Extremely bad customer experience. These guys refused an exchange order (an exchange, mind you) when a clerical error resulted in the wrong tile size being ordered by our contractor, thereby saddling us with unusable tile. Totally unreasonable, especially given this was a standard, in stock, catalog tile with zero customization AND we offered to pay both shipping and restocking. Don’t work with them — clearly they’re concerned about the ability to move even their standard product. It’s a shame, bc the people at the design center are lovely, but something seems to be rotten at HQ.

FYI — This place is only for contractors and designers with a wholesale license. You can go in to look, but if you are a homeowner doing it on your own, you can’t buy anything. They probably should have a sign on the door or in the showroom. By reading a few reviews here, it makes it seem like you can, as a consumer, go in and view/buy stuff.

This place is great for contractors and designers. They always have what I need and if they don’t they sure will find it or something even better. The customer service desk is always hummin along getting everyone what they need, including me, a small interior designer from Marin. The new branch manager is great too. He is always helpful and very knowledgeable with all the products. I’ve done kitchens, bathrooms, entryways, outside BBQ’s and fire places using Dal Tile products. They always come through!
This place is most helpful to contractors and designers. I highly recommended this tile showroom/warehouse for contractors and designers.

I went to Daltile looking to match some 25 year old tile. Although they didn’t have precisely what I needed they did have something pretty close that would do the trick. The guy that helped us was really helpful, and also suggested a place in San Francisco that might be a good place to a have a better match. Beautiful tile in their nice spacious showrooms though!

I didn’t end up getting tile from here, so take this review with a grain of salt. Daltile didn’t have what I needed in stock, and couldn’t ship it from another warehouse quite fast enough for my needs. But the customer service desk really tried to help out, even offering to let me pick up my tiny order a little earlier than they normally would, just because I sounded stressed out. Pleasantly surprised by the helpfulness!

This places serves both professionals and has a showroom for consumers, though most people who come here are referred by their contractor. A bargain tile place, Dal-tile is not. However, they do have a pretty extensive selection of high-quality tile, both classic and modern, ceramic and natural stone. The customer service I received was very good overall, and I am very happy with the look and quality of the white hexagonal floor tile I bought ($ 6/sq ft). But I do I feel the prices are a bit high and they were short on my order when I came to pick it up. Though they caught the mistake and had the remaining product shipped to my house within a few days, the delay was an avoidable and unnecessary stress.
