This is truly a GEM of a place to go if you enjoy fresh picked peaches, preserves, and all things PEACHES!!! You will eat your head off! Peach season is in late May and ends early summer. You can get a pre packed bags of peaches or a basket full; if that is your option. The peaches are fresh and reasonable for the quantity of fruit you receive. Besides Louisiana Tech, Mitcham Farms is a wonderful place for fresh fruit!

We had to call for hours to the peach store and arrived on a Saturday morning. Got some of the best peaches I’ve ever had — a small bushel for $ 6 and 3 peach ice creams from the peach store. My friend said it was the best ice cream he’s ever had and was his favorite place on his visit to Ruston.
The best part is the view of the orchards. Sit on your car and enjoy an ice cream. You won’t be disappointed.
