Tasty sandwiches on a fairly limited menu. When they moved in, the locals were fascinated by the fancy Coca-Cola «freestyle» machine that let’s you make 50 or 60 different soft drinks, but the crowd has diminished lately.
Though pricey, the sandwiches are hot and tasty. Firehouse is a huge step up from Subway and a nice alternative to Quizno’s. Just don’t come on a diet: a lot of these sandwiches top out over 1,000 calories.

The newest sandwich shop in the River Valley and competing with Subway, Quizno’s, and others. Since most have visited those two, that’s what I’ll compare Firehouse to.
Firehouse is bigger and badder than either Quizno’s or Subway. The place is cavernous. Subway has tried to make a name for itself by being quick, relatively cheap, and healthy. Firehouse is NONE of those. Think of it as a Quizno’s on steroids.
However, if I’m really hungry, just got paid, and want a delicious sandwich, Firehouse is where I’m heading. They taste great and are made to order. Additionally, they have a Coca Cola Freestyle machine which is always fun to play with (Vanilla Rootbeer… mmmmmmm…)
