And for my kids, they have one of those Coca-cola machines with EVERY flavor which my kids LOVE!

This place is under new management, according to the giant banner out front. I’d never been before, but my overall impression is that it’s just all right. Nothing great. It’s a self serve restaurant, so you walk in and are immediately standing in line to order. Do yourself a favor and grab a menu before you get to the counter. The pizza selection seems large, but this time we just got pasta. Everything came out quickly Both the alfredo and the chicken il palio lacked flavor and the pasta noodles were a tad chewy. The manicotti comes out quickly, but it’s lukewarm and on a plate. Obviously not freshly baked. Everything comes with disgustingly chewy but strangely addictive cheese bread. There’s one of those huge Coke Freestyle machines, which is always a plus. The chocolate cannoli(!) is actually pretty good, but the middle was missing filling! The tiramisu is overpoweringly espresso-flavored. The ambiance is surprisingly elegant for a self serve restaurant. The classy jazz music is loud enough to cover up other diners’ conversation, but you don’t have to shout at your table mates. There is the low but constant background noise of receipts printing, pans rattling, and ringing phones that reminds you that this joint has a busy pizza delivery service. The pizza prices range from $ 9 to $ 18(small to extra large) and $ 9 for the pasta. Overall, it has potential, but the pasta quality is ultimately enough to keep me from coming back. Maybe give it a try for the pizza?

Don’t ask for delivery if you want something hot. Took over an hour and I live less than a mile away.

My wife and son are gluten intolerant so pizza joints are usually not our thing. However, they offer a GF crust! And, they absolutely love it! Thanks Palio’s for offering a menu for the GF community. Telling a GF9 year old we can actually go eat pizza in a restaurant is a pretty big deal. LOL

Coming from a novice culinary chef the food from this establishment is mediocre at best, the pizza is bland and lacking in substance for the price they are charging, the sides such as cheese bread(something a elementary child can make with ease) was tough and the cheesiness was lacking.. . I can make my own pizza, but if their is a good pizzeria around and its been a long day id like to be able to order some good pizza to hit the spot, and this place will never do that.. . Ever. Just moved into the rowlett neighborhood and I’m already missing my old towns go to pizzeria

Really good pizza. Not crappy chain pizza. Fairly prices and friendly.
