I sent my Specialized carbon frameset in over a year ago to repair a damaged downtube. Edgar was very prompt in responding to my repair form request and promised me a two week turn around. I sent my frameset in and they were very prompt and courteous to let me know that they received it. They also requested the remainder of the total repair bill within days, so I was excited that it was done! Well, they never shipped me my frameset. Edgar kept giving me excuses and said it was on its way. Now he will not respond to my phone messages or e-mails anymore. I even left this review many months ago but he somehow had it removed. I’m posting this to protect the next person from not only losing their favorite bicycle frame, but your money too. I’m now out $ 400AND my frame. Isn’t that basically robbery?

I recently wrecked the aluminum drop out on my carbon fiber road bike(Kestrel Evoke SL). After weeks of searching and many dead ends, I finally found RR Velo. Edgar is a carbon fiber craftsman. He’s been working carbon for bikes for fifteen years(at Calfee among other places). I drove down to Watsonville to meet him(I’m in the Bay Area). I was impressed and decided to leave my bike with him. I picked it back up seven days later. He replaced the aluminum drop out with a similar one and reworked and repainted the carbon fiber on the seatstay and chainstay to accommodate the new dropout. Total cost $ 450. I road the bike up Mt Tam yesterday and Mt Diablo the day before. Perfect! Thank you, Edgar.
