Great little coffee place, in a non-Starbucks kinda atmosphere. They are located in the Historic Downtown area of Royse City, TX. in a 100 year old building. They have a variety of warm beverages and a good breakfast selection. They even have live music on certain nights. Great place to stop in when you are in the area.

I love this place. It’s like a little oasis of sweet calm with great music and live bands on the weekend. It’s always family friendly. My occupation is so stressful, this place is like an IV of spiritual nourishment, and I am lucky my office is nearby. Plus, they have great coffees, salads, sandwiches and service.

It’s a very impression place especially for Royse city. I’ve been wanting to try breakfasts here for the longest time, and was super happy with it. Unfortunately I was craving a waffle & of course their waffle machine was broken which was super disappointing, but the bacon was a great quality & my latte was awesome.

Best hangout place in town. I used to go here every Thursday night to have bible studies. It’s a great atmosphere to talk and drink good drinks! I usually get the Sweet green tea with a shot of mango syrup! It’s my favorite. I love the chicken Caesar salad! I sometimes have to ask for extra dressing but they don’t charge so it’s perfectly okay! Most weekends they have local performers perform and it’s really a treat!

Good coffee. Friendly genuine people. Good breakfast sandwiches. But honestly, the best thing about this place is that they live Jesus. You can tell in how they talk to you, serve you, treat you, and do their jobs. I will stop here every chance I get heading in and out of town. And you should too.

Stopped in here for a girls-only lunch with some family. Great sandwiches for lunch and really yummy, delicious cookies, scones and other pastries. They offer smoothies, Arnold Palmers and a wide variety of coffee/espresso drinks. It’s much larger on the inside than you’d think and very clean, even the highchairs. They had a stage set up for live music, which I think have on Friday and Saturday nights. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re nearby and want to try a nice local lunch spot, get a really good cup of coffee and not go to a Starbucks.

We had a wonderful lunch at the well. The staff and owner are so very friendly and accommodating very nice Christian people. We were on our way home to Kalamazoo Michigan coming from Dallas. Just a short hop off 30. They have live music on Friday and Saturday nights we wish we lived closer!

Good food. Nice staff. Decent coffee but WAY too religious for me. Two or three bible studies going on in the hour I was there. It felt like a church coffee shop.

Sweet atmosphere, staff, and wide array of coffee, tea and food selections. Delicious Irish-themed drinks in honor of St. Patrick’s day. Definitely coming back next time we pass through Royse City!

Kind of disappointed that all their flavorings are just artificially flavored bottled syrup. I had hoped some of them would be natural flavors. That said the coffee I did have was good. They have a lunch special and often have live music and fund raising type gatherings. Great supporter of the town and a nice place to go.

Great coffee, friendly folks, a whole lot of awesome. I’d much rather«get well» as opposed to handing over so many of my hard earned«bucks»

Jewel of the town. What a wonderful place in such a small town east of Dallas. The wall is a great coffee house and the bright spot on Main Street of Royce City. I was surprised to see them open on Boxing Day right after the nights snow fall. The ladies working today are beautiful, nice and friendly. They happily make us coffee, coco, and breakfast. They have a small menu that, by my breakfast experience, is just excellent. Thank you for such a comfy place to go for breakfast, coffee and things.

Always on the prowl for great coffee in a non-Starbucks setting, I discovered the Well Coffee Lounge a few months age. It’s located on historic Main St in a 100 year old building, just a few blocks north of IH-30. The Well has a huge variety of drink offerings and breakfast, sandwiches and salad offerings. The egg and sausage panini is the only food I’ve ordered and it was very good. Oh, a giant slice of carrot cake, too. They’ve even got milk shakes. There is live music on weekend nights. A great place for local acts, especially Christian artists. My drink? White chocolate mocha. It’s fantastic. I didn’t think I was a big fan, but the Well has converted me. I’m there 2 or 3 times a week.

They ought to be called the Oh Well Who Gives A D&^%. We walked in and went right up to the counter to order. Depspite the fact they were standing a few feet away and glancing at us occasionally, none of the four or five staff members that were present could be bothered to detach themselves from their conversation long enough to even acknowledge our existence, much less take our order. It was so far beyond rude and condescending, that I really don’t have words. We stood at the counter so long that the kitchen staff came out, looked at us, looked at the clucking hen party. They gave us an apologetic shrug and went back into the kitchen without ever speaking to either of us. Apparently unless you are part of the post menopausal bon-bon hot flash coffee klatch you just aren’t worth waiting on. I predict that well coffee longue won’t last long. Darwin will weed you — again.

The Well is a comfortable small town coffee shop which also serves sandwiches, soups, salads, and dessert pastries. A better quality and larger variety of items is available here than the average Starbucks or its knockoffs. The menu choices are creative and well prepared. The staff is very friendly and skilled without being obtrusive. The place is filled with a wonderfully relaxed Christian-oriented atmosphere. Several Christian books are on hand for those needing some relaxed reading. For others, a small but engaging selection of tabletop games are available. Bonuses are the cups filled with Trivial Pursuit cards on each table, a sitting area tucked behind the bookshelves toward the back of the main seating area(two very comfy armchairs and a couch,) and live Christian music on some weekends. Unfortunately, The Well falls just short of earning five stars. On occassion, the live band is a bit too loud, thus dashing the comfort level one would expect. Is Gospel Bluegrass supposed to be played at the same volume as arena rock? It is not really that loud, but the nearness of the stage to the all of the seating, the shape of the seating area, and the metal siding covering the wall behind the stage all work to magnify the volume. The only other drawback is the placement of the stage. Being just inside the front door means that when entering or leaving by the front Main Street entrance, one must pass through the narrow space between the stage and any seated spectators. This was particularly awkward one afternoon when it was necessary to intrude between a gentleman and a small class of adults he was leading. Fortunately, these two issues are the exception to the norm at The Well and can be avoided with just a smidgen of planning, or if one is simply craving tasty caffeination and live Christian music. Either way, the visit is sure to comfort and delight.
