Went to this location last night. They seem to have a really hard time getting the order repeated correctly. Also we had to ask for a drink which was sweet tea and was behind the counter. The cup we were originally given have a game piece on it. The one we received with the tea did not. When we asked for the tea to be placed in the cup with the game piece the person who did so had an attitude and Spilled half of the drink on the counter.

Average quality for a McD’s With so many other and better options for food, this place is pretty much only good for grabbing a drink or quick snack. Is it just me, or does anyone else marvel at how this restaurant chain can stay in business nowadays?

What can I say? McDonald’s always disappoints. Every time I go there they mess up my food.

What a breath of fresh air! The employees are friendly, have manners and the service is fast! I’ve never had an issue with messed up orders either(knock on wood). You should send this locations manager to retrain all the fools at the location on Greenfield in Oak Park.

HOLYMOLY. This establishment is affordable and elegant. The chicken nuggets were prime. The fries were the bees knees. I am 420% I saw guy fieri here. Honestly he was probably doing a diners drive Ins and dives segment because this place is so great. THEKETCHUPISFREE. Free condiments = happiness. Some may say McDonald’s is unhealthy but honestly why do we care? Chicken nuggets bring me more joy than kale. This was my first experience with a McDonald’s and I could not be more pleased.

Resisting the spell of the golden arches is tough when it’s 6:00 p.m. and traffic down Woodward resembles something out of a zombie television show, as drivers show a despairing tendency to lose all reason when the light blinks green. You know it’s healthier to hit up the grocery store and make your own dinner, but it’s 105’F outside, your child is crying, and the idea of facing the stove can reduce even a Marine chef to tears. So you pull into McDonald’s to give in just this time. Take my word for it, veer off down Coolidge Highway to the one in Clawson. This venerable stalwart of fast food delivers quality on one premise of the concept: fast. Two lanes serving the public rarely fail to chug along. It’s the exhausted road zombies who cannot fathom how to zipper, and I have no idea how those teenagers at the register manage to keep all the orders straight. The secret’s out: they don’t. Oh, they tell you what you ordered correctly but the kitchen invariably jacks something up in the 5 meters between the payment window and the delivery window. How many times have I found myself with a sack of Big Macs when I ordered a double cheeseburger to split the evil? Straws go missing but I have thirty-five dipping sauces and not one chicken finger in sight, not that I ordered chicken or ever asked for a sauce. I swear sometimes they’re messing with me. Going back through the line is at least expedient, and the teens just process their errors with that stalwart laissez-faire only bankers, politicians, and 1%ers really have. Always check your bag before you drive off. Yes, you may annoy the 32 people behind you but you will save yourself another trip to correct an error. It’s common especially to have errors at peak times and often it’s a case of someone refusing to zipper properly getting ahead and swiping your precious cheeseburger while you get their wrapped monstrosity. If that were it, I might laugh. But half the time my fries are cold and my burger thrown together, making the simplest of tasks frustrating. Ferndale is as inconsistent but at least they give me the right food at the outset instead of a meal hurled together before the short-order cook released a zombie just shambled out of the fridge.

The employees at this mcdonalds location go out of their way to help customers. My girlfriends eight year old son was not into the menu, and told the cashier he wanted fried chicken. For a ten dollar tip they gladly made fried chicken and put it in a burger bun. He was extremely happy. I didnt even think they had fried chicken.

I only review fast food when I am really unhappy or pleased! I stop here for coffee and sometimes breakfast. This is the best McDonalds I have ever visited — clean, fast and friendly, and the food is hot and good to go! Seriously, best McD’s ever. Five stars for service alone.

This was a very nice McDonald’s. After a full day of shopping I was in dire need of a caffeine fix. This was the only near by and had access to a restroom. The bathroom was super clean which is always a plus. Coffee was pretty good as well. Def rec if you are in the area. Can’t comment on the food but the coffee was great!

