This was the 1st outside PT place I tried — I tried to like them, really I did. It wasn’t happening. I waited for my 1st eval nearly an hour(post surgery & in pain) — waiting room packed — desk staff barely acknowledges you. Walked thru the crowded facility to a therapist office. evaluation went OK but he evaluates only. I nearly didn’t come back but thought i was being too hard. I was wrong. Came back and they put me with a young guy that could care less about my condition. He kept referencing the wrong knee… I even said to him once that the scar might help him remember… he didn’t monitor anything he asked me to do… he literally returned when the timer went off and took me to the next station or exercise. At the end he placed me on ice with the STEM unit but they reuse their pads! They try and weight them down so they don’t move. SERIOUSLY! There was not a spray bottle, cleaning solution or hand sanitizer around. I have to tell you — when you are not feeling well and trying to recover — it is helpful if the facility you go to is slightly engaged in your progress and care. They are not. They are more focused on school and sport physicals … and possibly sports and school related treatments. Anything requiring more acute or comprehensive care — stay away(or if you like a clean facility and staff that smile once in a while) Yeah, I didn’t go back.
