Solid place on a quiet street. A longer stay can get you a good rate. It is 1hr from AC and 30 from Philly! Good value for the $$

We had a Groupon to stay here and even though it was pass the expiration date, the staff graciously accepted it for the original value. If I had to pay full price for the suite my family of four stayed in, maybe I’d have been annoyed. Maybe we didn’t expect too much either, but we found the hotel and our room perfectly acceptable. It was the perfect place for us to stay while we went sight-seeing in Philly and the Adventure Aquarium. PROS: All the staff was pleasant and helpful. Room seemed clean enough, the tub drained as it should(I’ve read the other reviews here), when we asked for blankets for the pullout sofa bed, they were brought up within 10 minutes. The hotel is a mere five minutes away from the NJ Turnpike, CVS is down the block, a lot of businesses in the area. CONS: The t.v.s are ANCIENT, from the ‘90s. The continental breakfast is served in the lobby during the week so you know you’re going back to your room to eat breakfast. No frills and the Runnemede Inn worked for us, the necessary budget savvy.

I wish I didn’t have to give this place such a low rating, because Janice at the front desk is so helpful and is the epitome of a sweetheart, but the housekeeping here is extremely subpar. Our film production reserved about 20 rooms while shooting our feature, and there’s nothing worse than coming back after a long shoot day to a room that is half cleaned, at best. My first issue was that they left only one wash cloth. I left the housekeeper a kind note one morning(and a TIP) asking her to leave more, and I came back to the note and tip gone, but still one washcloth. I also noticed that the bed was made, but bathtub and sink hadn’t even been touched. It was still dirty from the night before(we’re filming on a farm, so unfortunately there is visible dirt at the end of a day). So I notified the front desk of the washcloth request and the bathroom not being cleaned, and the next evening I came in to NO washcloths, as if they were doing it on purpose after I’d notified the front desk staff about my bathroom being unclean and asking to be left at least 2 washcloths. Even when I went down to get one after coming in to none, the girl at the front desk commented about housekeeping saying«gee they’re mean.» YES, they are. And perhaps a bit lazy. Other than that, the hotel is older and has no frills, but that would be a lot more tolerable with a bit more customer oriented service and attention to the rooms while guests are staying.

Soo… my coworkers and I had to book the ‘nicest-looking’ place after the main hotel chains because there was some conference that had booked all the other hotels. This seemed to be the best choice… well let me give you some things to ponder before you book. My co-workers helped me compile during the end of the work day after we stayed 15 hours at the facility dreading returning to the hotel. PROS: — The lobby looks really nice… there’s a little bar that serves food and has affordable drinks — The gym has 2 treads, 1 elliptical, and 1 bike, and there is ample room for breathing. — Lamps with outlets at the base — They give you a sample size tube of toothpaste if you ask for it at the front(Arm & Hammer!) CONS: — Bring your own water to the gym, because the fountain doesn’t work –_– — No weights in the gym — The treadmill was not the best quality(no ledge for propping entertainment) — The beds are old and lumpy — Walls and ceilings are cracking(musty), carpets are torn — Elevators are worn… some parts breaking off, numbers missing… — My toilet seat was suspiciously yellow… — The bathtub would clog up in some rooms — Barely any lights – very dim room.(According to one coworker«Good. I don’t really wanna see what’s in there.») — Ironing board conditions: sad — TV remote batteries kept falling out because the cover was missing — At least two of us didn’t have working telephones in our rooms — There were paper numbers currently covering the room numbers on my floor — No complimentary breakfast. :( — Easily deactivated room keys My biggest complaint? The ‘free high speed internet’ is false advertising… when I asked for log in information I was told, ‘if it doesn’t work, it’s because of our high occupancy.’ Look. I don’t care if you have one customer or if you are fully booked, if you claim to have high speed internet, there better be high speed internet, ya heard? This is not a motel, and this is not a developing country. Internet is almost as important as the shower. Get it together.
