Denny’s

I believe it’s the manager at this location, short black lady, had terrible attitude. Every time we asked her for something it was like we were totally inconveniencing her. Won’t go back to this Denny’s.

This Denny’s was great when first opened. NOW it’s not worth the bother. The manager is downright evil. Go to the one in Rockwall, it gets all the business and the service is terrific.

I have to say that this restaurant has came a long way in the last year. The new owner is caring and attentive to customers needs. The food was good also :) great job

Great service, friendly people, amazingl homely food. This place really puts the comfort in comfort food. Been there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and every time I’ve had a great meal and a almost always perfect service. It may not be as busy some days as it is others, but it’s always a great experience. They have the BEST hash browns. In conclusion, for a chain restaurant it is a good experience, but of course, it varies person to person and place to place. 4 stars!

The Denny’s site states 24/​7, I called today and they said we are open everyday. We went at 3:30am and there was a handmade sign that stated ‘closed for maintenance’. When I brought this to the attention of the person on the phone they said «Well, we are open everyday but only from 5:00am to 11:00pm.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. I have dined in and picked up orders– dining in: burnt our hush pup appetizers for breakfast– didn’t complain. Asked for a plain grilled cheese– simple right? They literally just out a slice of COLD CHEESE between untoasted bread. My husband complained for me and our server was definitely annoyed. She walked away as my husband was in the middle of talking to get a manager and said «you can deal with them.»
Pick up: ask for cheese on my hashbrowns they out it on my over easy eggs and my bacon but not my hashbrowns (pretty sure it was on purpose) the lady on the phone was very rude. Said it would be 15 min. So I waited 15 min at my house before leaving (because I know they are slow there) go to pick up– I waited 20 MIN!!! DO NOT EAT HERE

We have gone to this Denny’s several times as it’s one of our few options in Royse City. Their food always seems to taste good and although they aren’t always the fastest or friendliest staff, It wasn’t until our last visit that made me want to write a review. We got to there around 10:00 pm, 4 adults and one child. The waitress had a rude demeanor about her, but nothing I couldn’t get over. THEN, after we ordered I handed her the menus and saw her nails. They were long and nasty. By nasty, I mean dirty yellow fungus looking nasty. When she brought our food out her nasty nails were so long she’s basically touching the food, maybe not literally, but it’s too close to tell for sure. Her thumbnail was hanging over our food (if you think about how you grab a plate when you have 2 in your hand, you’ll get it).
Then, there was the fact that a off duty (in regular clothes, but overheard conversations to realize she worked there) waitress that had sores all over her arm (meth head) and acting weird kept going in and out of the kitchen.
The entire left side of the restaurant was «closed» with the lights out and a chair blocking the entrance. Well, that just so happens to be the side where the bathroom is and my 4 year old kid had to go to the bathroom twice. There was some guy (again not in uniform, but think it might have been someone’s boyfriend) sleeping in one of the booths.
We were so disgusted we barely ate anything. My stomach was turning as I tried to take a bite.

We’ve been coming here for a while because it’s the only breakfast place in Royse city, so we can’t complain to much. But, the manager is the worst. Today specifically we were holding open the outer door for a family with a small baby and as they were coming out he pushed passed them not say excuse me or anything then he didn’t even hold inner door open for us. Mind you this isn’t the first time we’ve had to deal with his horrid customer service. He allows the staff in the front to be racist to the staff in the back so loudly we felt like we had to say something to let them know that they sounded ignorant. Needless to say we walked out both times. We won’t go back and don’t recommend this Denny’s to anyone.

Are these guys ever open…
I’ve tried several times late at night to eat here, but it’s always closed. I work nights and I think I’ve only been able to eat here once, but it was around 10:00am.

Need to bring back the southern slam. These idiots can’t figure it out. Had to call the manager and give him instructions. Waitress was very rude

Not great service. Food is fair. Over priced for numerous items. People are pleasant.
