— Waited two hours for a poor quality meal — I ordered a simple ‘carbonara’ pasta dish to be delivered, as Pizza Talia was right around the corner from where I was staying. I was told that it would take 45 minutes to be delivered. It took 70 minutes for the delivery guy to arrive, who gave me the food and left quickly. When I sat down and opened my food, I discovered I had been given the wrong dish; instead of a carbonara, I was given a dish that was smothered in tomato. I’m usually not fussy, but I happen to have a tomato allergy, so there was no way I could eat the incorrect meal I was given. I called up the restaurant and explained that I had been given the wrong meal. The man on the phone insisted that I was wrong and proceeded to tell me that carbonara is made with a tomato sauce. I explained that the menu right in front of me clearly stated that it was an «alfredo sauce with bacon». After still insisting that I was wrong, I was put through to another staff member, who recognised the mistake and said they would deliver the correct meal. I was told the delivery of the correct order would take 20 minutes. The order arrived 58 minutes later, by which I had been waiting over two hours for my meal. The delivery guy said«sorry, we’re really busy tonight», but no refund or other form of apology was offered. The meal itself(when I finally ate it) was unremarkable. The pasta was okay, but it was flooded in cheese, which made the dish quite salty. The garlic bread was soggy, as if it had been microwaved. Overall the meal was certainly not worth waiting two hours for! I’d certainly recommend looking elsewhere for delivery.

Let me start off by saying the food was just ok, but it didn’t matter. The food could have been amazing and I would still give it 1 star. We called and asked for delivery and the man that took our order said 40 min. The restaurant was only a 5 min drive but our infant was sleeping so we couldn’t pick up. After an hour of waiting, I called to check and see what the hold up was. The person said«I’ll call the driver and check but he should be there any minute.» Another 20 min passed so I called again and asked him when the food would be here. He said the driver should be there in 2 min and just hung up on me. He never once apologized and the food showed up 15 min later(more than twice the quoted time)! I would never go here or order from here again.

Don’t bother ordering delivery from Pizzatalia.(And don’t bother with the macaroni and cheese, either!) We ordered delivery through Foodler the other night, mostly because we wanted frozen yogurt, but ordered a side of mac n’cheese and a cheeseburger(to round out our dinners of course). After waiting TWOHOURS, called the restaurant only to be dismissed by a rude man who said they didn’t have the order. I told him it was fine and I’ll just log back on and cancel it, because I already paid for it with a card– to which he replied, NONONO that I shouldn’t and that if I placed it, they definitely have it. But he said he was very busy and that he would have to call me back… Fifteen minutes later, the delivery man is at my door with a cold, soggy(soaking wet bun, that was still somehow stale in the center) cheeseburger, and two containers of MELTED frozen yogurt. All went right into the garbage. I didn’t even have the chance to adjust the 20% tip I gave through the foodler system, to account for the two hour delivery. The macaroni and cheese was awful. Cold, hard and consisting of a large aluminum tin of white penne pasta with melted cheese over it. Um… Thanks?

I ordered the spaghetti meatball parm and strawberry cheesecake. My order came fast and hot. The spaghetti turned out to be linguini, but I can live with it. The portion was HUGE, with a good number of meatballs. The dish was just average… not bad, but nothing spectacular. The cheesecake was a little frozen in the middle and just OK.

Pizzatailia is the best place for takeout. They have a large menu and everything has been great. My favorite is the eggplant parm. It is cooked to perfection and comes with garlic bread, Most things come with either garlic bread or pita bread. The spinach salad is also great. It comes with a ton of bacon. Great place!

They deliver frozen yogurt. Complete with mix-ins. You’re wondering why I am still typing, right? Fro-yo delivery is the end all be all baby, what more could you ask for? What more is there to say?! I’ll tell ya. The pizza is kinda crappy. The wraps and sandwiches are more bread than anything else. The veggies on said wraps and sandwiches are icky. Anything fried seems like is has been sitting under a heat lamp for a couple days. The good? The ziti is a’ight. Delivery is on time. Full circle: they deliver fro-yo. And it’s cheap. And everyone in your office will be a lot nicer after fro-yo delivery. Trust.

Avoid their regular crust pizza like the plague. it’s pre-fab crust that tastes like week-old mud.

A great go-to for delivery or pick-up after a long day or if you’re just feeling lazy =D Tried their salad and it was quite good all around, can’t complain about the fluffy pita bread either. Will order from them again!

