Very satisfied customer! Steven Hewett, the owner, was very responsive and not only returned my call within the hour, but arrived the next day to perform an inspection. He encouraged me to accompany him on the inspection, he explained all his findings and potential next steps, and he gave me several options for resolving the problem. He came prepared, so he was able to plug some holes that had allowed animals to get under the house as well as set some traps on that initial visit. His follow-​up a week later was quick and thorough, and now, two weeks later, the problem is resolved — what a relief! Steven provides good, old-​fashioned service at a reasonable price and we couldn’t be more pleased to recommend him.

We have had persistent rodent problems since moving to our house in the woods over two years ago. I called another exterminator that charged me $ 110 a few weeks ago just to come out, and was going to charge another $ 300 to plug holes and set traps when he came back the next week (he didn’t). He went dark for weeks, then stood me up today after HE had called to set up the time two days ago, and didn’t answer his phone when I called to ask whether he was still coming. Steve Hewett called me within 10 minutes and was out at my house within the hour, as promised. He did a thorough inspection, identified and fixed the access points and set 6 traps I opted for for $ 300, all in the same afternoon. The service/​inspection call would have been $ 75, but he rolled it into the total charge. He’ll come back every other month for $ 85 to rebait the traps. I don’t have to do any more traps myself. Very satisfied.

Gave me an excellent quote and read back the directions I gave him after apologizing for having just pulled up to a job and inquiring whether I could wait a couple of hours to allow him to finish the job in Carmel Valley and come to Pacific Grove.
Very well met. Owner run/​operated. He and his truck were spotless. A true professional with 30+ years in the business, after listening to me he knew Exactly what type of insects were up to no good in my backyard. He educated me on their behavior and what I could expect from any stragglers for up to 2 weeks after their eradication and nest removal. To ensure our safety, he made it a point to conduct a thorough search for any additional nests in my backyard.
I felt fully safe with him personally and in his professional role. He was professional, warm and appropriate at all times. Arrived inside of 2 hours. Worked hard on a hot day for almost 3 hours, removing a 30+ pound hornet nest built into the ground in my backyard. The hornets were still angry ater biting/​stinging my dog, a friend, and leaving me with over 50 stings/​bites the night before. The angry feelings were mutual. I felt safe, overjoyed and relieved to see them go thanks to the excellent job done by Hewett Pest Control.
