Refined Resale

I recently took a vintage coat in there. It was sold in a week and they sent me a check. They are friendly and seem honest. I will go back.

This store has a bit of an odd clothing selection. The left is dedicated to furs, the middle has a showcase with some sweet luxe designer finds, and the right is full of some very questionable products, including bedazzled jeans. The owner, whom I chatted with for a while, is friendly and eccentric but while his fur selection may or not be spot on (I’m unfamiliar with furs, don’t buy them, so don’t know), his idea of what is popular or fashionable in other general clothing is not current. I didn’t find a single item I liked in the entire section on the right despite looking really, really hard. I did find a beautiful pair of JCs though, complete with dust bag, which were competitively priced compared to what you’d find online. He did have a Chanel dress and coat which were a very large size, and may be worth it for someone, but there could be more where that came from… I would return periodically to scope out high end items.

I find great designer pieces here on occassion, yes it is messy but you can get a bargain if you hunt, sometimes the prices are too high but depending on what you find, you may get it for less.

Ugh. The people in this store are chatty beyond belief, loud and in your face. Prices are ridiculous… maybe… you can’t really tell because the price on the tag may not be the price you could pay for it. They really want you to ask about each piece and they’ll throw a discount at you. It makes no sense. The layout of the store is crazy messy. They have nice furs but who knows what they cost.

This is a great place!!! The salepeople are very friendly and knowledgeable in everything from furs to belts. Whenever, I’m in the area I’ll stop by just to talk with the staff. The 1^st week of Aug-​12, they’re moving to a bigger place a few blocks away from were they use to be. I can’t wait!!!

I’m not really into resale, so I hope I’m being fair. First thing, it didn’t smell musty when I walked in. That’s a huge plus! Second thing, the owners are super, super nice. The man did his best to sell me a mink hat at a deep discount, but ALAS, I couldn’t make a decision. I have a real issue with killing animals for fashion. Anywho… if you are the kind (not judging) who likes to wear god’s creatures (just sayin’), this place has racks of furs. The prices seemed pretty expensive to me… but again, faux leopard is more my speed. On my way out, I spotted a super cute nubby/​tweedy jacket in tones of fushia/​pink on white. Very Chanel looking. Would’ve looked fab with jeans. Final price $ 14.00. I immediately called my sz. 4 friend to let her know. Anyway, a solid three based on the very pleasant owners and their solid salesman/​womanship.
