Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant

The Hong Kong Buffett is Chinese restaurant that located near by La Tech in Ruston La. If you come here, you will not be disappointed with the food. The food here is cook very nicely and taste great. All of the food is prepared extremely well. The price is not too much $$ and if you are tech student that’s a good thing. Highly recommended if your looking for good Chinese food and/​or passing though Ruston.

If you go when the food is fresh, you’ll have a nice experience.

Terrible customer service. Racist. Demeaning. Ridiculous. They watch u the min u walk in till u walk out. They follow you around to make sure you don’t scoop too much. If you do they snatch the spoon out of ur hand and yell at you to get out. Even though you already paid! The food was good but if they treat the customers that bad then who knows if they take care with the food! Never again!

Buffets can carry all sorts of sketchy ideals and this place doesn’t disappoint: in sketchiness and in yumminess. The left side is much less appealing to sit at with weird adornments on the walls and hospital green wallpaper. The right side is much nicer date-​material. It appears as though they were remodeling and never finished. Anyways, sit at the booths on the right. Either way though the food is what matters.
With two aisles of buffet food and four rows in total, they have: cheesy crabmeat, breaded shrimp, mussels, fried rice, soups, stuffed mushrooms, lots of chicken and steak stir-​fries with veggies in different sauces, etc. Lots of veggie options, seafood options, and meat too. Good for everyone, we left happy. The only improvements I wish they’d make is better desserts and refill the food more often.
Thankfully, prices are extremely cheap — $ 6.99 for lunch and about $ 8 for dinner on weeknights. Just make sure you drink lots of water, not the healthiest, but definitely satisfying.
