4 stars IF you stick with the Hibachi/Teriyaki menu. Ingredients are fresh and seasoned well. Portions are generous. We order from here often.

So this place got a second chance. I went back based on the fact that maybe, just maybe Chinese fare wasn’t the primary mission of Tokyo grill. I ordered a chicken Yakisoba this time, and while the guy at the counter had no clue what I meant, he responded quickly when I said«can I get teriyaki noodles?» What I got: lo mein. It was still pretty good, white meat with a smattering of stereotypical«hibachi» veggies– zucchini, onions, mushrooms. Oh, and another tub of mayo«dipping sauce.» Pro: cheap«asian» cuisine in Roxboro. Con: If you have a concept of different Asian cuisines, you may be surprised, and perhaps disappointed, by what you get.

This place is a diamond in the rough. Located inside the mobile station this Japanese/Chinese takeout uses only fresh vegetables and meats and prepares the product daily. There is no buffet here. Each order is cooked the way you want it with the vegetables that you want. Being an over the road truck driver I have visited many Chinese restaurants/takeouts. Most of them have fallen into the dull bulk service and cheap goods to mass produce a product for the larger cities. This one by far is the best. The locals need to figure it out that they have it good here as far as Asian food goes.
