If I could afford to eat here every single day I would. The food is so fresh and tastes amazing! Is a nice family type environment and they make you feel very welcome. I enjoy the melon bubble tea and the crab rangoons! They deliver right to my door and it’s very quick other places in rowlett do not compare to how great this place is. If you haven’t tried this place yet you really should!

Great lunch at shiny wok today! The cashier was super friendly and helpful. She’s also great at handling multiple customers so I didn’t feel ignored or have to wait very long! Awesome! I asked for her recommendations and she said to try the sweet and sour chicken with steamed rice. And it was delicious! Served with a few cubes of bell pepper and pineapples. Everything was freshly made(so it did take 10 minutes to get our meal) and fantastic. We also had the fried chicken dumplings(came with a very interesting sauce, like hosin and soy sauce and chili flakes). Yum! Only less than stellar comment was that the steamed rice was a little dried out. They have a great selection of condiments, wooden chopsticks and forks. They have bottled and fountain soda. It seems they do a lot of take out, but there were unite a few people eating in as well. Overall delicious and we will define be back.

I absolutely love shiny wok. The people there are great and the food is superb. Its always fresh and the spring rolls are different than anywhere else I’ve been. I’ve tried several Asian restaurants in Rowlett and this is our favorite.

We LOVE this place! We have never had a bad experience. The food is fresh and tasty. Their honey chicken is the best in Rowlett according to my hubby. The staff is very friendly and will go above the average take out Chinese place.

My family eats here at least once a week. The food is the best in Rowlett. The food is fresh and you can tell they care about there customers. We ate there last week for lunch, I saw the chef/owner carrying fresh green onions and broccoli to the kitchen. That was a first at any restaurant. I knew the food was fresh when I ate it the first time but seeing the fresh vegetables myself was amazing. The front staff are friendly the second you walk in, and if you eat there they take great care of you. The owners are friendly I recommend the Shiny Wok to everyone.

This place has definitely been on the rise since my last review. The food is much better and the delivery is more consistent. And sometimes it’s the little things. Terrifically efficient heater next to the door in winter. Mood TV is nice but non-intrusive. Fountain drink machine replaces canned sodas. I would come near giving it 4 stars if it weren’t for the one-off occasion where they’re out of something odd. «We’re all out of dumplings(potstickers)» or «We can make Kung Pao but we’re out of peanuts»?? But these occasions are very, very rare and not enough to force them to lose my business(ahem…glancing at you Royal Buffet).

Great food! Always fresh and consistently good. My only complaint is if you place an order online you have to call and tell them you placed the order. If not, you’ll be waiting for your order for HOURS! And when I called to ask about my delivery she tried to lie and say it didn’t go through when I had the email confirmation to prove it. All she had to do was be honest and say they haven’t checked. I now just call my order in or go pick it up if I don’t feel like waiting.

I really like them but man… there is never a time when I don’t walk away from a meal feeling like I need to confess to my doctor how much grease I just consumed and how much salt I just ate. With that said, the service is consistently good, the food always tastes the same, and they do have the BEST wings in town. Crunchy. Salty. Fried. Absolutely nothing can go wrong… except for maybe hypertension. And high cholesterol. And while we are at it, let’s also throw in diabetes. Why not.

Can’t speak on the food yet since I’m sitting here waiting for my take out, but service seems inept. Walked in and waiting a good while before the clerk came out and noticed me. Just saw another customer experience the same thing. They need a bell or have the cashier pay more attention. Will edit when I eat, but at best this is 3 stars based on service and a generous assumption of the food. Oh, and boba tea is made from powders and some generic jugs of syrup from what I saw. FYI — Chinese fast food is not Chinese food to me. Its as authentic as taco bell is mexican — an american altered food genre.

Yeah I’m Asian and pretty much grew up on it. For the price I paid, didn’t get much chicken. Maybe like 5 small pieces and tons of sauce and liquid.(Ordered garlic chicken with steam rice) Boba wasn’t tasteful as well. It would probably be tasty for those who don’t know the taste of Asian food. My review might be irrelevant.

