Disappointed because this place has such amazing potential. I bought my ticket with high expectations because the description sounded AWESOME but it did not live up to its own hype. Staff were actually great, and did the best they could with what they were given. They stayed in character throughout which was cool and helps ease the sting of buying tickets. I know this was the first year and problems are to be expected but you have a literal gold mine on your hands if you could execute it better. A few things off the top of my head: –add more zombies. 6 isnt an outbreak. –plot better routes between each maze. I have no problem with hiking but hiking past mazes to the far side of the camp only to hike back to mazes we were just next to made no sense. –improve or lose the laser tag. Guns didn’t work which kinda just makes it less laser tag and more running around with glowsticks. –have the mazes mean something. In one of the mazes you have to ‘find a key card and a classified file.’ After the first half of my team couldn’t find them, I was able to(SPOILER: the file is on the filing cabinet) and brought them to my squad leader. He congratulated me and then put them back. Wtf was the point of that then? Another maze has you blindfolded searching through a room with papers strewn everywhere for ID badges with no point to the badges once you get them. I dont get it. –dont hold off on starting the event because people are running late. 99% of the people showed up early or on time so don’t wait an hour because people got stuck in traffic. –throwing hatchets is cool. Throwing hatchets held together by duct tape? Not so much. –Buy better paintball guns. Some worked. Mine and 3 others in my group of 11 did not. –an objective to find the antidote is to find small vials of ‘serum’ which turn out to be tokens to buy beers with. Thats cool and all but its only good for people who bought the overnight package. I found 6 vials that i wasn’t allowed to redeem for anything. Just understand this Panic Mountain… Im not mad, Im just disappointed.

This place is amazing. You get to walk through the woods shooting zombies with a paintball gun. There’s panic rooms, guided dark rooms filled with zombies. A must go for any zombie lover. The staff is nice. All the People that wrote bad reviews don’t know What they are talking about. The only bad thing would be the training it took too long, but all in all a great experience.

NOTIMPRESSEDATALL! This event is not worth the drive or the $$. Most people these days are used to professional style haunts. Panic Mountain is definitely not that. It seems like it is run by a bunch of bored camp councilors with no experience what-so-ever in this genre of entertainment. The worst part about the entire night is how after you check in and place your stuff into your cabin, a security guard apparently comes in when you are eating dinner and searches thru all of your stuff. NOTCOOL! If the management had any customer service experience they would know that if this needs to be done, which by all means it should, they should do it with the guests present at the search! DOITATCHECKIN! We were embarrassed by being removed by security at dinner to let us know that we could not have silly string at the event. Last time I checked silly string is not considered contraband or an illegal substance. 15 to 20 zombies scare you thru-out a 3 hour walk in the woods guided by a completely clueless guide. One of our team members found an unloaded paintball gun on a table during our walk around the woods. After he found the gun he ran up to tell our team leader about his find. Our team leaded said«Good Job Soldier» so he assumed that the unloaded paintball gun on the course was part of the experience. After all our team leader was shooting zombies with the exact same one. About 20 to 30 minutes later our team leader payed a bit more attention and saw we had the unloaded paintball gun. Next thing we know security is back with management questioning us about this damn gun. We thought it was part of the experience because the whole night you are searching for things on the property. We thought we found a gun to use to kill zombies. Our team leader said great work when we found the unloaded paintball gun so we fired the same way he did. All complaints and circumstances that happened aside, If you want to get scared for a lot less $$ head to 17th Door, The Alone Experience, Knott’s Scary Farm, or Halloween Horror Nights. PANICMOUNTAINISAMATEURHOUR!

They don’t even deserve one star. But I had no choice when making this honest review. They had poor management and this place was so bad, I left early. They made the experience not worth wild. I advice you to spend the money at universal or knotts. Don’t go here! Turn back! Your have been warned!

