J P Park Laundromat

Dryers suck! Takes forever to dry a small amount of clothes. I’m use to dryers that are very hot and dry fast. Looks like I have to travel out of town to my old spot :(

First things first. This was the *worst* soup I have ever had. It tasted like detergent, and it had someone’s dirty socks floating in it… Huh? What’s that hon? This is a Laundromat? Oh, OK, maybe I shouldn’t have had that soup… my tummy hurts.
Wait, why am I reviewing a Laundromat on Unilocal?Isn’t Unilocal for restaurants? I’m confused…
JP Park is a great laundromat. They have DIY coin-​op machines, as well as a drop and go service. GF and I needed to wash clothes, and didn’t want to use the machines at the hotel.
Prices are good, the place is clean, it wasn’t crowded on a Sunday afternoon. Plenty of carts and room for folding clothes.
Seating is a little thin, with just a few chairs and stools, but that’s OK. The machines are quick, so you don’t feel like you are going to be there forever. I think most folks use the Wash and Fold service, so it isn’t crowded. And there is plenty of food within walking distance, so if you need some lunch, you’re good.
The crew there is amazing. They have a great system of ticketing the laundry, and they fold clothes faster than I have ever seen. If I ever need to return, I am going to be lazy and let them wash and fold for me.
As a laundromat, it’s top notch. As a restaurant, it’s awful. Avoid the soup.

I enjoy doing my laundry here. On Sunday’s it’s always easy to find parking out front, there’s a few things in walking distance to keep you busy while you wait in Rutherford (Library, bagel shop, Dunkin donuts, VEGAN cupcake spot, etc)
They have a triple load washer for 4.75, which seems a little steep. They also have a double loader for 2.75 but I think calling it a double load might be a stretch cause it seems kinda tight. The dryers are a qtr for 8min, I usually use 5.
The machines only take quarters so when you’re feeding them into the dryer it starts to get ridiculous around the 12 qtr mark.
Everything’s always been pretty clean. And I’ve never had to wait to get a machine.
They have 2 TVs, a little table waiting area, and a little bar area. I’ve always been comfortable.
You can also drop off your clothes here, but I haven’t done that yet.
They have a Vending machine for ‘suds n such’ and drinks and snacks. Of course a coin machine

How can you get excited about a laundromat? When wash ‘n fold means a big bag of crumpled clothes that are returned in a teeny tiny bag, expertly folded with no wrinkles and smelling fresher than a botanical garden. Yes I am excited to have clean shirts and jammies. The nicest people too!

Extremely clean, always friendly, water is actually hot! Not like most of the laundromats in this area. Best one around for sure!
