Wonderful family-owned place to grab fast chinese! Great flavors! Me and the kids love the flat noodles since we eat gluten free, and my husband gets jalapeño chicken extra spicy every time! They are a sweet family and very accommodating! They’ve become our go-to place for those nights we don’t want to cook!

I found this little gem after the previous owners sold it. Before Ming and his family took over I would not eat there. But since he took it over the food is terrific. Ming and his family are Chinese and the food is authentic. Great flavors and textures, lots of options, lunch specials and very kind people make this restaurant very special to my heart. My family and I eat there several times a month and never ever regret it. My favorite dish is the Jalapeño chicken extra spicy. I like the food hot! They also have gluten free options which makes it a great choice for my oldest. Before Panda Chef my kids didn’t even like Chinese food. Now they request it. I love supporting small businesses. I love it even more when the business is worthwhile like this. I would highly recommend anyone who wants genuine Chinese take out to eat from this establishment. One of the best in my humble opinion. By the way did I mention I am a professional chef?

Food was very well done and cooked in a timely matter. The portions are family sized and include rice and an eggroll. If I knew they delivered I would not have gone to the place itself. The place is why I am taking one star off. Very big open space, not too clean. There was a staff member who had their son sleeping on one of the tables! And the hostess had a see through shirt that was exposing her torso. If this was a Chinese outfit I would understand but it clearly wasnt. If you ever do get food from here are sure to take out not dine in.

PROS: Atmosphere was ok, funny wall art, took me back. Decent sized portions for family style Food was so so, presentation was good. CONS: Sweet and sour and egg drop was too salty. Fried egg noodles were stale. ¼ of the menu had tofu, yet they’re out of it, literally, had it written on menus. I understand we were the only dine in customers, but very humid and warm inside. Costly for meh! I will not return.

Food was great! Ordered for delivery but didn’t receive everything I had ordered over the phone. Common misunderstanding, no biggy. I called back in and they were happy to come back out and correct the order. Very nice people. I’d recommend them any day! :)

Dont waste your time or money. They raised their prices. The menu online aren’t the right prices. Dont you dare modify anything. I got charged $ 2 to add onion. Unfortunately I learned about the horrible health department scores after I ate there. Their drink machine was out of 3 sodas and the place was filthy… never again. Stay far far away!

it the only chinese place i go to when i’m in sachse with my parents, they can always make the food the way i wanted, i love the people there. I always get the lunch special Mongolian beef with hot and sour soup, and their food is reasonably priced.

You might want to check out the Restaurant Inspection Scores before eating here: Last week I picked up a meal and took it home. When I opened it, I found they did not include my rice. I called them and they said I could come back and get it. I asked them if that was my only option. They said yes but they would give me a discount on my next meal(not a free meal, a discount which probably would have been $ 1.00). I asked them to deliver it. I could hear them talking. They were saying it was not worth them delivering as the rice was worth only $ 0.99. Can you believe that? Finally, they agreed to deliver it. I expected at least an egg roll for my trouble. Nope. Just rice, and a weak sorry. When you add the low health dept scores(month after month) along with their lack of customer service, I say go elsewhere.

We tried this place after they opened back on 2012 and we said we would not go back, but we were craving something fast and tried again. They have changed the menu and cook, because the food is better. Hunan combo and garlic shrimp were good with hot and sour soup. The shrimp were large and fresh. Now everyone has a taste preference, but I liked the dark sauce. I also had the Kung Pao chicken and it had a good flavor too.

The food was okay but the service was horrible. We walked in and the four of us said it was our first time at this restaurant, the cashier said we had to order at the register. We placed a large order since we wanted to taste the food and see whether or not we would be coming back. She gave us cups to get our own drinks from the soda machine. We looked for a booth and sat down, soon people started coming in. They all went straight to sit down as they came in, a gentleman who looked like he was the owner went to their table and would offer them a drink and he himself would go fill their cups. We sat there wondering why the service to others an not us, the cashier then all of a sudden became a waitress but never came to our booth to check on us only the others. The food was not the greatest but the service was horrible. I could only think that it was a racial issue or they were just tired and moody from a long day, either way, they have lost a customer(4actually, plus our family and friends) and earned a bad review.

I’ve ordered from this place a few times now. I get the same thing every time. Thai Basil Chicken. It’s super spicy and super delicious. It’s probably some of the best take out you can get, but I can’t say much about the other stuff. I will however say I don’t understand the hype people have here about Lucky Chan. I remember the place well, it served it’s purpose, but I wasn’t all that impressed. I hope this place works out, as it seems to be better to me, and seems to be one of the few chinese restaurants in the area that has a diverse menu. I plan on trying some other things in the future, hopefully that can rival the thai basil chicken.

this is 1 of those places I would never have tried except for Unilocal… located in a new, half vacant strip shopping center… you walkin and place your order at the counter… they will then bring it to you at the table… it took about 20 to 25 minutes for me to get my lunch order… however that was because I had ordered tofu substitute and they did a great job… food was fresh, delicious, not greasy, and lots of it… I brought almost ½ home with me for lunch tomorrow… you get a choice with a lunch special of spring rolls or soup… I chose spring roll because I am vegetarian… it was a little disappointing… fresh, not greasy, but not many veggies… next time I will try the soup… huge portions and it looked very good… for $ 5.25 you can’t beat it!!! they are also very nice here…

We had ordered twice from Panda Chef online once last year and once again today we waiting for a hour and a half when they said it will only take 30 to 45 mins. We call up to the store and talk with Management they would not do anything for us and they kept saying its on his way for the last 30 mins and we are just right down the street. They never refund our money and doing anything for us. We like the food but service sucks. About 2 hrs later we finally got our food and Management didn’t care at all. We will not be back.

You know this place gets a bad rap because Lucky Chan had some serious good food. But Panda is close, it’s cheap, and it satisfies our need for take out Chinese food. The portions are huge! We get the sweet and sour chicken and two egg rolls for $ 10. Dinner for two for $ 10? Yes please! We have never had anything negative to say and will continue to order our take out.

This was not good at all. OH how I miss the loved Lucky Chan. The food that we got was over cooked and dry. We got food for 3 adults with a few apps and it was $ 60. If you asked for sauce(cause the food was dry) they said sure but charged for it. Will not go back

Got sesame chicken and hot ‘n sour soup with some vegetable egg rolls. Egg rolls were more roll than vegetable. Sesame chicken had an odd and way too sugary taste to it. Hot ‘n sour soup was okay. Will not be going back.

This is in the location of the closed Lucky Chan. We(Wife and I) were very excited to see another chinees place go in there we loved Lucky Chan. When we went we did not see pork fried rice on the menu so I asked they told me pork is to expensive so they dont cary it. Wow ok then. everything we did get was ok and just ok. There are a few things that are a must in my opioan in a chinees place good pork fried rice, good egg rols not a must but it helps is good steamed dumpling. they struck out in all three. I will not go back

I’ve only had one meal from here and they just opened so there are definitely kinks to work out, so I’ll edit this in the future should I see fit. I love General Tso’s chicken and I got a huge amount, but it was soaked in sauce that was way too sweet and I didn’t really care for it at all. My mom ordered the Hunan Chicken which was a lot better in my opinion.
