Big mountain skier convert. Perfect place for a ski family. My daughter is in the 6 week ski program. The mountain offers a great combo of terrain for her to learn & some of the instructors are awesome. Who can beat $ 29 tickets? The Angry Beavers’ passion for glade development is going to make this big little mountain a hidden sweet spot for powdha lovers.

Black Mountain is an amazing place to ski! Sure, it doesn’t have the size of places like Sugarloaf and Sunday River, but this the type of place where you feel like you’re skiing with a few hundred of your closest friends. The atmosphere is exactly what a ski resort should be. The staff is friendly, there are trails for every ability, and the lodge is comfortable for those friends or family that would rather sip a pint in the Last Run Pub! At $ 15 for a lift ticket, I almost dare you to find a better value for your dollar. Black Mountain is one of the few places where a family can spend the day together without breaking the bank. Season passes are $ 150 and rentals are $ 25 a day. Food prices are incredibly reasonable, ski shop prices are reasonable, and even the drink prices are reasonable! If you haven’t skied Black Mountain yet, what are you waiting for?!

black moutain of maine. –1 stars for the cold(the mountain faces the wrong way and they were unsympathetic about complaints to reorient it), and –1 stars for selling out of the $ 4 pastrami sandwich. –1 star for being so far away. otherwise, just an ordinary, run of the mill, excellent 5 star ski resort with value for money that you just will not believe, see, I said you would not: $ 15 lift ticket, not on special, lifts run when they said, and runs were open as they said. sugarloaf, we found has lifts open but on wind hold, which they count. odd. It is not a big ski area, you will get bored by day 3, but the terrain was varied, and the folks nice.
