Sands Barber Stylists

I can picture this place next to Floyd’s barbershop on Andy Griffith. I’ve been coming here for well over 15 years and know the barbers and they know me. In fact, they know everyone and everything about them — their kids names, grades, vacations you have taken, jobs, and your favorite foods. Really great people.
I know there are SALONS all over Royal Oak and similar to Sands, they all have regulars. I guess I just feel more comfortable here.
Haircuts are 16 dollars and after a few times of coming in you won’t have to tell them what you are looking to have done. Just sit down and they will take care of you.

Went here for the first time. Very friendly staff. Jessie cut my hair, but it seems as if all of the stylists are more than capable. I was in and out within 30 mins, with a awesome cut. Prices are right, atmosphere is great, staff is friendly… I’ll be back for sure.

My son got his 1^st haircut there 10 yrs ago and only goes there.

Finally got around to writing a review for this place even though I’ve been coming here here for a year or so. I’m not sure what the other review on here is even talking about… every time I come here I’ve walked out more than pleased with my hair. Granted, my hair isn’t all that complicated, but the fact that they even make my buzz/​fade look good should tell you all you need to know.
The reason I really love this place though is the atmosphere. There’s all these new places around that claim to be «for guys». They have head massages, chicks in ridiculous outfits, etc., and I’ve never been a fan. To me, Sands is a guy’s barber shop. It’s always relaxed, everyone is super friendly, and the big flat screen on the wall is always tuned to whatever’s on ESPN. They remembered me after my first time there, and always greet me with a smile when I walk in the door.

OK, I’ll admit it. I should have learned my lesson the first time. And the second time. But the place is within walking distance of my apartment, and for the sake of expediency I returned there a third time. I mean c’mon, I’ve got pretty easy hair. They can’t screw it up a third time, right? Wrong. WRONG!
