I went here today and got a gel manicure. Came home a couple of hours later and two of my nails have already peeled off. Not happy.

I know this area pretty well, and I’ve been a faithful customer at this place for years. Saturday I went because I wanted to change the color of my nails. I was waiting for 2 straight hours, and after I waited so long Just to change the color on 8 of my nails I was charged $ 11 because I wanted the matte coat(in my mind I’m thinking I’m just going to pay $ 5) because that’s how much it is for a color change. They have the worst customer service i’ve ever Experience at a nail place, and have no type of communication with their clients. If he would’ve tolded me from the beginning I had to pay 6 extra dollars for a matte coat I would’ve never gotten it period, matter of fact I would’ve never waited that damn long. It’s the third time they do this to me. They leave me waiting for hours just for a color change. I even had an argument with the owner because of this. People who got there after me were been seen before me. Really aggravating!!! Not only that in other occasion I wax my eyebrows there, BIGGESTREGRETOFMYLIFE. She almost left me with no Eyebrows. I recommend you ladies to go to gala nails right down the street instead. They do a better job with nails, and have a better customer service. And if your looking to do your eyebrows go across the street to the beauty salon called«El latino» they charge $ 10 to do your eyebrows but trust me is worth it.

I went her on a recommendation of a friend. I freaking love it. I got my nails done by Tom and he did such an amazing job. Since I moved back to Boston in May ive been getting one bad gel manicure after the next. This man knows what he is doing. I loved that when he filed my nails he held them facing him and did it. Usually they just file and it comes out lopside or uneven. He gave them the perfect square shape. He is such a nice man too. I have lots of likes. Its only 22 $, the place is big and spacious and there wasnt to much foreign language talk from the nail techs we all know how annoying that can be. Dislike: They filled the soap dispenser with water to conserve soap so when you wash your hand you barly get any soap. I recommended this place to my cousin and she got her nails done by a lady named Lisa and her nails look great too. I def say go here

I was very happy with the way my nails came out. The person doing my nails was nice and very fast. I came here because my regular salon was too full and there were only two people working. At Rainbow Nails, there’s many workers ready to assist you. The only reason why I didn’t give five stars was because the place could use some updating. The good thing is that the manicure tools are sterilized!

Walked in on a Sunday at 5:20 And were greeted right away. We were seated in the pedicure chair at 5:30. I did not like the wheel of color that was handed to me as soon as I told them we were getting pedicures and manicures. The chairs are about twenty years old and mine did not work, but the pedicure began and it was done well. We chose our colors and so far so good. Pedicure done at 6:00. Manicure also took 30 minutes, both look great! Open late and they take cards. They are open 9:30 — 8:00, which is great!

Pedicures at 20 $ and they are very nice, they are quick to fix any mess-ups when you are drying. The paint on my manicures lasted for 3 weeks, whoa! I decided to get a design which was 5 $ extra and she rushed through it, I don’t expect it to be perfect but I could’ve done a better job. They exfoliate and hot towel, and the place is cheap, so don’t expect 5 star quality. And ladies when it comes to your face don’t ever pick the cheap route, and stop waxing(makes your skin age faster, bad for your skin) it’s all about threading!

This place used to be ok but their best Nail Tech left. if you’re looking for Long Tips you can find him at Polish(right across the street from the Forest Hills T). He is the best and can do ALL kinds of designs! Definitely on top of his game.

After reading the reviews of this place, I decided to go to Gala Nails to get my eyebrows waxed. Since they didn’t have anyone available for waxing, I was forced to go to Rainbow Nails in the same situation as others– it was an emergency. The place was poorly lit and I couldn’t tell who was working and who was a customer. I was shown into the waxing room and asked to lay on the table with my back to the door. The woman who was waxing my eyebrows left the door open. With my eyes temporarily puffed closed from the waxing, people started coming into the room. I guess she kept the cash drawer in the back waxing room. OK, I get it for safety purposes, but three times someone walked in and she was making change with her gloved hands directly over my head and then touching my face again. Not to mention, I had no idea who was walking in the room– paranoid the entire time with my bag sitting across the room from me. She seemed to be meticulous about waxing, plucking, trimming… and for a moment I thought it would be OK after all. Then she showed me the mirror. My eyebrows are freakishly thin! She may as well have waxed the whole thing off! Won’t be going back there any time soon… eek! I guess the only good thing was the price– $ 8! You get what you pay for.

It was an emergency. I needed my brows done. Gala is my go to spot down the street for nails and UNfortunately they do not wax eyebrows… so I trusted Rainbow with my brows. BADBADBADBAD friggin idea. My brows, according to my boyfriend, are«nicely shaped». My boyfriend knows nothing about brows. He just knows that human beings have eyebrows on their faces. My eyebrows look SOOOOO unnatural that its ridiculous… like my face looks as if its stuck in a permanent expression. My mother saw me on skype during the holidays and the first thing she commented on was how unnatural my brows look. Its just that bad… and whats worst is I know its going to take«5eva» for them to grow back *sigh*. OH! AND! Lest we forget that the waxing station is absolutely filthy. The technician tried to use an old«eyebrow razor» on my face. I gave her a stare that would send chills down anyones spine. She promptly put the used razor back on the counter… Take my word never get your brows done in here.

I mainly go here to get my eyebrows & pedicures done maybe every 2-weeks or so. But this week, chiiiiild. The lady just wasnt herself lol. I’ve NEVER had a problem, I think because it was the holiday weekend & the good weather rush; that’s exactly what she was doing. RUSHING. Though my eyebrows arent overly terrible, I can still tell because she’s never did them like this before!!! $ 8, so I won’t complain. But I think this time I will wait until they FULLY grow back and start fresh. But that’s what I get for going on a Friday. My eyebrow days are Wed or Thurs. Man I tell ya, one day could cost your life; or better yet 1 eyebrow. $ 20 for pedicures & the last one I had was 2-weeks prior. The paint is just NOW starting to chip but my feet still are sandle-wearable. So I can’t complain too much there.