We may have had a better experience than most because we went in a large group of friends. Having said that… They make you park near the gate and walk almost a mile carrying your overnight gear to the check in even tho there is parking a lot closer. I think this is because they don’t want you going to your car without security knowing about it. I will have more about that in a minute. We arrived at check in with our bags and we were advised to take then to our room so that we would arrive at dinner ready to proceed to the event immediately after dinner. We were 11 people sharing a 12 bed cabin.(It seemed comfortable but we never got to use it. I’ll explain when I get to the end of the night.) As we were all in the cabin choosing our bunks and looking forward to the evening, the security guard just walked in without knocking. There are no locks on the doors so every thing that you don’t take with you on the challenge like ladies purses, back packs and one friend brought his banjo stays in an unlocked room during dinner and the event. The security gaurd walked all around the room looking at us and our stuff. He didn’t speak until he noticed an unopened pack of cigarettes. He demand to know who they belonged to and reminded us that this is a tabacco free event then left the room leaving us dumbfounded and feeling our privacy had been violated. Dinner was enchiladas, beans and rice. It was good. While every one was eating they went back to all the cabins and went completely through every one’s stuff including purses, backpacks and jacket pockets. I thinkthis is why they make you park so far away. They don’t want you going back to your car without them knowing about it. That way they keep you from bringing in contraban after they have tossed your room. They then began approaching people in the dining room and having them take things out to their cars and confiscating«party favors» from the backpack of someone in our group. Another member of our group had fake blood in his bag. They made him take it out to the car and explained that the previous weekend someone vandalized the room with fake blood, the way they treat you might make someone do that. The people in another group had real guns in there room. I can’t say if they were loaded but wouldn’t you leave that in your car especially when you discovered that the room doors had no locks. Anyway. On to the challenges. We had fun. It’s wasn’t what the Web site built it up to be but they look like they have potential to improve. They have some good ideas. We had 3 veterans in our group which made the war games very fun and very funny. Also because all in our group knew each other we were fantastic at the team building and problem solving challenges. The team leader we got assigned to was also a vet and he was awesome. He understood us and made it fun for us. Some improvements need to made, but over all we were all pretty happy about the challenges part of the evening. About the after party… Two members of our group were minors(19 yrs). They were not allowed to be on the side of the room where alcohol was being consumed and we were not allowed to consume alcohol on the side of the room where minors were present. The event manager told us that this was a legal matter. WHAT? please explain this me. All of the adults had wrist bands just like at many events and no one has ever told me that it is illegal to sit at a table next to my 19 year old son while consuming alcohol(beer and wine only). I thought it was odd that minors were only allowed to sit at the the tables closest to the bar. The tables where adults were allowed to consume alcohol were farthest away from the bar. Also the music was to loud for conversion which is fine if you just want to dance but we wanted to enjoy each others company. All this made it impossible for us to all stay together and enjoy ourselves. We decided to leave. The lady who was obviously in charge of this event is a very poor event manager with zero skills in the area of guest ralations. If you go to this event I recommend not paying extra to eat dinner and spend the night. Only do the event. It is fun and I think that as they gain experience the event will get better. We were not the only people who packed up and left after deciding not to stay the night. One more shout out to our amazing«Alpha squad» team leader.

AWFULEXPERIENCE. Horrid, clueless management who have no clue how to organize an event. Upon arrival as soon as we left our cabins they searched everyone’s bags, and removed items without permission. Then on the ‘event’, our clueless guide wouldn’t answer questions and often made major mistakes like not properly training people how to use paintball guns. Half the things you do are boring team building exercises or random walks around the forest because the event is so badly organized they kept getting backed up. Often our guide didn’t even tell us the goals of what we were searching for. Management was rude throughout and treated our whole group like children(despite us all being executives in our 30’s and 40’s). Overall an overpriced event with terrible management that has no idea how to create a fun experience or give guests a fun time. Wish I could do zero stars.

I can’t rave about this event enough! My friends and I had a blast, and we’re looking forward to going next year. First off, a shoutout to whoever runs their Facebook page. They were very responsive and helpful, and promptly answered my million questions and concerns(what can I say, I’m a neurotic planner). Since one of us had to work early the next morning, we opted for the event-only ticket, which I think is a great value. The overnight package is a bit pricier, but it does come with meals, a cabin stay, and an after party. The event itself was almost three hours long; try actually doing three hours worth of stuff at Halloween Horror Nights! All the staff members we encountered seemed pretty nice and organized. Our squad leader was awesome, and our team members were cool. Despite being made up of four different parties who didn’t know each other, we rocked the team challenges. Go Team Charlie! The event itself was amazing! You are literally running through the woods at night shooting zombies for one of the challenges. The environment is perfect — a dark remote forest lit mainly by the moon. It’s worth the drive just to get that atmosphere. Some of the other challenges were also terrifyingly awesome, like the maze room. The team building exercises were fun as well, but a bit anticlimactic after some of the more heart-pounding challenges. They could use a little more tension, especially since our group did those last; a more constant presence of zombies would really hold the event together stronger, even if it was just zombie sounds playing. I also think the story could’ve been integrated a little better. Those are all minor complaints though. We all had so much fun! With Delusion currently out of the picture, this is definitely my new favorite Halloween event.