I have only tried delivery so far but it’s been excellent food so far. I tried the pan fried dumplings based on reviews and the reviews were spot on. I also have enjoyed the boba tea, honeydew is my favourite so far.

Food is good, were return customers but probably not again: Ordered through the website(which is live) and got a confirmation number. Waited patiently. Called after no food delivered over an hour later, they admit to having not received the order and that the website is working out the kinks. My husband goes up there to get our order(with printed confirmation in hand), which he has to wait for 20 more minutes to be prepared. It’s now taken 2 hours to get food from here. Though apologetic, they refused to comp the order. I’m normally not a «something for nothing» person, but in this case, would have been the appropriate thing to do.

Sorry to say that I probably won’t come here for the boba I raved about previously. The last 3 times I was here to get boba, the tapioca pearls were just terrible and the actual drinks were nothing to rave about anymore. And I hate to say that because I really hope their business doesn’t close down since they’re nice people. I’m sure the food is better but I’ve never tried it. Looks like I have to drive to Richardson again for boba :(

This place is pretty good! The fried chicken wings are the best thing I’ve had thus far. I found the portions to be a little smaller than most places I’ve ordered from. They come in the black-bottomed/clear top containers, as opposed to the white styrofoam containers, which hold much more food. The Sesame Chicken is pretty good. Flat Noodles and Fried Rice dishes are pretty good as well. I was disappointed with their Moo Shu though. I have two recommendations for this place: 1.don’t put your client on hold while you run their credit card payment. Run it after the call and call the client back if it declines. 2.don’t charge me .25 cents for a side of hot sauce/red chili oil. Factor that into the cost of the food and raise the prices if you have to. No one wants to feel nickel and dimed by a place… Oh, another thing I really like about this place is that every time you call the person on the other line is very friendly! Chan’s in Garland should take note of this. You get the exact opposite thing when you call Chan’s. Keep up the good work, fine tune a couple of things and we’ll keep ordering!

Truly the best we have had in Rowlett. And we have tried them all. Bye bye Rice Express. We brought home the Generals Chicken, Egg rolls, fried dumplings, Crab Rangoon and Spicy Chicken Wings. All was FANTASTIC and so fresh. Watch out for the mustard sauce. It’s the real deal and not in packets! We have a new place for Asian food.

Me and wife ate here for dinner yesterday and it was excellent. We got 3 egg rolls and they were good but they brought out homemade duck sauce and it was very good. It was mintier than duck sauce out of packet and had the consistency of applesauce. I really enjoyed it. I had the cashew chicken and my wife had the sweet and sour chicken. Both portions were large. The cashew chicken was great. You could tell it was made fresh and the sauce was different than most others I have had. The sweet and sour chicken was good it was not overly sweet like most you get and the chicken was tempura battered instead of breaded like most restaurants, which made it that much better. My wife and I agree that this is the best chinese food restaurant in Rowlett.

I will give this place another chance because I want them to succeed. Very nice place(former yogurt shop). When I asked what was on the chicken teriyaki the boy(son) said lettuce… then when I asked if there was more he said carrots and cabbage. Thinking he confused lettuce with cabbage I ordered it. Well I have never had chicken teriyaki served over soggy lettuce. until today. And there was no cabbage or carrots. The chicken was good and so was the rice. But confirm what’s in the dishes when you order. Beware of lettuce in cooked dishes! Gross. Also…there are more reviews for«Shiny Corner» that are really for this place. I want them to succeed so let’s help them! OH their menu says«No MSG» do you know how unusual that is?

Simple. Clean. Small. Nice staff. Attentive. I asked my husband to comment on the food but he was too busy eating and making yummy food sounds. Best Chinese in Rowlett. They are open on Mondays even tho it says on here they are not. They also deliver!
