Small unassuming place off 43 across from the Wal-​Mart Super Center in Russellville, AL. Whenever I’m in town I always stop at the Speedy Pig for some smoked chicken and white sauce. BBQ pork, chicken fingers and surprisingly enough catfish appear to be among the fan favorites. I’m personally never able to bring myself to order anything other than the smoked chicken. I’m always pleased with the service and quality of food.

If you want to great food then go speedy pig there food is always great there never had a problem at all they are very nice and the place is always very clean. So if your ever in Russellville And want something good to eat then go to Speedy Pig.

Stopped into Speedy Pig BBQ for lunch during my work break. Ordered the Pulled Pork w/​a side of Mac & Cheese. Pork was tasty, I enjoyed it. Little cup of sauce came with the meal, but really wasn’t needed as they had already put sauce on the meat. Mac & Cheese was decent also. And for a total price of $ 6.47, was a very reasonably priced lunch.

The BBQ pork sandwich with mayo-​slaw was pretty good. The meat was moist and flavorful. I had the fried okra as a side and it was crisp and hot! Nice staff and a clean dining room. Definitely would stop here again.

My classmates and I often eat here for lunch. The food is always good and so is the time it takes to get it. I have tried almost everything on the menu and never been disappointed.
My favorite thing to order is the smoked chicken with white sauce. Fantastic! The catfish, BBQ, and chicken tenders are good as well.
Table service is not typically needed after they deliver the food to your table. The drinks are self serve, so you have you refill yourself, which is fine with me.
The restaurant is small, but always neat and clean. Would highly recommend if passing thru this area. The prices cant be beat either.

This is a hometown owned/​operated business that has been in Russellville for many years. The BBQ is good, smoked chicken is great, but the chicken finger & spicy French fry basket with that WONDERFUL sauce is the best thing on the menu.

This place is awesome. The menu is simple and the food is delicious, it’s a no nonsense tasty BBQ joint. I really liked the fact that there are free drink refills in the laid-​back dining room area.

I can’t believe no one has mentioned the chicken fingers! They are the reason I go back. Of course pork, ribs and smoked chicken is great too.

We drove 28 miles from Red Bay, AL to revisit this restaurant, after discovering it a couple of years ago when we were visiting the area. The smoked chicken is one of the best flavors we’ve ever tasted. And our friend really like the BBQ pulled pork. For an inexpensive place with friendly staff, it’s hard to beat. My only complaint might be the plastic fork, hard to tear apart a chicken (I guess you’re supposed to dig into it with fingers and teeth and get all messy) and you’re left to discover the plastic knives in a container on the counter.
