Horrible to-go service!!! My order was repeated back to me and was still wrong when I got there. No napkins or utensils were placed in my bag! When I asked for napkins someone behind the register told me to get them off the table. They must’ve have forgot that chipotle is in the next plaza over and it’s all connected.

By far my favorite Tijuana Flats in the area! Brand new, clean and inviting restaurant with great staff members and managers in place. Food was fresh and served in a timely manor. The sauce bar is full of options to choose from the mild to extreme. Staff checks on you continuously for refills and such. Several specials throughout the week to try. Looking forward to going back!

Best location I have been to! Steve(manager) is awesome– gives customers great service/experience. The rest of the staff is great too! On Tuesday the tacos entrée is 5.49 with chips and drink. Thursday the burrito dinner is 5.99 with chips and drink! Great prices and great food. I love the chicken tacos and bangin’ chicken burrito! This place is definitely worth a try. Can’t wait to visit again soon!

This had to be one of the oddest dining experiences I’ve ever had. They’re a week old so I get the whole working out the kinks excuse. First off you get handed a menu when you walk in which you bring up to the counter and order from. The menu is not written behind the cashiers I imagine in a effort to disassociate themselves from the«fast food» stigma. It’s confusing enough but then when the cashier doesn’t really pay attention and then gives a snippy answer when you ask a question it just makes it worse. After the food is ordered they bring it out. Then every single associate that passes the table asked us «do you need anything?» «Is everything ok?» Which at first was appreciated. After the twelfth yes TWELFTH time, it became annoying. Just let me eat. Find a happy medium. Had the beef burrito which was very good. Unfortunately, I also had the chicken enchilada which had eight cubes of chicken in it. Cubes??? Did they run out of regular chicken? Very odd all around. Won’t be back.

My first time at any Tijuana Flats location tonight.(This is a new location that opened two days ago, so, understandably, there may be some growing pains and adjustments that will be made over time). (A note on my stars rating… I am hard pressed to give any chain/franchise restaurant a four star rating and five is just not going to happen… that said, my overall impression was favorable. This is several notches above most fast food/casual dining places… some minor improvements and they would get a 3.5– which, of course, is not a choice on Unilocal– and perhaps even a four star rating). Like I mentioned, a new location and everything looked clean and inviting. I came at about 9 pm and there were only one other table of guests when I arrived). The service/attitude was on point. I was greeted when I walked in the door and given a «hello» by at least 3 folks before I even got to the counter to place my order. I ordered a steak burrito, double meat and cheese, with queso on top(came with chips). Took about 8 – 10 minutes to arrive at my table. While I waited, I went to the Hot Sauce bar and took a sampling of 4 sauces in little cups. The chips tasted good(were not warm, but, that is not a deal breaker). The sauces were all good, varying flavors and levels of spiciness. Overall, the burrito was good, several steps above say, Taco Bell, and in the same class as Chipotle. The restaurant apparently prides itself on using fresh ingredients, and the burrito ingredients all tasted fresh and were flavorful. The tortilla itself was about room temperature(I don’t know if they put it in the over, use a press for the tortilla or just use a room temp tortilla), and while the queso was«warmer» I would have preferred a heated or warmer tortilla. I thought the steak was good, if just a tad salty. The jalapenos were good and along with the onions and lettuce gave a nice crunch and texture. Overall, a good burrito and I enjoyed it. In retrospect, I probably would have also ordered some salsa. I was a bit confused as to the«sauce bar» vice a regular salsa. So, I missed trying the house salsa. I am curious how that tastes. Maybe because the location is new and there was no one else in the restaurant by the time my food arrived, I did get a lot of attention from the staff. Three different folks stopped by and asked if everything was good.(I did not complain about the burrito as it was good– maybe I would have preferred a few tweaks, mentioned above, but nothing was below expectations… so, nothing to defend on the part of the service staff. They were all friendly, warm and attentive). I was impressed by the service. I will check back in the next few weeks and see if there are changes/improvements. I thought the size of the portions and the value was good(about $ 13, including drink). I would definitely say they are a good choice in the casual dining segment and have some promise of being even better.(They also have some good daily specials).
