I could not find this place today. I think they went out of business. There is a deli place in this area that sells bagels and sandwiches, I think it is called Olivia’s.

***Vermont Bagel Café has moved to 199 Stratton Rd, Rutland, VT*** They have moved but haven’t updated their info here or on their Facebook page! It is fairly close to their old location but on a different street. Now they are a small deli inside a convenience store. They have a decent seating area with booths and a TV, so it doesn’t exactly feel like you’re sitting inside a 7 – 11, but the ambiance isn’t really what I’d consider to be a café! Don’t come here to relax inside a small café or people watch. It’s an OK option for a super quick breakfast or lunch. They have some bagel sandwiches, egg sandwiches, and of course a variety of cream cheeses. We arrived at 2pm and they had stopped baking their bagels at noon, so there were only two kinds of bagels left. The asiago bagels were actually pretty good — nice flavor, decent texture(remember, this isn’t Montréal or NYC here), and the scallion cream cheese was great.

This place reminds me of a Panera except that its not corporate which is awesome. Great selection of bagels & pastries for breakfast as well as sandwiches for lunch. The prices are reasonable and the service is very fast & friendly.
