Delicious snd fresh diner food– sounds just like the reviews for Route2 Diner — but that apparently closed and this place opened — I recommend for prompt friendly service and typical fare like hand crafted burgers, sandwiches, salads, and home cooked meals.

I hope what the previous reviewer wrote is wrong about this place closing. I have been coming up here in the summer time for years and this is my favorite breakfast place. The home made corned beef hash is awesome and the service and staff are first rate friendly and professional. other standouts are the fresh baked bread and tne pancakes are so lite and fluffy they almost float offof the plate. I sure hope I find them here next summer when I come up.

This place is little slice of heaven in the middle of nowhere. Very, very friendly staff. Hearty portions are served. I wanted them to have tasting menu because it’s so hard to decide amongst all the interesting and appealing selections. Go.

Second time there today — breakfast was good. Service was great! Homemade bread for toast(cinnamon fabulous!). One of our party had corned beef hash(they loved it); one had eggs, bacon, homefries, toast(3 stars as eggs slightly undercooked and bacon a little flubby but they really liked to homefries and toast) and I tried stuffed french toast(which was good but rich — make sure to ask for real maple syrup — can’t understand why they serve the gloopy corn syrup stuff). Clean and comfortable — no booths, just a big room of tables. Definitely the best place around Bethel.

Wow… this place is a true hidden gem. It is well worth the drive from Sunday River(20 minutes) and a great way to fuel up before skiing or hiking all day. We stumbled across it on our way to the Walmart in Mexico one day. We make sure we go there at least once on every trip now. Seriously home made food… the bread, the hash, the soups, the pies, everything. I am in love with their reuben omelet and farmers hash. They have 4 or 5 different kinds of hash… the farmers has cabbage and carrots in it. They have tons of savory and sweet items on their menu and special board. Lobster benedict was on the board this week along with strawberry cheesecake stuffed french toast. We’ve never had lunch here but the menu looks fantastic… lots of different burgers with different types of meat including buffalo. They also have a baked goods counter. We always get a massive breakfast for cheap and take home a loaf of oatmeal bread(divine) and some whoopie pies. This is one of those hole in the walls that the locals frequent. It’s ridiculously good.

Stumbled upon this diner this past weekend while up at Sunday River snowboarding with some friends. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the mountain and relax with an unbelievably palatable breakfast then this is your place. I ordered the stuffed blueberry French toast and it was quite tasty with more than a generous helping of fresh Maine blueberries complimented with fresh whipped cream. They also have some not so typical diner fare such a goose eggs with fresh corned beef hash, also well worth trying. So if you are in the Rumford area, take a drive down Route 2 and give this place a try because it will be well worth it.
