Suntrust

I did not like this bank, the staff seemed like they wanted to be helpful somewhat but weren’t overly friendly and acted like they couldn’t wait for me to leave. I was trying to do, what I think is a simple wire transfer out of the country, and I have done them many times before, but they obviously were not trained in how to do this, and didn’t want to take the time to learn, even though I offered to show them how, ha. There are plenty of other banks in the area, so I went to another bank and completed my transaction. Was a waste of time trying Suntrust. They may be good for people who only want savings and checking accounts as they don’t seem to know how to do much more than that.

Suntrust makes my Festivus «Airing of the Grievances» list every single year. Suntrust, in 2013, YOU DISAPPOINTED ME.
This particular Ruskin Suntrust is a vast empty space, populated by 3 desks, 1 teller, and 8 old people who think they’re at Bank of America. Everyone is friendly enough, but there’s a huge turnover. There’s a drive-​thru too, but I don’t trust them.
Suntrust in general though is an awful establishment. The only reason I’m still there is my (now grandfathered) no-​strings free checking account, so I routinely have only a couple dollars in there. But over the years, I’ve had checks ordered for me (and charged to me) that I’ve never received, overdraft fees levied on me while I had money in my account, and debit cards cancelled for no reason at all. I came here for a car loan, was denied, and then got a loan with the exact terms I was looking to get from the car dealership.
They used to have a rewards points system thing, but I never got any of the rewards I ordered. If it was anyone else besides Suntrust, I’d blame the post office for the theft, but I’m sure it’s some jagweed Suntrust banker using my $ 5 Starbucks cards.
Suntrust, in 2014, YOU DISAPPOINTED ME. Awful, awful, awful.