Had two taco salads last night(admittedly not the best choice from a restaurant with«pizza» in the title), and they were beyond pathetic. A handful of out-of-the-bag tortilla chips, four jalapeño slices, half a cup of cheese, and at least a cup of black olives(…really?) on top of a bed of iceberg lettuce. To top it all off, the whole pile was soggy, cold, and clammy.(I didn’t know salads and cheese could be clammy.) They get two stars instead of one because the meat was cooked relatively well(my boyfriend’s steak tips were, my chicken was lackluster at best), even if it was cold. And clammy. Again, most certainly an ill-advised choice from a pizza place, but I was in serious, desperate taco salad mode. Don’t put it on the menu if you don’t know how to make it.

It is becoming a running joke with both my drinking buddies and my work buddies with how freaking often I order from this place. Literally everything I’ve ordered off the menu(and no i have no tried the crab rangoons… wtf??) has been delicious. Their margarita calzone is SO not something I would order(way too boring) except I was putting up with a vegetarian friend’s annoying diet, and it was Ah-maz-ing! Pesto city! The rest is history. My fiancé never eats his crust(I eat his), and he eats THIS crust(sad for me). You MUST order delivery from here if you live in the South End.

Great combo deals on their menu. Got two large subs and a huge order of fries delivered for 16 bucks! They messed up the condiments a bit which is why they only get 4 stars. Make sure you are clear and repeat tour order if it is at all custom. Absolutely going back to this place in the future.

Let’s just say I am picky when it comes to my cheese pizza. After moving to the Back Bay and realizing with horror that Bravo Pizza did not deliver in my area, I started mourning that 3 am cheezy pie/sunday hungover cure. Dunno why my roomates and I got so obsessed with their large cheese pizza but our orders might have paid for their summer vacation… Then I decided that the best way to get over this loss was to find my next new favorite cheese pizza. Going down the foodler list of places, we tried out Pizza Talia and they won me over– Huge pie, cheesy, crispy… perfect combination. RIP Bravo, you’ve finally been replaced!

Ordered delivery from here via . Took them about 50 min to deliver one calzone, but I was told the wait was 45 so they were good on time. I was concerned with paying $ 12 for a small calzone from a pizza joint, even a specialty one, but when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised. It was HUGEEEE, at least half of a really large 12in pizza? Big. And pretty tasty, with a side of marinara. Next time I have an obscenely large appetite and a craving for a calzone I know where to order from :)

I’ve only ordered delivery but it’s been consistently good. I can count on them to do large orders with no complaints(and they deliver them on time*bonus*) The chicken & broccoli alfredo calzone is my fav. They have the largest servings of frozen yogurt for the price. The only reason i can’t honestly give 5 stars is that I have never had an in-store experience.

Shaking off a multi-day drinking binge on my couch, my detox therapy of choice: –1 part ashtray full of half smoked joints –1 part watching Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas –1 part internet pornography –1 part pizza Find, Pizza Talia online in between looking up ‘detox’ and ‘big boobs’ and order a pie. Pie arrives in literally less than 30 minutes. Up your pie hole Dominoes, these guys got the time thing plus taste. Pie is good. Nice, crispy thin crust, plenty of garlic, good hot, better cold. Eat pizza pie, rinse, repeat.

My boyfriend and I were tooling around on Unilocal trying to find a good takeout place on a rainy day, and we stumbled upon one review that mentioned the website. While we were initally going to order from another place, Pizza Talia’s «wings & fries» special for $ 11 swayed us and soon we had requested that combo in addition to a cheese calzone with pesto. 30 minutes after ordering our food was delivered and DAMN was it alot for just under $ 25! The wings were crunchy and golden brown and after adding some Frank’s Red Hot to them they were to die for. Fries were fresh and crisp, and the calzone was barely touched because it was such a huge order for two. As another reviewer noted the calzones are good for two meals, and when I had the remnants of mine a day later it was quite delish. So, hit Pizza Talia instead of Emilio’s if you’re in the South End, they are inexpensive, fast, delectable and there have been no reports of homophobic workers there, so you can feel good about not supporting pizza slingin’ bigots.

LOVE this place for delivery. Try the Chicken Cordon Bleu Pizza… it’s got alfredo sauce instead of red sauce. genius!
