Good Deli sandwiches. That’s why there is always a line. Get to go is the way to roll here. Lots of choices too.

Reasonable price in a great area #26 southwestern was awesome. I also had them make a fresh mozz, prosciutto and roasted spinach on sub roll. Another great sandwich. The bonus you can get a bottle of wine or beer on site and enjoy at liquor store prices.

Very few tables so be prepared to either go elsewhere with your food and beverage or wait until there is an opening. The food is prepared daily and very fresh. My only complaint are their muffins which I found to be dry. I was impressed they still had the pumpkin coffee. A must try if you never had one. I normally do not like flavored coffee but my girlfriend who met me for lunch ordered me one once before and I got hooked. Darn you, R! You know who you are, lady R! lol. I ordered the Southwestern grilled chicken with monterey jack cheese, black bean and corn salsa, lettuce, tomato in a spinach wrap. The chicken could have been more moist but hey, it’s white meat and I’m a dark meat lover. ;) My girlfriend is a vegetarian and she had #25 which entailed marinated portablello mushrooms, roasted red peppers, fresh mozzarella, lettuce, tomatoes on an herb bun. You should seen all the juices that came out of it. While half of mine can be wrapped for later, she could not wrap hers up for later because it would have gotten hella soggy. It’s a very nice place for breakfast and lunch but I would not say, its a must place to go if you’re in town. There are other places I’d like to try so I may review again after I frequent some other places. Knock, knock… oh, I hear the French Market calling for me. :D

Delicious subs and sandwiches. Service is usually good(new kid lost my order today, waited 30 minutes, inquired as they were 10 minutes from closing, they made up for it with swift and yummy food brought to the table on plates, as if to say, please don’t feel like you need to rush and leave because we dropped the ball. I was impressed). Staff is friendly, place is very clean. A small seating area is available. They have a nice selection of higher end wines, some beer, bagels/muffins/desserts. Well priced and the subs are big. Real small place but definitely a hidden treasure. Will absolutely return!

Breakfast lunch or dinner you can’t go wrong delicious! Their premade dinners are often overlooked but shouldn’t be. They are top quality and there is a large variety of different Cuisines.

#11 breaded chicken cutlet sandwich is amazing. Whenever we come to visit NJ, I always ask to eat here, and sometimes we can even fit 2 trips to Brennans.(The only place that might have a better chicken sandwich is Bakesale Betty in Oakland, Ca.) Often we’ll get our sandwiches to go and walk around to the water and sit on picnic bench and eat while enjoying the view. I also love the cookies and assorted baked goods.

Pricey, slow… Young staff… Friendly but when you have high school kids taking orders their priorities are to chitchat with their friends rather then checking on your bacon egg and cheese sandwich that took 20 mins to make. Quality is good but expensive for what you are getting. Seems like they are getting away with local business… Would i come again… Maybe if I have no other choice.

I stopped and got a Ham & Swiss sandwich on a roll with mayo last week. $ 9.10 for a very basic sandwich. I can buy a whole # 15 sub(ham, salami, provolone, lettuce, onion & tomato) at Elsie’s for less… The sandwich was fine the price wasn’t…

The portions are absurd. Maybe this is a matter of personal taste, but I had to take off hald of the meat to make the sandwich edible. Quality is so-so and the bread was stale. Not sure why this place is so popular. I guess there really aren’t many delis in the area, but I think we deserve better. Also very pricey, but you do get a lot of food.

I have had catered lunches many times at my office and always impressed by the sandwiches. This time I catered at home and was extremely disappointed We ordered barbecue menu. The ribs were dry and flavorless and cut in huge chunks noons could eat easily. The fried chicken was average at beat. Not crispy at all with a differ t lemon spice. The pulled pork. Came with NO sauce and NOBREAD or ROLLS. Dessert tray of cookies and brownies was gummy and terrible and garnished with moldy strawberries. No follow up by anyone to see if we were happy. The only highlight was the server Jill She was terrific NEVER again.

If you took this place out of Rumson and put it up against any other amazing deli it would achieve 1 stars at the most. Very friendly staff and good quality ingredients but simply cannot justify the prices(even for Rumson) and the sandwiches, salads, and wraps pale in comparison with other 5 star delis such as Taliercio’s in Middletown.

Yes, it is pricey, but their sandwiches never disappoint, including breakfast sandwiches, and the coconut chicken fingers are to die for! Great for crowds at parties. The coffee is excellent, and their black and white cookies are probably the best I’ve ever had. Parking can be tricky and the place can get crowded, but that’s just a testament to the deliciousness of Brennans!

This is sandwich nirvana. This deli serves up some delicious, gourmet sandwiches to a bustling lunch crowd. They do so quickly even when slammed. At around $ 8 a sandwich, they’re an incredible value given the amount of premium ingredients loaded onto the sandwich. In fact, I often wonder if their lunch sandwich business is a loss leader to introduce folks to their prepared food and catering. The only downside of grabbing lunch here is that there are only three tables. If they’re full, you’re going to be getting your order to go.

This deli makes great sandwiches and prepared foods. The 19, a smoked turkey and russian dressing dream is my fav on the 7 grain roll. My kids won’t eat egg and cheese from anywhere else.

If I could only eat at one place for the rest of my life, I think it would be Brennan’s. No, really. I actually thought this over while waiting in line for my sandwich today. First of all– the sandwiches. They are amazing. You have 26 options to choose from and no matter what you choose I doubt you will be disappointed. My very favorite is the #26(chicken, corn and black bean salsa, monterey jack, lettuce, cilantro lime dressing) but like I said, you can’t really go wrong. I don’t normally like roast beef but I even enjoy the roast beef sandwiches here(try the #14!). If you are a vegetarian they have a couple options as well. There are also premade salads that look pretty delicious but I usually go for a sandwich. Secondly– the sides. They’ve got classics like chicken salad, potato salad, egg salad, etc. plus more unique items like seaweed salad. There’s also about 20 different varieties of chips available, as well as a plethora of baked goods and desserts. Finally– the drinks. They don’t just have coffee, they have about 15 different kinds of coffee(plus iced coffees and teas). They don’t just have soda, they have 4 coolers worth of soft drinks. And yes, they have alcohol(to go, not on tap)! They have a fairly decent selection of beer, including some local-ish breweries like Flying Fish, as well as wine. How could this place get any better?!

Definitely worth the wait if they are busy. Drove by 1000 times and finally had a chance to go in. Long line, but moves fast as staff moves like a well oiled machine. Lunch menu is great — No need to deviate. Definitely recommend. And prices are right. Sandwiched for 4(2kids) — $ 28. Can’t go wrong. Try the chicken breast, Navratilova cheese, and dill spread…

. The ingredients fresh, sandwiches large, and worth waiting in line for. Everything is made to order. The chicken with bacon, cheese, red onion(and I personally request avocado) is a fave and regular menu order. A bit pricey for a sandwich, but worth it for a beach or picnic item. Take out only.
