This was my third time staying at this hotel in the past year, and I have always been very pleased. The room was clean and pleasant. The shower never ran out of hot water so I could really relax and steam up the whole bathroom. There was a coffee maker in the room which I used generously. The bed was very comfortable, but the pillows were a little too squishy for my tastes. The internet works pretty well. I was able to use Netflix uninterrupted whether I was using wifi or the ethernet cable provided in the room. Breakfast is pretty awesome. They offer orange and cranberry juices, muffins, bagels, bread, pancakes or french toast, scrambled eggs or omelets, sausage patties or links, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, cereals, milk, butter, jelly, and peanut butter. The coffee was not my favorite, but I heard other hotel patrons saying they thought it was really good. This hotel also offers dinner for about $ 10 with two different choices of food. They have apples, coffee, and tea available all day. They also have mugs available if you’d rather use that than a paper cup. For the price, this is my favorite hotel in the area and I will definitely be back for another stay.

Good hotel! Looking to stay a night it’s good! The room smelt pretty strong of something not sure what. Wall paper was coming down. Breakfast was good, pool was clean and warm and a lot of clean pool towels every time we needed them. Good location. For the price and last minute was it was ok… If I had more time I would stay somewhere better.

Great Room. Great Price. I recently moved away from Maine and was returning to tie up some loose ends. This hotel was perfect. Easy booking. Stayed for three nights. Very comfortable and clean. Breakfast could have been a little better. Coffee was weak and the food seemed out of date. So I usually left in the morning and went out for coffee and breakfast. The room itself was alright. Would of like to have a coffee pot and fridge in the room. I will stay here again.

Nice hotel that we stayed at for our trip. It was a bit confusing to find because we first got there around 1am but its clean, the staff is friendly and the service is great. It’s an affordable price and only 20 minutes away from Portland and even closer to Old Orchard Beach. Great place to stay if you have a family with young kids.

I stayed at the Ramada with my gal pal during a spontaneous trip to Maine to celebrate some unusually nice autumn weather. The hotel was easy enough to find and the front desk staff was pleasant, but the overall experience was less than ideal. Upon entering our room on the second floor, we were immediately greeted by the sound of rushing water. We actually thought someone was in our bathroom — yikes! But as we opened the door, we discovered the toilet was making this very loud sound. After removing the tank lid we discovered something was definitely wrong and had to turn the water off. The toilet at this point was non-functioning. We tried putting in a call to the front desk only to discover that neither of the two phones in our room worked. We walked down there and the night manager came to take a look but said there was nothing he could do besides what we’d already done. Put a damper on our wine-drinking plans! All in all, I would not choose to stay here again. The AC is noisy, the rooms need renovating, and there are so many better options in the area if you take a drive around.

THEBEDSAREFANTASTIC!!! Thank goodness for the beds, otherwise I would have slept in my car. It’s not filthy, just an old hotel«off the turnpike» that is in DIRE need of a spruce up and a load of Febreeze. I thoroughly enjoy relaxing in plush chair to enjoy a Good Book but this chair was stained from one end to the other — never sat in it. I’m sure it’s comfortable but I opted for the edge of the bed. Did I mention the bed was fantastic? It was a very average stay and it was a good nights sleep but do not plan your dream vacation to the great state of Maine around this hotel. Travel safe!

This was one of the only places that wasnt full(on a thursday night). The front desk person, Ben, was extremely friendly and helpful. He made a weary traveler’s stressful evening(searching for hotels) turn into a restful night sleep. Room was clean, bed nice and firm, citrus soap smelled very good, hot continental breakfast in the morning was alright, and the price was reasonable. Room smelled clean and it was quiet. Only issue was that the parking lot seemed to be under construction or something and there was no way to drive up to the front door. Also the hot water faucet was very, very hot so be careful.

Remember kids: You get what you pay for. I picked this place because it was cheap. I wasn’t expecting the Ritz. Just a clean, safe place to lay my head for the night. Something to know about getting here: There are two ways to get in… An exit off the turnpike(isn’t that what you east coasters call that thing?) that is connected directly to the hotel and a regular exit that requires you drive in a giant circle on side streets. Take the one that requires you go in a circle. Inexplicably, the two parking lots aren’t connected, so when you leave the parking lot from the exit that connected you to the turnpike you can only continue going north. Pain. in. the. ass. Ramada, spend the money and connect your two parking lots. It will save everyone a ton of trouble. I arrived an hour before check-in and they were gracious enough to get me in my room early. The woman at the front desk was chipper and polite. When I got up to my room, the second I walked in, I was hit with a very distinct… odor. It wasn’t cigarettes. It was musty… and… not pleasant. I opened the windows(if you can can call that two inch crack really«opening») and turned on the A/C. Meanwhile, I discovered the light in the bathroom was on the outs. There is nothing more annoying than a flickering fluorescent. Ugh. After an hour, the smell had not gone away, so I called the front desk and asked for a new room. She said no immediately — they were full due to the holiday — but then called me back not even five minutes later and said she could move me after all. When I walked into my new room, guess what? SAME. DAMN. SMELL. I don’t know what it is, Ramada! WHATMAKESTHATSMELL?! Maybe all the rooms smell that way! Who knows! But that shit ain’t going away. I eventually got used to it, but guys, seriously, you need to fix that. It didn’t seem to «stick» to me or any of my stuff… but seriously. Gross. The next morning as I left my room, I realize I had left my key inside. I went downstairs and let the desk know… and the woman at the front made a show of mocking me. She was kidding, I’m sure, but terrible customer service, no less. Over all, the rooms seems clean. The bathroom were old, but clean(and the light in my new room worked), although one of my towels had a blue stain on it(ink?). If a towel is stained, they should get rid of it. No matter WHAT the stain is. Unfortunately, the walls are really thin and I was woken up every morning by the neighbors letting their children run screaming up and down the hallway for an hour(not Ramada’s fault. But seriously, parents? RUDE. EXTRARUDE. IHOPEYOUCHOKEONYOURFREEBREAKFASTRUDE). The provided breakfast is pretty standard: cereal, yogurt, eggs, cinnamon rolls, bagels, fruit. They breakfast bar stayed open til 10am which was fantastic for a late sleeper like me. Usually those things close shop at, like, 8 and I starve all morning. I had one king sized bed which I found to be comfortable. The linens were clean and the pillows soft. The iron worked and was clean, as was the ironing board. The hotel is obviously not new, but is by no means filthy, nor did I ever fee unsafe. It’s just old. I wouldn’t pay more than $ 70/night to stay here.
