The only downside to Cyclebar is that if you go even one time you will become 100% addicted, and you’ll have to pay to keep going back. No, it isn’t cheap. BUT, I think it’s worth it. I’m a believer. Every one of their instructors has something wonderful and unique to offer. The music is great, the bikes are amazing(yes please to easy to adjust gears and a monitor that keeps me working hard and at-pace with the class) and the ambience is the best around. I totally recommend Cyclebar.

Went to one of my first indoor cycling classes here at CycleBar Royal Oak. Lisa and Jimmy were fantastic. Once you spin at CycleBar, you’ll never want to go anywhere else!

I just took my first class with Lisa V. and it was amazing. It was really challenging but she also provided instructions on how to make adjustments — like if you’re not to spinning like me. Lisa was super sweet, funny, and motivational — just what you need when you’re trying to get yourself to work hard on a Sunday morning instead of going to brunch or sleeping in.

Cycle Bar is worth every penny. So far, I’ve taken classes with 4 different instructors and every one single one of them is different but equally amazing. I highly recommend taking classes here, you will not be disappointed.

Cycle bar is a top notch cycle studio located in the heart of downtown Royal Oak. They offer some of the best spinning/cycle classes I have ever taken and I’ve been spinning for about 8 years now. What I enjoy most is the diversity of their classes, they offer a nice variety that are different from your average class. My personal favorite is the strength class which combines cycling with upper body weight training, guaranteed to kick your butt! Their bikes are too notch and easy to use. The facilities are very clean and well taken care of. At the beginning of each class you are provided a towel so you never have to remember to bring your own. They even have hair ties and bobby pins ladies if you need those. The studio is well air conditioned so you don’t have to worry about overheating. I belong to a local gym which I love but the spin classes are unbearable due to lack of air and having fans blowing hot air around, but never an issue at Cycle Bar. Signing up is easy, you chose your classes online and sign up for the time slot you prefer. You can do the drop in price $ 18 which is pricey or you can get packages of classes-no monthly fees here. First class is always free and newbies can purchase a 3 ride package for $ 29 which is what I did. So here are just a few things that need improvement: parking, it sucks because you either need to park on the street and have to bring money for the meters or park in the church lot in the back and pray you don’t get towed. Help for newbies: I’ve been spinning for years but I imagine that not everyone who walks through the doors has and I’ve never seen an instructor check to make sure everyone is comfortable and knows how to align the bike properly so that I think can improve. Lastly, they have these huge tvs that rank you while you’re in class but no one cares about that! Maybe they could put some cool mountainous scenery or something of that nature instead.
