Neblung Karen Salon

Karen Neblung is a dream. I was really worried about getting my wedding hair done in the country as I’m a pain in the ass city girl. Luckily I came across a small blurb about Karen and took my chances. To my surprise Karen was a art school, punk rock, pixie fairy, hair dresser who took extra love and care to make my hair fabulous. She even was patient enough to do a completely different look the day of the wedding. She also travelled to the place my wedding party was staying and did all of our hair. I highly recommend Karen if you are looking for a unique or traditional wedding hair. Karen is so cool she even came to our welcome to the Catskills party with her husband! You are in good hands my friends!

Karen is truly amazing at what she does! She did my hair and a bridesmaid’s hair for my wedding day and truly got me all giddy with wedding bliss! Not only was she EXTREMELY accommodating (the town of Roxbury has no cell service and limited internet access when overloaded with tourists, she let me use her personal line to help me out!) but she is hilarious, talented, and quick! Just with a few exchanges of emails and pictures, she made my hair *perfect*. More importantly, my hair stayed in place through a whole night of dancing! Awesome! Thanks, Karen!

Yes! As Laura D. said, Karen really is the best. She did my wedding day hair, and it was *exactly* what I wanted! We didn’t even have a trial run, but we chatted a bit on the phone & sent some photos back-​and-​forth via email. My initial conversation with Karen instilled 100% confidence in her abilities & understanding of what I was after, and she did a truly beautiful job.
The trip to her studio was about 25 minutes from my wedding venue, but was actually the best possible way to start my day! My dad drove me out, and he hung out on her back porch while I had my appointment, enjoying the sunshine and chatting with her husband. Karen herself was so warm & welcoming — it was like having my hair done by a dear friend.
I can’t recommend her work enough, especially if you’re looking for a nice, natural style — Karen is genius.
