This place is amazing! My family is Cuban and we are always looking for great Latin cuisine. Don Ramon’s has been a favorite of ours for years but I think our visits there are going to become less frequent after discovering Casa Santiago. I felt like I was eating in my Abuela’s kitchen! The food is incredible and the Café con Leche is the best I’ve had outside of a Cuban home! If you haven’t tried this place, you need to!

My little time travel spot. I grew up in Hialeah.(agua, fango y factoria) and ever since I moved to West Palm(over 10yrs ago), I’ve never found a place quite like home, until I met Santiago. Casa Santiago is a little, Cuban whole in the wall. Do yourself a favor and NEVER look in the back kitchen area, if your squeamish. This place has to be appreciated for its Cuban charm. You’ll always hear the Cuban coffee maker going, streaming up piping hot milk for a café con leche that HAS to be eaten with a tostada for dunking. Casa Santiago is my «Cheers»; its the place where every body knows your name and they’re always glad you came. FYI: If you want to take a week off from cooking, get their cantina special. It’s $ 35 for a week’s worth of meals: white rice, black beans, plantains, tostones, pollo, palomilla, and picadillo. Ahhh tastes just like childhood!

4* food, 5*+ in value Great value for $. Absolutely pigged out, ordering sides etc in addition to my order and only spent $ 30. They got daily specials, mostly Cuban food but some Dominican and Colombian items made the menu too. Place was clean, had a good flow of customers, even offered a cantina service which would be nice if I lived closer.

Just moved to West Palm and I figured I’ll this place a try. Their prices on the menu were a lil high. Online menu shows a different price. Picked up the food they were very nice, but quality of the food disappointed me. Churrasco never ate one that wasn’t sizzle it looked as if it was boiled and the Breaded Steak no good flavor. Overall, food is what matters and it wasn’t worth my $ 30.

This little gem seems like just a hole in a wall. You would never think of walking in because it’s at the end of a broken down tiny plaza, next to a liquor store where you feel you might get robbed but we took a chance this morning and found our long lost Miami food! Since we moved up here three years ago I have yet to find a place that can deliver the Cuban food and not only is the food on point but the the atmosphere makes you feel at home. Not that it needs to be said(because I wouldn’t eat here if it was filthy) the place is clean and well kept. So I say take a chance …

Don’t judge the quality of the exterior to the quality of the food. This place has some very tasty dishes. We tried three different dishes, Bandeja paisa, breaded chicken and breaded steak. With each entrée, it came with beans, plantains, rice and Cuban bread. We also ordered some beef empanadas, they were really good, just a little too oily for my taste. Prices were average, but I felt like they gave enough for what you paid for. Also try the guava and cheese pastry — my little niece loved them. Glad I checked this place out, I will definitely be coming back!

Great Cuban, Dominican, Latin food. Family loves it. If you ever want to take a break from cooking for the week. Try the weekly Cantina. Great prices plenty of food.

Ok, so this is how good this place is… the chef at Don Ramon’s should come here to learn how to cook excellent Latin food. Off the chain! Not pretty to look at, a total hole in the wall but I don’t care. They were mopping the floor under our feet as we were eating. Never seen that before. If you love Latin food you must stop here.

First time at this place and I’ve lived here all my life. Hidden in the plaza right next to the liquor store. Authentic like you were on Calle Ocho in Little Havana. The empanadas are awesome! Also had a pan con chorizo with everything which was good. Washed it down with a Café con leche. The place certainly knows how to make solid Cuban food. Cubans go here so you know it’s good. I’m a Gringo. What do I know? «Buenos Dias!»

Forgot to write a review about this place. Been here several times. They are on the southwest side/back of their plaza so they are easy to miss from Okeechobee blvd if you don’t see the plaza sign. I’ve had the cuban sandwich here along with the pan con chorizo. The cuban did not impress me at all; pork was very dry and one of the less flavorful cuban sandwiches I’ve had. The chorizo was only marginally better. Went with a friend one time and he wasn’t wild about his meal either, though the portions were good. Service has been pleasant and good for me; I did on one occasion however watch a man and his son walk out after not being waited on. On the positive, they make a good batido de mamey and the prices are pretty inexpensive overall. There aren’t many cuban places in the western communities(realize this one is technically cuban/dominican), with most of them closer to West Palm proper. I’ll try them again at some point.

Most awesome Cuban sandwich! Stopped here the other day while I was in WPB. Great little hole in the wall type of family run place. Good food and good service. I will be back again on my next visit!

Authentic, friendly and not expensive. So many choices on the menu but I suggest you select the daily special list and definitely start with an empanada. They are clearly homemade to perfection with a crispy shell and a perfectly seasoned stuffing. Worth the drive.

We’ve gone to this Cuban restaurant every time we’re in the area, for the past five years. We love the quality of the food and the comfortable mom-and-pop local feel of the restaurant. We’re usually the only gringos in the place, however we’re always served with the same friendly and courteous service the locals receive. We LOVE this restaurant. They offer several daily specials, soups, sandwiches, pastries, café, and beer, all for a very reasonable price.

A nice quiet spot for great Cuban and Dominican food. I found this place through palm beach post’s website. A pity I live on the north side of palm beach county and it’s not very convenient to drop by more frequently… but I always stop here for a meal whenever I come down this way.

We drove past this little spot completely by accident one Saturday and I wrote the name down as someplace I wanted to try out. Today, we visited Casa Santiago for lunch on one of my almost 5 year old daughter and my «culinary adventures.» LOL ;) We were pleased. When you walk in, it’s very quaint(small, with only about maybe 20 tables) but everyone is friendly. We chose a clean table and took a seat. The waitress came over and took our order. Leah ordered black beans and rice. I decided to go out on a limb and try something I had never had before. I ordered Bandeja Paisa, which came with white rice, red beans, sweet plantains, grilled steak, fried pork skin or hispanic sausage, fried egg, and avocado. She didn’t ask if I wanted the sausage or the pork skin but that didn’t matter. It came with pork skin by default, which confused me a litlte since I had never had an entire strip before. I had no clue how to eat it but I figured it out and it was pretty tasty, though chewy(which is expected since it is, after all, fried pork skin). Anyway, my avocado was conspicuously missing but that was ok because I was so full by the time I finished. There was a homemade hot sauce on the table which I tried(and then poured on almost everything on my plate because it was so good). For dessert, I decided to order a pastel de queso. Yum. It was still warm when it got to the table and although my daughter was not a fan of cream cheese in a pastry, I am, and it was one of the best I’ve had. The prices are reasonable and the food is good. I’ll be back again.