This review is purely on the service. McDonald’s food is pretty much the same everywhere, as long as it’s hot. With that said, this is the most well-run fast food operation I have ever seen. Of course since it is in a high-traffic area, they can’t afford to have the drive-thru spilling into the street. Competitors should study how this place conducts its operations. If you order something normal on the menu, you’re going to be out of there in less than a minute. If you do have to wait, they’ll move you to the drive-thru parking and bring your food out to you. The workers have a great attitude, so I hope they’re getting rewarded. If you want McDonald’s this is the place to go.

A simple and fast review. The best McDonalds I’ve experienced. Fast, staff that has almost military precision(okay, that’s a stretch) and a drive thru system like air-traffic control. The food is also consistent. Is it really«good» food? That’s a question for the ages.

A well run and very consistent McDonalds location. Always clean and with plenty of order takers — so many that you feel odd standing there waiting for your food with 3 – 5 sets of eyes peering at you if there aren’t many other folks ordering. Perhaps I’m out of step but the prices seem to be higher than other locations. Although not as high as the Square Lake Rd. & Telegraph Rd. location where when I mentioned the prices, they actually said«yah, we have the highest prices of any McDonalds in the area.»(!?)

I haven’t been inside since the renovation(I’m pretty much a drivethrough-only kind of gal) but this McDonalds gets five stars from me! Having two lanes is definitely a help, but service is always ridiculously fast and very friendly. I agree with a previous reviewer who said this should be a «model» McDonalds for others in the area.

I gave this McDonalds a 5 star review in comparison to other McDonalds restaurants. This location was extremely clean, and the food came fast and about as fresh as I’ve ever had from a mcdonalds. Everyone behind the counter had smiles, and weren’t faking being nice. We actually had a quick conversation and held up the line. Whoops. They seem to rotate classic cars through a display portion of the restaurant. It’s a really cool touch. The only bad part was that someone was sweeping right next to us when we tried to eat. It wasn’t a big deal, but when you’re having a private conversation, it’s a little rude.

Shamrock Hall of Shame! Tonight I got a small Shamrock shake at 13& Rochester McDees for $ 1.99. Then Katie wanted one after band — so we hit the drive thru at Woodward &13 to be told they raised their price today to $ 2.85 for a small. The manager says it’s because they’re a franchise — perhaps the extra 85 cents can help pay off their renovation and for the pest control bill(there’s mouse traps under their booths). That’s the last shakedown I’ll ever put up with at that McDees. Hope the franchise owner appreciates the power of social media.

I like this location because it has a two lane drive-thru. You can zip through and be on your way in minutes. The service is also good and so is the food! My two new favorites: Angus snack wrap — a delightful burger wrapped in a flour tortilla and the McRib… I just love ground pork pressed into the shape of ribs covered in tangy bbq sauce. And McD’s has the best diet Coke(fountain pop) — hands down!

I agree with John X. The drive-thru is so fast that even while you’re getting out your money to pay, the previous car has already received their food and driven away. And when you get to the food window, they have your bag of food ready to hand to you — and it’s even folded closed all nice and pretty-like. So fast. So convenient. The only problem is, why do I eat at McDonald’s so much??? My new obsession is the Chicken McNuggets WITHOUT any sauce. Seriously. I mean, in the 1990s, the nuggets got really disgusting and almost every one had a nasty, hard, cartilage-y bit in it. YUCK! But a few years ago, they switched to the all-white meat nuggets, and, while there still is no actual«nugget» part of a chicken, McNuggets are now delicious!!! Royal Oak McDonald’s, you gave me my breakfast today, and I love you for it.

This is the best McDonald’s on the planet. Ultra-fast service, both inside and with the drive-through. They actually have two drive-through speakers and I’ve never waited more than 2 minutes for my food. The food is always predictable, never a disappointment. You want a Big Mac? — That’s what you’re gonna get at this McDonald’s. There are alot of foreigners who work at this McDonald’s, but they are always friendly and always working. Someone’s always mopping the floors, cleaning the parking lot or salting a fresh batch of fries. There’s never a dirty table or chair. The entire place is immaculate, including the bathrooms. This McDonald’s should be used as a training facility for other McDonald’s franchises. The Owners and/or Managers should be congratulated and emulated for making this place an oasis in a sea of fast food mediocrity. I am indeed«lovin’ it!»
