Prodigy

Before I say anything, I realize that this store isn’t particularly geared towards men, which is why I’m not giving it only one star as I’m not their target demographic.
I’ve heard some good things about this place, that they offer trendy, somewhat unique clothing, so I decided to check it out.
Only dress pants they had were a size 36, poly/​rayon blend for 70 bucks. The jeans were really loud and baggy, and the shirts were oversized (and overpriced). Everything looked really garish and cheap for the most part, so I was very disappointed.
I didn’t pay attention to whether or not the women’s clothing were any better because, quite frankly, I could care less, so you’d be best off looking for yourself if that’s what you’re looking for.

Every time my husband and I are in town we shop this store. We love it! Very hip, trendy, and cute with great service!

Right. I went in this store a few times to try things on… I’m a busty girl and clothes for busty women this is not. Their dresses look like a lot of fun, but I can never get them to fit right! If they fit in the chest, loose in the waist… Not a lot of sizes and a generally unpleasant staff NOT ready to help.
Look lady, just because I’m not a size 0, don’t give me attitude.

I’m going to give this store the benefit of the doubt. I walked in and was there for about 2 minutes. I browsed around and then to my surprise I wasn’t greeted and I didn’t even see any one. Then I noticed that the store was kind of dark. I thought maybe the person who opened the store was late and was in the back. I continued to look around. I did see some unique and workable pieces but that’s all I saw because I never came in contact with an employee; so I left

Prodigy is a really cool, slightly more expensive boutique in Royal Oak. If you are looking for clothes to dress up in, definitely check out the selection here. I saw a lot of really cool dresses and two-​piece outfits that I may come back for. The only problem is that they don’t have many sizes, so you pretty much have to be willing to buy on the spot if you find something hot. I really wish they had this one piece short set in my size :-(. As I mentioned before, the prices here are relatively more expensive. I would say along the same line as a Bebe or Arden B, where its super cute but maybe not worth $ 50 in the long-​run. Either way, you have to check it out as you walk up and down Main Street…
