I was so so hopeful walking into this place! On a cold night, Thai Basil offered an adorably cozy atmosphere! Let’s start with the cons because I just want to get them out of the way. Firstly, the service. Though the waitresses were very nice, they were also very forgetful. I ordered Pad Woon Sen with tofu and it came out missing the tofu. My mother-in-law ordered spicy fried rice with extra tomatoes and it came out missing any, and all tomatoes. We also ordered Won Ton Soup but it never came. So, tonight was definitely a miss as far as the service goes! Another con was the price– it was a 58 $ and 70 $ with tip for three people to eat! We didn’t order anything out of the ordinary: three meals, two side salads and three drinks. The soup never came so again, that wasn’t included on the bill! Needless to say it was very pricey! Now for the pros. OMG the hot ginger tea! It was AMAZING!!! The food we all ate was really tasty too. The salad was very fresh and the ginger dressing was by far the best I have ever had! Unfortunately people come for the food, but they come back for the service. With so many Thai places around, I would most likely choose one with better service and better prices!!!

Highly recommend the Drunken Noodle with some ginger tea. Incredible flavors. Fried rice great too, Pad Thai just fine. Amy is the sweetest and treats you like family.

By far the worst pad siew I’ve ever tried. I read the reviews prior to going to this place and was excited about trying the food. The establishment is nice and quaint. The server was adorable and sweet. The menu was overpriced for the quality of food received. I’m not sure if we went on a bad day, but I would not recommend it for anything other than its sticky rice. That dessert was good.

We love this place! We started out with spring rolls, curry puffs and nam sod. I had the Panang Curry which is always amazing here. My husband had sweet chili chicken and my children shared a chicken drunken noodle. Every bit of it was fresh and delicious! LOVE this Thai food!

My daughter, who is a vegan, and I went to Thai Basil for dinner on a Tuesday night. It was a little dark and there was only one other party eating, so we were a bit unsure. I’m very glad that we decided to stay. My daughter had several questions and it took a few visits from the server to finally place an order. She was very patient and informative, including assuring my daughter that everything was made to order using organic ingredients. She settled on the massaman curry with tofu and I had the drunken noodles with chicken. After we ordered, the server brought out two bowls of soup. She assured my daughter that her soup was a vegetable broth while mine was chicken broth. The soup was delicious: light and flavorful. The entrees arrived shortly thereafter. They looked beautiful and the smells were incredible. I tasted my daughter’s curry and it was fantastic. It was not too thin and the flavors were spot on. My drunken noodles were delicious. The chicken, unlike some Thai restaurants, was juicy and tasted very fresh. The noodles were tender with a nice bite to them. The sauce was delicious, with a slight sweetness. I’m so glad that the server suggested this dish over the Pad Thai. I ate the whole plate. There are several very good Thai restaurants in the area, but Thai Basil stands above them all. Try it.

Wife and I decided to stay with basic dishes because this was our first time here. My wife decided on the shrimp fried rice and I got the chicken pad thai. Both were very good. We started with Thai ice teas and fried calamari. The calamari was different but very good. The thai iced teas were delicious. I had to stop myself from chugging one after the other. The best part of this place was the service. The server was very attentive and kept me hydrated. The manager was also very friendly. Will come again when I’m in palm beach.

Just thought I would update my review. This is still the real deal for great Thai food. We haven’t been by for some time because of traveling and ordered all our old favorites and some new dishes. We started with tom ga coconut soup still the best in town. Tried some new things edamanmi with fresh garlic this was a tasty light treat. My wife ordered the spicy squid salad very fresh and tasty. I had Penang seafood curry a nice large bowl of goodness everytime we come who is better than last time, if you want great Thai food this is the place

They have freshly prepared Thai food that is slightly different from other Thai joints. It seems more personal than some other Thai places the make their food according to the typical Thai template. Drunken noodles are great and try the sticky rice with mango for desert.

Well, all the Unilocal reviews for this place are right. This place is great! We tried the coconut fried sweet potatoes which were very good, the spring rolls that had a great flavor the sauce they give you with it was just a bonus to add the all the great flavors. For dinner we had the red curry the sauce was very flavorful and had a good coconut taste. Also, we had the pad thai a little peanut sauce and it was ready to go! Great place I look forward to going back!

Best Thai is the area for sure. We have eaten here for about a year now and every meal has been consistent. Excellent. Staff has been here for the entirety without change and they are attentive and polite. Amy, the owner, is present and shuffles between table touches and the kitchen. I just can’t say enough about the quality of the food… it is probably the best Thai I have had in Florida and all at a great price. My wife is vegan and they are very vegan friendly. Cheers!

Delicious!!! Crispy coconut shrimp dipped in coconut water, red curry with chicken, noodle soup, and pad Thai with juicy tender super succulent beef… everything perfectly-seasoned and portioned. Topped it off with tempura banana drizzled with honey and a la mode. Worth traveling a few thousand miles to eat here!!! Owner Amy and all her crew are thoughtful and hospitable. C’mon over and support a locally-owned small business.

What a wonderful little hidden gem! This place is in a really unassuming location, but it’s absolutely worth seeking out. Don’t be put off by the small size and strip mall positioning — I’ve been to a lot of Thai restaurants over the years, and this one ranks up there as one of the best. Not only is the staff super-friendly, fast, and attentive, but the food is absolutely top-notch. Everything is made to-order, so nothing feels reheated or mushy. It’s all crisp, flavorful, and fresh. The portion sizes are generous, and the selection has a ton of variety without being overwhelming. For appetizers, we tried the garlic edamame and the sweet potato tempura. Both were absolutely great, but I was particularly impressed by the tempura — hot, crunchy, and plentiful. We tried two curries(red and green) for dinner along with a soba noodle soup bowl, and we all loved them all. Large, flavorful portions with lots of tasty ingredients and just the right amount of spice. We finished the meal off with a warm sticky rice dessert that came with ice cream and a crunchy roasted coconut topping, and it was fantastic. If you’re craving Thai and happen to be anywhere in the area, do yourself a favor and go here — from the staff to the dishes, you really can’t ask for more.

I love this place! Amy and her husband are amazing cooks. The Panang is addicting. The pineapple fried rice is so good and I re commend the green papaya salad. My goal is to try everything on the menu. Well I have tried most everything on the menu. Any of the tempura fried fish is exquisite! It is crisp and not greasy and the fish is perfectly cooked. Try it with the garlic sauce and mixed veggies. So fresh!
